The location is incredible right on a small cove and beach. The chalets are beautifully furnished to a high standard and clean. The food in the restaurant is freshly cooked, reasonably priced and delicious. It’s not everyday you can watch surfers mastering the waves while eating breakfast on a restaurant balcony. A mention to for the staff…..Friendly and helpful. The manager Indy in particular went out of his way to help us. If you want a busy resort with nightlife don’t come here . It’s so peaceful and quiet it’s almost a shame to tell others about it. We hope to return again one day and would highly recommend this hotel to others. But shhh keep it quiet 🤫.

Nothing. We came in the low season so expected some rain . However it was mainly sunny with a few showers in the morning.

Wonderful friendly staff who would help in any way they could . A yoga mat was quickly provided on request and surfboards available to hire. Loved the massages but expensive at US$40/ hour. Special thanks to Indi. We had a large two room family bungalow which was a great extravagance . Loved the coffee. We ate most of our meals at the hotel largely due to laziness. The Sri Lankan curries were the best. I would have liked a greater focus on fresh local food. I can’t understand why hamburgers, Thai curry and tacos are on the menu. In my opinion the menu could do with a rethink. What about say, a Sri Lankan specials night or fresh local fish once a week ? The facility and garden is well maintained and very clean. As it is small you are recognized and well cared for. The lovely little bay is as yet not over developed but surveyors pegs on the adjacent headland do not augur well. Go as soon as you can !

For us the continuous music from 7am to 10 pm was annoying . At times we had to escape to our room to avoid it. Limit the hours. Maybe evenings only and get rid of the ‘doof doof’ music !

This was some of the best accommodation we've ever stayed in. The attention to detail was spot on. The villa was so spacious, clean and comfortable, modern yet still charming in its use of natural and traditional materials. The pool area and gardens were perfectly designed to relax. The bar and restaurant served delicious food and the best espresso we've had in Sri Lanka. The breakfasts were substantial and beautifully presented with plenty of fresh fruits. The service was very welcoming and attentive. The views are unforgettable. Picture perfect. We even fell in love with the gorgeous doggo, June Bug (pictured). If you see her around she's eager to play, loves head pats and treats. She's vaccinated and being taken care of, so don't hesitate to give her some love. We'll definitely stay at Aga Surf View for a longer time on our next trip to Sri Lanka.

Massive well appointed & beautiful rooms, with patios and view of the beach. Great little hotel on a small beach cove. There are other businesses on the beach but it feels secluded. We swam a few times. It’s a surf beach too and offers lessons too. Pool was lovely. Cute place for breakfast and we sat upstairs for dinner. Food was delicious. Wine like everywhere else is low end but still drinkable. Wish Sri Lanka would allow at least one grade up for wines….

The way to the beach is a bit iffy but that’s like one meter…and it looks like they will build a better access.

This was one of our favourite hotels in Sri Lanka. The food was incredible and the best we had during our entire trip. An added bonus is their coffee as good coffee is rare in Sri Lanka. It was nice to be able to choose the included breakfast from a menu and have it made fresh rather than buffet like the other hotels we stayed in. Aga Surf only has a few apartments so staff remember you and are very friendly and accommodating. Located on the beach which is stunning and very quiet and only a few minutes walk to silent beach which is lovely too. We were very sad to leave this hotel and would recommend to anyone and everyone!

Loved everything! Our room was super clean, spacious with easy access to the pool, bar and beach, with a great balcony area to sit and relax too! This was our third place we stayed along the coast and the moment we arrived we wanted to extend our stay, so we will definitely be back on our next trip to Sri Lanka. The beach area is just right with great surf and not busy, which we love! We hired surf boards for an hour, but you can have them for the day too if you wish. Breakfast was fab overlooking the sea and surf and the owner/manager took his time to chat with us and was very attentive with all his guests which was lovely to see and shows he really cares. Genuinely can’t wait to visit again, which I don’t say that often about a place, but we just didn’t spend enough time here. Do not hesitate and book this place. You will not be disappointed

It was great accommodation with the kindest staff we met during our Sri lanka journey, also the room was clean, each day we got new bath and pool towels that smelled really fresh, breakfast was fantastic as well with good tea and sea view from restaurant terrace, there you can feel that staff cares about important details

Due to higher price and experience from another hotel I have expected better beach quality with some sun beds, umbrellas etc, nevertheless we had a scooter to reach Silent beach in 2 minutes, that is marvellous beach with free sun beds from local restaurant so it was not a problem

I highly recommend this hotel. Despite minor areas for improvement, the overall quality, outstanding service, and unique experience made our stay unforgettable. Beach Access: While the beach itself is lovely, the access from the hotel and the surrounding area could use some minor adjustments. A simple, low-cost improvement could elevate the quality and experience significantly

Actually we liked everything! Since we arrived we had the feeling we arrived at home, it s so cozy! great staff, great location, the room was huge and very clean, breakfast and dinner were amazing! It s one of the best hotels we ve ever stayed and we highly recommend it! 5 minutes walk to Silent beach and another 5 minutes to goyambooka beach with tuk tuk! The hotel even arrange the hotel transfer for us! So well done! All the staff were always smiling and willing to help! In the night was silent, we had our best sleep, the music there was so relaxing and with the view just wow! Thank you so much Aga Surf, we are so grateful for everything and can t thank you enough for your warm welcome! <3

Amazing location, great restaurant staff and very spacious rooms

A bit more attention from the property manager would be great, the day we arrived we were left at a table and our stuff was taken without anyone telling us where, or giving us a key, or showing us around. I had to ask someone where our suitcases where, which bungalow was ours, where to go etc. I get the surfing vibes but if you operate bungalows like a hotel there needs to be a minimum of attention on that part.
