I loved the premises, that speak classic luxury. Beautiful room and common space, especially the open living room that is a lovely area to relax at evenings, to do online work with a laptop, or chill with a cup of tea when it rains outside. The staff is very professional, and the maintenance/cleaning services impeccable. One of the main managers - Oshan is the most caring guardian!

• The area outside the hotel outside the fence on the beach is nothing like a luxury experience (the beach itself is normal if you stay elsewhere but if you stay at the hotel I would like properly arranged sun-beds, etc.) • I had a minor unpleasant dinner experience with one of the waiters where he almost refused to serve me at 9pm even if it’s written their kitchen is available until 10 pm (but we all have space for development). • I felt the youngest of the guests during my stay; thus if one is traveling solo, and is younger than 40, I would suggest to look for a more lively place :) • And I didn’t like limited lunch/dinner menu with more western adapted meal options and more western adapted prices as well - so explore the surroundings for a true Sri lankian experience!

Such a great location, close to Tangalle. Big, green property that makes you feel relaxed. You can always find a nice spot to enjoy the shade in hot day, listening sooting sound of waves. Lounge area being one of them. Beautiful pool and vicinity of the beach gives you the choice to enjoy your swim. Room was spacious and inviting, with the big and comfortable bed and nice terrace to enter the garden. A la carte breakfast was amazing, with variety of local and international choices. Compliments to the chef. We had the issue with our shower, but Oshan and his team sorted it out immediately. The only thing we regret is not staying here longer, due to our previously arranged plans, but we are looking forward to our next trip to Sri Lanka and enjoy Taru villas once again.

I and my family spent five nights at Taru Villas, the first two at the Pool House and the remaining three nights at Kurumba House where were upgraded thanks to the kindness of the manager Gihan. Gihan was very attentive, supportive, always professional. Nothing was impossible for him! The stay at the villas exceeded our expectations. Everything was great. The properties were spotless and super comfortable. The food was amazing, fresh juices so tasty! We were being looked after by Ruwan, his service was amazing. He was always there and available but at the same time his presence was very discreet. We would love to come back to the Villas. Thank you all for making our holiday truly special!

From our arrival to our departure the staff were very welcoming and helpful. We decided to book literally a couple of days before - we didn’t want to stay in Mirissa after speaking with several people - and the villa was just beautiful and exceeded what we were looking for. Somewhere quiet, great location, and relaxing. Taru Villas was everything we look for.

Maybe the evening dinner options? We wanted authentic Sri Lankan and the options were mainly western influenced. However there were plenty of options along the beach so we didn’t miss out.

Waking at 6am to join the fishing boats on the sand and watch them head out for the day.The Red Dragon beach hut caught a Tuna for us and cooked it last night with the owners family.Gihan,Lakshitha and all the staff have offered service above and beyond.Being an Aman Junkie,this villa fits our requirements to perfection. We had been here only three hours and extended our stay by an extra day.The Sri Lankan Curry Feast with 11 plates offering such a delicious taste sensation knocked our socks off.

Everything was PERFECT

Beautiful setting in the gardens. Next to the ocean. Can hear the waves breaking on the beach. Really cosy and comfortable room and bed. Lovely finishing touches.

No tea or coffee facilities in the rooms. I’m sure it said it did on the website. Manager tried to say it was a tranquil but there were a lot of small children who were very noisey.

Food was lovely but pricey. Disappointed with the pizza - seemed like a frozen product with some basil leaves added. Couldn’t fault anything else though

Weird that all staff were still wearing masks post covid. Made communication difficult. Obciously this would appeal to some travellers though

This place is an absolute paradise. We stayed at Kurumba House right on the beach with heaps of privacy, a private pool, and incredible service. We were looked after with such care by Donald and the Taru team. The food is incredible too!! Highly recommend doing a cooking class.

The food was of a very high standard; delicious and beautifully presented. The staff were very friendly and helpful. They really went out of their way to ensure their guests were having a great holiday. A very calm and luxurious ambience.

The booking.com web site is misleading. The sea view room has no tea or coffee maker, minibar, electric kettle. The plugs were all subcontinental type D. Only one adaptor was available, but they are easily purchased in Tangalle.

Peaceful, clean small hotel with lovely grounds and all the amenities. The staff were always available and helpful. The food was excellent.

It is a little far from the town of Tangalle. The beach was littered with plastics and other garbage.
