Spartan breakfast for sure. Good orange juice, but our request online for wholemeal bread was ignored. Or maybe not viewed by the manager. Real coffee would be appreciated, as not even a plunger or percolator was available if you brought your own coffee. Instant coffee does not cut it these days.

Brown bread please, real coffee or at least a plunger, as this is hard to carry when travelling by bus. All taps are hard to turn off, need new tap washers. Lose few chairs in the tiny dining area, no room for that many chairs

Great room and big bathroom. Small kitchen but plenty of stoves and there were many free things like aluminium foils for sandwiches, salt, sunscreen. There was a dog as well and for me it's like 10/10 but they should specify it.

They didn't specify that there is a dog (I love dogs and it was a plus for me, but you should still say it clearly). The location is a bit far from the top attraction but you can still move easily. The washing machine was garbage. I didn't like the policy of you can book a double room only if you book it for 3 days and the shared room are only available for girls. It sounds disrespectful.

I had a really comfortable stay at CStay. The facilities were great. Pool was small but nice, lots of hammocks everywhere to lounge in. Decent washing and shower facilities. The dorms were really nice, plenty of space around each bed, all with their own cupboard and plenty of plugs, which you don’t seem to get anywhere!! Really clean, the hostel has lots of live in staff who are very friendly and keep the rooms and facilities spotless! The hostel dog is absolutely gorgeous and so friendly and soft. I even got to play with him by the pool, which was a very cute experience. I’d really recommend staying here. It’s super easy to get to on the bus, you’re literally dropped right outside. Beach is a 2 min walk away, with a couple cafes and restaurants and a bar. Kitchen is well equipped and clean. Can’t fault it!! Would definitely stay again!! (I had a friend of mine staying at Nomads at the same time as I was staying in CStay, I wanted somewhere a bit quieter so I could get some sleep, and it did not disappoint!! I slept like a baby, and met lots of friendly people even though it wasn’t a party hostel!!) :)

Hand towels in bathroom would be great!

Sometimes the toilets didn’t flush properly and there wasn’t enough cutlery in the kitchen when multiple people were cooking/eating, but most of the time, it was fine :)

Great place to stay for couples, we liked how quiet it was. The private room we had had a TV and a fridge which was nice. Never too busy in the kitchen and was always clean.

Our stay could've been perfect except for an interaction with the owner on our first night. We wanted to make something for dinner requiring an oven at around 8/8:30pm to find that there is no oven. Fortunately there was a pizza oven available outside (with a sign that stated it didn't close until 9:30pm) When we asked he gave us a hard time, then eventually ended up turning it on for us. Mid way through cooking our dinner he made comments about how "if we were at any other hostel their kitchen closes at 8pm and we would not have been able to cook." not very welcoming feeling from the first night.

Nice location and overall hostel. Good sized common room and outdoor space. Louie the Aussie/collie cross was an absolute dream and the love of my life and I miss him. It was thoroughly cleaned every day, my room was spotless when I checked in. Liked having my own fridge & tv. Hammocks outside were nice to chill in.

Kitchen is a tad small, so you’re all on top of each other if there’s more than one person trying to cook. Really minor issue though.

Common area was comfy with big screen TV that had netflix. Very open feel to the kitchen, common area. Outside places to eat your food. Hammocks around back. Fridge in room. Close to bus stop and beach. 20mins walking distance to Nomads Hostel - where the fun is.

The dog was amazing but needs a lot more exercise - it's a sheepdog but never seems to leave the property. It feels like it is going insane from boredom. I love that dog. Pool is pretty tiny.

I had a great stay at Cstay! The room has everything you need: air conditioning, fridge and a sink. The common areas had everything you need, good sized kitchen and couple couches with a tv and Netflix access. Having a pool and washers&dryers was an awesome plus! The highlight of your stay will definitely be Louie, such a friendly and energetic dog!!

Simple lodging in a brilliant location. The lounge area was really nice and comfortable and the kitchen had everything you needed. The host had some great information about the area, and supplied us with a map of everything to see. Louie the hostel dog was lovely!

The toilets could do with an update and the kitchen had a lot of flies but I don’t think that’s the properties fault.

Probably one of the best budget accommodations in Australia : cleverly conceived, small but pleasant rooms in a lush garden with a sink, a very efficient fridge and a flat-screen TV. The shared bathroom, big common kitchen and comfy lounge are all conveniently close to the rooms. There's even a lovely dog which you can take out for a walk. The location is great, close to the jetty and the bus terminal. The bus even stops in front of the hotel if asked.

This place which was once impeccably maintained shows some signs of neglect. The rooms, shared bathroom and kitchen are still very clean but the outside area is no longer properly maintained. A slight minus point though compared to the place's many assets.
