The staff is very welcoming and the check-in process is detailed with all the necessary information to have a nice stay and enjoy the island. The room is well-equipped with air conditioning and hot water. The included breakfast has a variety of foods to choose from. In the resort, there is a restaurant with good food, including vegetarian options, and friendly staff. There is also a diving center with very professional and attentive personnel. All the dives were very well organized, and they always make you feel safe and make sure you have fun. For me, the location was great because it is situated right at Coral Bay and you have easy access to other nearby beaches as well as Long Beach on the other side of the island.

Resort was good, staff helpful, restaurant/bar area lovely to sit in, bed comfy. Lots of other nice places to eat nearby, particularly the one behind the accomodation. Nice that they put events on, including film night.

Mosquitoes an issue, the nets have holes in them and need replacing. We've stayed in much cheaper accommodation with much better mosquito nets. Rooms quite small. It was expensive, but to be expected on the island.

We ended up staying an additional night, so that should tell you how much we loved everything!🤩 Ombak was the perfect choice in a perfect location—and by perfect, I mean paradise. The room was comfortable and exactly as described. The entire staff at Ombak was friendly and welcoming, but I have to give a special shoutout to Farah. She is the embodiment of hospitality: always smiling, polite, kind, funny, friendly, easy to talk to, and incredibly professional. She’s the best ‘welcome to Perhentian’ you could ask for!😊

The food at Ombak for lunch and dinner was very good—great taste and variety. However, the breakfast options felt quite limited and could definitely be improved to match the quality of the other meals. That said, overall the food was amazing😊

I like that we did not have to walk very far from the jetty. I like the friendly staff -- and the cafe was very nice. The food served at the cafe is really nice..and I can lepak at the cafe --reading book --drinking coffee...excellent stay!

The facility could create more water sources outside for visitors to wash their feet, it would be great. This will make it easier for us to wash our feet and room will be cleaner.

First line access to the sea. Fantastic dive center (best we've ever seen). Amazing friendly staff. Really doing their best. The room is not luxury per se, but a nice one given that we're on an island.

No specific "beach" area for lounging, you just walk to the waterfront. The sea itself is pretty shallow.

All the staff were incredibly warm and helpful. I really enjoyed my stay at Ombak, it was comfortable, clean and had a lovely atmosphere- which I appreciated as a solo female traveller. The movie nights in the evening were a lovely way to relax too after a full day diving!

Compared to the standard budget-accomodations that you can find in Kecil, Ombok stands for its better quality: rooms are clean and comfortable and the standards do meet the western expectations (even though the word "resort" can be misleading - please do not expect the Marriot here). The staff is AMAZING (big shout out for the female receptionists) and goes above and beyond to help you out and make you feel home; they also help to reserve boat trips (with same prices of outside providers). The location is definitely great too as being in the quiet Coral Bay in front of the jetty is only a 10 minute walk to Long Beach

The barthrooms are very basics (e.g open shower, very small sink, etc) and could definitely be improved in the future. The price is a bit higher for what you get but it's still worth it

Our recent stay at Ombak Dive Resort was nothing short of amazing, and a huge part of that was thanks to Nabeel at the reception! From the moment we arrived, he greeted us with genuine warmth and professionalism, making us feel instantly welcome. His attention to detail was remarkable—he patiently answered all our questions, offered personalized recommendations for dining and activities, and even helped us book a Scuba Dive. The resort itself is stunning: our room was good and impeccably clean. But what truly set this experience apart was Nabeel’s dedication. He went above and beyond to ensure every aspect of our stay was perfect. We’ll definitely return, and we’ll recommend Ombak to everyone (especially if they’re lucky enough to meet Nabeel!) 10 out of 10 to the ladies in reception. Gerat customer service. 8 out of 10 for the room. Its a bit small but who goes to the Perhentians to stay in the room all day 5 out of 10 for the breakfast. Overall though enjoyed my stay even though the price was a bit high to what you get but its on an island so have to expect to pay a bit more

It was one of the best resorts in the area, but leaves a lot to be desired compared to the hotels inland. The room was rather small, with little access to light and fresh air - I undestand it is a beach resort, but this was my feeling...

Small room with little light as curtains had to be closed all the time due to privacy. No possibility to keep mosquitos 100% out, and naturally sand getting in. Beware the weather when you cross to the Island, and from the mooring to the Resort, not easy to carry a suitcase, better take backsack...
