We originally booked for 1 night as we were traveling through. We loved the beach area so much we decided to stay another night. The first night we had the lower level villa and it was really nice, aircon and a fan and nets (though you didnt need them) and a huge patio. The pool was small and charming, we saw all sorts of wild life. Food at the restaurant was good. Short walk to the beach.

Night 2 we moved to the upstairs room and we were grateful they had another room available, we were told it would be the same room. This room did not have air con or glass windows. I was hot all night and you could here every sound outside, thankful for those nets now! I didnt even know they had rooms with out aircon as that is usually a deal breaker for me.

- location close to the city and nice beaches. - very nice swimming pool - beautiful rooms (luxury villas with pool view are perfect!) - very nice and helpful staff - there was no problem with late check in as well with late check-out.

- in fact - nothing. - However, breakfest could definitely be better. It was average, below the level of the hotel - also, if you are out of season, the beach close to the holel (Goyambokka) is a very bad choice because it looks creepy with closed bars. For out of season, like I was, you have to be prepared to take a tuk-tuk and travel to heihhbourhood beaches

However The air conditioner turned off every 30 minutes The breakfast was weak – just an omelette, fruits, toast, jam, and butter The bed was terrible, and I kept sliding around on the mattress pad Shampoo and shower gel had to be requested We stayed in a standard room, but it’s better to book a villa because our room was very small, despite the description saying it was 29 m² – it was no more than 10 m² The room was very dark with small windows and no privacy – people were sitting and smoking on the balcony next to us Overall, everything was great except for the room and breakfast

This was our most peaceful and resorative stay in Sri Lanka. The room was beautiful, opening onto the garden with the pool in sight, making it a perfect set up for two young children to play and explore fully supervised while we put out feet up . The staff were warm, welcoming and couldn't do enough to help. Our children made great friends with the staff, playing games and helping with jobs and they both cried when we left. Lots of animals around the guesthouse and a very short and easy walk to the beach with had lots of options for food and play. Food at the guesthouse was also brilliant. Couldn't recommend more highly.

One of the best stays we had in Sri Lanka. Located very close to 2 of the most beautiful beaches in the country(silent beach and goyambokka) Nice and clean pool. Staff friendly. Beach towels provided. Rooms clean with nice terrace (we had pool view rooms in the villas). Breakfast was ok. Restaurant prices for both food and drinks were pretty decent. Wish we would have stayed more. Card payment possible without any surcharge.

We liked everything. In my opinion the rating on booking might be influence by the basic rooms maybe because I think the property deserves more.

We stayed 5 nights in villa. The location was perfect - 2 mins to Goyambokkq beach and 10 minutes to the beautiful Secret beach. The room had comfy beds, a large bathroom, safe and nice outdoor area. The landscaping around the property was well done. Staff were very helpful and the food was excellent and good value - don’t go anywhere else for dinner!

It would have been good to have a fridge. The room wasn’t well designed. Although spacious the wall behind the bed made the room squashy and difficult to move around.

Facilities: Although I personally favored the beach over the on-site pool, it remains a stunning feature of the establishment. Tucked away, it offers a cool respite from the scorching sun for those who prefer to lounge in a more shaded outdoor area. The serene ambiance makes it an ideal spot for relaxation and leisure. Dining: The friendly and dedicated service extends to the restaurant, where breakfast and dinner are served. The meals are delicious, reasonably priced, and offer better value compared to beachside options. Portions are generous, catering to all appetites and preferences. Services: The staff facilitated our transportation needs by arranging a tuktuk driver for pick-up from Tangalle upon our arrival. This driver became our go-to for exploring stunning local spots and for our eventual transfer to Galle at the end of our stay, all at very fair prices.

A bit expensive... But : This establishment is a haven for those seeking a blend of adventure and relaxation. Its proximity to two of the area's most beautiful beaches, combined with its lush surroundings, exquisite accommodations, and exceptional service, makes it a highly recommended choice for travelers looking to experience the best of nature with comfort and style.

An excellent and very affordable place to stay. The staff were very hospitable and even organised urgent laundry and bedding changes for us. The food for dinner and lunch from the menu was excellent too. The breakfast was delicious and good for a 3 night stay though being a free breakfast it was the same each day (which was fine with us). Location was excellent especially because this place is much cheaper than other accommodation in the area. Highly recommend room with a private terrace as that provided extra space to relax, eat and read during the day and night.

The air con was temperamental and made sleeping at night a bit difficult. Sometimes the fruit didn't taste very fresh.

The location was really good, I'm happy I chose Goyambokka among many other options in the Southern Coast. It's probably the best time I had, the beach has a good chilled vibe with plenty of food and drinks options, the nearby Silent Beach is also amazing. The resort itself left us with mixed feelings, but overall it did the job. Best bit is definitely the garden and the pool, feels like heaven. The monkeys paying visit every now and the were also a nice addition!

As other reviews expressed, breakfast options are limited, and staff don't look the happiest/friendliest. Bathrooms tend to get dirty and smell easily. A few power cuts during our stay.

This little place is a gem. Very pretty, well kept gardens and pool, with very clean rooms, comfy beds. The staff were lovely and Lal and his team went out of their way to look after after us. Dinner here is excellent and the chef makes everything fresh to order - the curries were delicious - we ate here 5 nights out of 7. The beautiful beach is within a two minute walk and we went most days, having lunch and beers at one of the shacks. This guest house offers extremely good value for money, we stayed in an upstairs villa - my husband was worried at first as there was no aircon but it wasn't a problem as the air flows through and we weren't hot at all. The balconies were huge and have lovely views over the gardens.

A fridge in the room would be nice, but it wasn't a problem as drinks in the bar were extremely cheap. The bedding, pillows etc were very clean but it could be upgraded to be more sumptuous and upmarket but then this place was so cheap that they might have to increase their prices too.
