Lovely friendly staff at Reception and restaurant, and fantastic spa therapist. Wines and goodies to buy at reception. Swimming pool with towels from Reception. Wine expert waiters and wines in cellars to view, plus wine / artist posters on walls. Gardens to walk in and view. Exquisite chapel open to savour. Dog friendly (and non recyclable bin in street nearby). Pretty delish dinner (possibly too much!) and good breakfast buffet selection. Lovely room big bed big bathroom with bath tub and shower, aircon (needed!). Clearly run with love and respect for the history and the locale. Locals and foreign guests a plenty.

Coffee! The machine for guests (and staff?) is disappointing, just not up to the standards of a genuine properly made coffee by someone who knows. A little fridge in the bedroom would be useful. Prix fixe welcome but made you eat too much!

It's a beautiful hotel set in charming grounds. The restaurant provides an excellent dining experience. The buildings and grounds are simply beautiful with added bonus' of stunning views and constant bird song from the specimen trees. I had a wonderful two night stay and felt no temptation to leave the hotel. Thank you all for a lovely stay

I would have liked to be able to hang the shower rose over the bath such that I had both hands free to shower.

Lovely setting above the town, in its own park with great views across the valley. Good secure parking in the grounds. Large and comfortable room, well equipped with the usual facilities and good wifi connection. As an unexpected bonus, it has a side business running wine tastings and selling good wines at fair prices.

The breakfast was good as continental breakfasts go, but lacked a cooked offering.

Beautiful property! Beautiful park, garden and views. Private and spacious grounds. Friendly staff.

The bedroom was on the small side without much room for bags and suitcases. Small bathroom, where only one person could be at a time. It felt really cramped.

The bedroom had a strange layup on two levels and was impersonal. The view from my window was really uninteresting and overlooking the shopping center down the hill. Some of the staff was not super friendly.

Room was very old but very nice and the bathroom worked well. Dinner was ok but menu choice limited

There were a lot of staff but it was very pretentious and not particularly friendly. The breakfast was not good value for money. We were down an hour before the end of service and there was little choice. Croissants had not been replenished or eggs. Very disappointing.

We loved the history of the various buildings. Immediately we entered there was a feeling of undeniable calm. The grounds, all public areas and our room were all well kept, clean and superb. All staff made us feel very welcome. The bed was super comfy.

Absolutely nothing negative to say about this lovely hotel.

Beautiful location !!!!

It was my fault that I didn’t make a reservation for dinner . We arrived late and was told no ….. the reception person was very gracious …. The person she asked at the restaurant was very curt but I assumed they were overwhelmed . As I said it was our fault . Fair warning to anyone staying …. Plan ahead . We ended up with walking to a store in town . Just as well as we were heading to Père Bise in Talloires the next night. Breakfast was very nice as was the staff .

Surprising, great welcome from personable staff,, great historic venue well catered for, overall delighted with stay, thank you.

Not much. Enjoyed the evening meal tho the dessert and cheese course were uninspired relative to starters and main course.

The place was lovely and in a beautiful setting, rooms were a very good size and the breakfast and evening meals where good value. Swimming pool was amazing to with a wonderful view

There was no tea or coffee making facilities in the room.
