Alanka is a great and fun host. He showed me around, took me to the beaches, parties and places around town. Mostly on the back of his scooter or in his car. He made the experience amazing. Met a lot of really nice people, especially the ones running Silent Point restaurant. Unakuruwa is a small quiet town, great if you wanna get away from it all. Silent beach is possibly the most beautiful beach in Sri Lanka. I booked an extra night and would've booked more if I could but the place was full. Amazing experience. Room are very clean, with your own balcony. I stayed on the top floor with an amazing sea view.

We had a fantastic stay at Amour Surf, so good that we ended up staying an extra night! The owner is very kind and generous and made us feel very welcome during our stay. The guy working there is also so kind and incredibly welcoming. The rooftop views are stunning and it’s a relaxed place to chill out having breakfast or at other times of the day, with a few hammocks and comfy chairs. We also had a great view from our room with a nice sitting area outside. The room itself is nice and simple with a very comfortable bed, and big windows to make the most of the views. It’s just a few minute walk down to the local beach and then maybe 5-10min stroll to another beautiful beach - Silent Beach. The area is really quiet and great if you like to get away from the busy areas! Both beaches have plenty of shade and a couple local beach bars where you can use the loungers if you buy a couple drinks or stay for lunch.

The hotel owner is a very chilled and kind guy, you could always have good conversations with him and he helped you with everything you need immediately and very fast. He was always there for you if needed. The location and the hotel is very close to the silent beach and has a great view, especially from the beautiful rooftop bar. Breakfast was very good and also the room and bathroom is comfortable and clean. The boy who helps him was also very friendly and helping. Thank you very much, we had a great time at the hotel. Our stay at Amour Surf was fantastic! The accommodation is modern and ideally located close to several beaches, especially the enchanting "Silent Beach," which turned out to be the most beautiful spot we visited on our entire trip. The hotel is impeccably clean, featuring spacious rooms with stylish, contemporary decor. Breakfast each morning was delicious and well-balanced, providing the perfect start to a day full of activities. For dinner, we enjoyed a variety of fresh dishes, with an emphasis on freshly caught fish and even lobster, prepared to perfection. The owner, Alanaka, was incredibly kind and helpful, always willing to assist with anything we needed, and his local knowledge was invaluable. I would highly recommend Amour Surf to anyone looking for a peaceful yet vibrant retreat in Sri Lanka and am already looking forward to the day I can return!

Amazing location for beautiful, quiet Unakuruwa beach, where the swimming is lovely. literally 2 minutes away. also just 10 minutes walk from wonderful, wild 'jungle' beach, where you can also swim, and silent beach too which is very picturesque and has a few beachside restaurants. The rooms are really large, cool, with very efficient air con, spotlessly clean, with verandas. There is also a fooftop terrace with hammocks with stunning views across the coadt for breakfast, or just to relax. There are plenty of beautiful birds, lizards, squirrels and monitor lizards to see too. The host family are lovely - responsive, friendly and helpful, we fully recommend!

I couldn’t be happier with my time in amour surf. This place is the perfect spot for enjoy the paradaise!! Location: the place is located in front of an amazing surf beach. You can also walk to other beautiful beaches if you aren’t a surfer. All of them are not busy beaches and super virgin which make it even better. The place: very new and clean place. The AC works perfect and we didn’t had any problem with any of the facilities. The breakfast and dinner are served on the rooftop with an ocean view and hearing. The food: breakfast was amazing and with a lot of food for start the day. The dinner is made out of fresh fish with a lot of local ingredients. 10/10 The people: Alanka is the most helpful host I ever had. He’s super nice and will help you with anything you want. The experience started to be amazing before we arrived. We had an amazing experience and we will be coming back for sure.

The location and soacious are very nice and the upstairs bar and breakfastroom gives a phantastic overview if the vay and the surfers. Silent bay with asandy heach and high waves is on walking disrance too. The breakfast is very fine and the host and owner is very helpful, also for excursions. I went to see the turtles. It is recomnended to stay there, and book a little longer so you really enjoy the coastal vibe.

Great welcome from Alanka, feeling like at home and very chilled Super helpful and great recommendations Alanka checked the food we liked when we mentioned we would eat dinner there, and the fish curry on arrival was AMAZING We arrived at night and the sound of the waves was lovely, confirmed with great view in the morning during our breakfast on the rooftop Short walking distance fromSilent beach and just a quick tuk tuk away from the bet beach in Sri Lanka :) Unakuruwa beach not the best but great coffee place and surrounding beaches are mind blowing

Lovely views of the sea and in the green jungle. The host Alanka was great and cooked a delicious tuna fish dinner for us. Room is big with its own balcony and upstairs on the top veranda you can get a drink and breakfast. Lovely breeze. It’s laid back but runs well. Also we got to see and feed and swim around wild turtles. Really helpful in suggesting the best way to do things. Silent beach is very beautiful and quiet but the waves very strong making swimming quite an experience! There’s another bay that’s quieter nearby and both have beach cafes with delicious locally caught seafood.

a lovely quiet location with a great host and great view of the surf from the rooftop restaurant. the rooms are spacious, clean and have all the comforts you need - hot water, aircon, clothes drying rack and even a fridge. close to two of the best beaches and good restaurants. good value for money. thank you alanka for being such a great host!
