Very nice place with a pretty garden and pool. The rooms are rather basic, but they are clean and comfortable, with the AC and hot water in the shower working properly. The restaurant had some really good and reasonably priced dinner options and a great garden view. Goyambokka Beach is 2 minutes away, Silent Beach is about 30 mins by foot.

At this price, there could be some more amenities in the room, like a kettle and some tea, maybe a mini-fridge. Breakfasts were a bit montonous (just eggs and toast every day), we really missed some Sri Lankan breakfast options we had in other places.

Excellent location-beach is a few meters away. Lovely pool and pool area. Staff is very attentive. Beautiful grounds surrounded by nature.

Deluxe room on the small side. Dark interior and if you open the curtains for light, no privacy. Also, door key is attached to card that has to be kept in slot to provide power. When inside, to lock the door, you have to remove the key card thereby turning off the electricity. Or lock door and replace card, leaving yourself locked into a room with barred windows. Uncomfortable position in case of emergency. They need to provide a second key.

Very nicely located close to Goyambokka beach. Very nice facilities including a beautiful pool. Breakfast was lovely. The guesthouse consists of an older part (4 rooms) and a newer part (3 two-storey villas). During New Year, we were the only guests in the older part, which was brilliant. If all rooms would have been booked, it would have been quite crowded on the shared balconies. The caretaker was lovely and prepared nice breakfast.

Bathroom was a bit sticky. Toilet got completely wet when taking a shower. It would be great to put a whisper in the bathroom.

We had a phenomenal stay at Goyambokka Guesthouse. This was a working vacation and we were worried about the wifi but it worked flawlessly (2 of us on video calls at the same time without problem). The room was large with a big veranda that was amazing and overlooked the pool. We ate many of our meals at the restaurant and all were very satisfactory (definitely try the chili chicken!). Breakfast is simple but filling (the usual- break & jam, eggs, fruit juice or fruit plate, coffee/tea) and I will note that the coffee is great- we stayed at 6 different properties during our time in Sri Lanka and this was the only place whose coffee didn't taste like water. This was our favorite place overall in fact. The staff was exceedingly friendly and helpful, especially Lal. They are genuinely interested in making sure you are happy and have everything you need. When asking about arranging our next move they called a tour guide who came to the property to discuss (and also ending up being a fantastic guide- Around Pearl Tours). We were also able to do laundry. The pool is lovely and because the property only has maybe 7-10 rooms, we always had it to ourselves. Additionally, there are 2 beaches within walking distance. First is Goyambokka beach which is a 2 min walk and super super beautiful. There are restaurant shacks as well for food and drink that also come with lounge beds. The other beach is about 10 mins through the woods and a bit of an adventure to find the first time but is one of the best beaches in Sri Lanka, Silent Beach. At the end of the main road, about a 5-6 min walk, there is also a convenience store with some light groceries/snacks, and most importantly for us, ice cream! Tuktuks are readily available just outside the property and going into Tangelle is maybe a 10 min ride. I would 100% happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a chill escape or an excellent place for remote working.

Not a big deal as we were prepared but toiletries are not provided. You can get some at the little store up the road if needed. Also some nights the wildlife outside was VERY loud. May be okay for some but this kept me up for a while at times! Overall it wasn't a big issue though. Also, there aren't a ton of attractions or tourist-minded things around here, but it is perfect for a nice beach escape and some time away from it all.

The location between goyambokka beach and silent beach was outstanding (the two best beaches in my opinion). Really short walk to both. And if you want to visit Hiriketiya, its only 20min by bus. The staff was very nice, had some nice conversations and it was no problem to extend our stay from 3 to 4 nights. The terrace with our room was very big and comfortable to sit and read a book. Outside shower was a nice touch. The pool was very cozy and the breakfast was very good: choice for how you want your eggs, lots of fruit and enough toast. They also have a good italian espresso (not incl in breakfast)

A little bit more space in the room around the bed would have been nice, but its not a big issue.

The guesthouse is located in very beautiful quiet place. It has nice garden and we enjoyed the swimming pole too. Food in a restaurant was really tasty, portions was big and the price-quality ratio was the best in the area. Special thanks goes to really kind and helpfull stuff. They were willing to cook some special dishes for our little kid. We really appreciate it. Hope to see you soon again. Thank you :)

The staff at Goyambokka Guesthouse are very friendly. I had the western breakfast which I enjoyed. I had dinner at the restaurant every night and I loved eating the delicious curries that the chef cooked!! The rooms were clean and staff attentive. The gardens are beautiful and there are lots of birds to spot, the pool is lovely to relax by and it is a very short walk to the beach. Goyambokka beach is peaceful with not many tourists. a perfect place to relax!

Stuff is friendly and helpful, the food in the restaurant is unexpectedly great and with reasonable prices, the entire retro ambient is pleasant, beach is 1 min walking away

Included breakfast could be monotonous, interior needs some refurbishment and renovation, but those are some minor issues. In general, nothing to dislike.

We arrived a bit fraught but were quickly settled in and sat on the verandah drinking tea from a pot and looking over the front garden. The nearest beach was a five minute walk and is one of the most gorgeous beaches I have seen - a horseshoe cove with white sand and palm trees and a few beach bars/ restaurants selling fish caught by the fishermen in the next cove.

the window to the bathroom did not fully close so we didn't turn the light on at night to avoid attracting insects.

This guesthouse was one of the best we stayed in. The breakfast was good, the staff was kind, and the highlight was the pool. It is located just a 2-minute walk from Goyambokka Beach and 15 minutes from Silent Beach, which are the most beautiful beaches we have seen in Sri Lanka. I believe the guesthouse offers great value for money.
