The location was perfect, on the main road, few minutes walk to the beach. The bed was very comfortable, and the fan, despite off our frist impression worked really good. We have a good night sleep there, and for that price it would be hard to find something similar at Hiriketiya.

We booked a nicer room and after checking in, they gave us one of the most basic ones because the nicer room was occupied. Though they paid back the difference. Estetically the room looked like a Mordor hole, a layer of paint and some minor improvements would be good, but then again, it was very cheap and fulfilled its purpose.

It’s a very peaceful atmosphere the owner plays relaxing music in the reception and greeted us so warmly. We stayed with him for part of our stay in hiriketiya but every time we passed he would also come over and make sure we were okay. the location is also perfect with it being in the hub of great local restaurants and only a 5 minute walk from the beach. The rooms are definitely worth what you’re paying for. Very basic and perfect for budget travelling.

The only thing I would warn people about is how hot the rooms can get without any A/C but if you’re not bothered then it’s perfect. The room also comes with a fan so wasn’t a problem for us!

The host (Saman) is so super sweet and lovely. He was always helping us out with everything and was taking care of us. The location is great, near the beach. There is wifi. They offer laundry service. The bed has a mosquitonet. For the price it is fair. And we rated it a 10, because of the lovely amazing host Saman. He deserves a salary increase. Thank you for the lovely days.

Even though the room was basic, the owner made us feel like part of the family. He was happy to share stories and hear ours, and we only spent 2 nights here but it felt like we have known the owner for much longer! Only a 10-min walk to the beach, & It's a cheap place for hiriketiya beach and the owner understands very well that some people travel on a budget and is happy to help out finding good options in this. Not much daylight in the room, but you don't come here to spend much time in the room ;)

We had a lovely stay at Orchid Villa. The room was clean and spacious and the location is just few hundred meters from the beach. The owner is a very warm and kind person always happy to help with anything. We also had some great conversation at his garden patio. We would definitely recommend this place. Great value for money!

Very basic stay, everything you need. Host family is beautiful and happy to help wherever you need. Keep in mind, what you get is exactly what you pay for. Very basic. Traveling on a budget my partner and I where more then happy.

Cafe next door, does play music loud. Definitely manageable but keep that in mind if your trying to sleep early (before 9pm).

Super friendly owner took my friend and I in like we were his children. We offered him some help with short scooter rides, when we left he eventually invited us to his home in Dondra for a goodbye beer. We miss you!!

The bed was confortable and the location was good. Price about right

The floor was filthy, everything in the room needs a good scrub. Also my room was adjacent to the restaurant so there's music from early morning to after dinner. A problem if you want to rest during the afternoon

The owner is amazing very welcoming people. We felt like we are at home The place and location are so nice Beach is close Room is very cosy They have a cafe next to them you can have a nice coffee and breakfast t the morning

Amazing value for money!!! The staff were lovely and the room was so comfortable! Great distance from the beach and local towns and had a really nice food place next door
