The contact less checking in is an excellent added touch. No need to remember the key and a very simple process.

The only issue was the noise of heavy vehicles passing by. Being the closest room to the road it was a little loud, but that's no fault of the accommodation.

Good location, nice and quiet, clean rooms and quite well presented. New renovated bathrooms, comfortable bed. Good lighting and TV reception was good. I liked the self check in with the electronic locks and code! Not need to bother reception as there was no one there. All good.

There was only one blanket for the bed. It wasn’t warm enough for Australian winters. I would recommend a doona. 10.00 AM checkout was a bit early and I didn’t know until the last minute. No breakfast supplied. A packet breakfast to purchase would be ideal! But no motels seem to do this in Australia.

The rooms and gardens were beautiful, well kept and clean and very close to everything. We hired 5 rooms for 5 couples and were able to check in early, each room had heating and heated sheets which was perfect for the freezing night we had. The rooms were neat and tidy and had everything required for a short stay, microwave, fridge, kettle, coffee, tea and milk. The shower pressure was amazing and hot and the towels were the best I have had at a motel, so soft, toiletries were also provided. Alber was very helpful with any enquiries we had. If you have a large group of friends wanting a beautiful place to stay this is perfect for that, there was plenty of seating for all guests in the garden and deck (in the end our large party of friends from a funeral also booked this motel) it was nice to continue this catch-up at the accommodation.

We were not aware of the rec room that was available, which was locked and unable to be used during our stay, we still enjoyed the garden area though.

The Highlander Motel had ease of check in. No actual reception office, but motel owners were clear in check in process through emails, txts. Shower is amazing. Quiet location. Beds were comfortable. Parking out the back for bigger vechicles.

This is our second stay. Wonderful value for money. 1 minute drive from main street. Very old but exstreamly clean comfortable with the best pillows. Hot shower fridge, microwave extra blankets and really nice towels. Staff text you the door code before arrival with no need to check in and private Will stay again when we visit family. .

The room was very clean, well priced and we had a lovely stay.

The small rocks from the driveway were easily trecked into the room, hurting barefeet inside. Perhaps consider relining with something a bit bigger. We didn't see a single member of staff. I understand that the world is heading towards contact less, but I don't think that should include human contact.

Location was good being on the edge of the town was nice and quiet.

Bathroom was very small with no vanity and no soap holders in the shower. Information on Maryborough would be very useful as well as the surrounding towns.

Really appreciated being upgraded to family room which gave us a table & chairs and it was a bigger room.

One side of the electric blanket didn’t work but my side did! 😜

Really cool place to stay, it has a great old era feel about it but has been tastefully updated with modern features without losing its charm.

WiFi wasn't great in the rooms further away from reception but they did mention they were working on fixing that issue.

The room had all we needed. It was extremely cold & we were very grateful for the heater & electric blankets. Hosts were very accommodating & prompt at getting towels to our room when we mentioned we didn’t have any.
