The rooms, location, food, staff. Everything. The kids club was fantastic! Big shout out to our butler Anthony and all the amazing staff at the Restaraunt and guest services. We felt like family. They went over and above for us!

Everything at the hotel was overpriced - food, wine, babysitting services. This was a common complaint amoungst the guests. It meant that we felt we need led to eat out and do things outside of the hotel to avoid being ripped off.

The hotel is stunning; the moment you step inside, it's a "wow" experience. Everything is beautifully decorated and seamlessly blends with the local culture. Surrounded by lush greenery, the property exudes positive energy. Our private room host, Thisari, was incredibly kind and attentive to all our needs. There are numerous complimentary activities available. We enjoyed a guided nature walk and a boat ride on the lagoon, both great experiences. Additionally, there are various other activities to diversify your stay without ever leaving the hotel. All staff was very kind and always with a smile. While at the beach, we met Sri, a travel agent who helped arrange our transportation to the next hotel. I highly recommend his services; everything went smoothly, and it was more affordable than we had anticipated.

The spa's prices are excessively high. Despite the presence of lifeguards, the sea was choppy during our stay, so it's important to be vigilant while enjoying the beach.

Unfortunately too many kids and families not respecting the pool rules so not a good environment to use the pool during our stay and the ocean almost as rough as the water in the pool.

Beautiful setting, comfortable rooms and amazing staff.

The food and restaurants are not up to usual Anantara standards. Whilst the breakfast was good with a huge selection of food and freshly cooked eggs the rest was an over-priced disappointment. The evening buffet was the worst, warm and tepid food. And priced at approx 50 USD per person, I would give this 2 stars. The Asian restaurant wasn’t a lot better. I had fish cakes to start that were flat, solid and bland, tasted like they were frozen. The pork curry was tough and poor meat. On the upside was the salmon sushi which was perfect. Again very expensive for what it was. The Italian restaurant wasn’t the best, we would rate 4 / 5. Our criticism is only of the food, all the staff were great.

Very nice property with all the facilities you need. Very nice food in both the Italian restaurant and their Asian fusion outlet. Staff is super attentive. The bars are also inviting. The roof deck bar at the Italian bar serves splendid signature cocktails. Tropical Surf Team organizes guided surf trips by Tuk Tuk. Spa treatments are given by Balinese experts. And in the evening you can play a game on their pool billiard. Gym is modern and well equipped.

Anantara Peace Haven should organize a guest test panel to let them choose better background music in their restaurants and bars. Today really old fashioned. Their modern bar should play Buddha Bar / Cafe del Mar style music or better let a DJ perform in stead of the saxophone player playing old fashioned slow dance from 80s and 90s. Also their staff of the restaurants is well trained but their reception staff can be a bit more client friendly. Coffee cannot be served before 2pm in their reception area. Really not a flexible attitude. Reception manager fixed it herself but it took really long to get these coffees.

Every moment at this beautiful hotel was perfect. The setting is stunning, pure nature with the spectacular coastline. The food was delightful and all the free activities were just fantastic. However the very best thing was the staff. We both agreed it was probably the best service we had ever had from our room attendants with their brilliant towel art to our room assistant Kasthuri who helped us to book everything we needed, to the wonderful guys by the pool, the brilliant kitchen team who took us to markets to cook and then did a workshop for us, to the friendly “mama” who saw us walking and took us to her open air kitchen to show us around, to the spa staff, the wonderful man who did the tea workshop with us, Rashmi the nature expert. Everyone was just so warm, welcoming and perfect!

The hotel was beautiful and we had a wonderful stay. Amazing tradition welcome ceremony which made our entrance special and unique. We had a beautiful ocean view room. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable.

We have been to many hotels and buffets in Sri Lanka and the dinner buffet for 49$ which is way over double the prices in other 5 star hotels in Colombo and down South has no value for money. In fact, we had better selection and variety of food in other buffet for under 20 dollars. It’s way overpriced and I expected better for a buffet with European prices. I believe the hotel management is taking advantage of lack of restaurants around to jack up the prices. This would be the reason for us to not visit this location again. Made us regret going here instead of Shangri-La Hambantota

Our stay at this hotel was truly extraordinary! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, demonstrating exceptional friendliness and attention to detail. We were a group of 16, and every single one of us thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The rooms were comfortable and well-maintained, and the atmosphere throughout the property was warm and inviting. The restaurants were absolutely amazing, offering incredible food and a great dining experience that exceeded our expectations. Overall, it was a memorable stay, and we can't wait to come back!

Anantara Peace Haven Hotel truly lives up to its name—it’s a little slice of paradise. I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough. We stayed for five nights, and while it is pricier than some other options we considered, it was absolutely worth every penny. The service was exceptionally friendly and professional, with an attention to detail unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. The breakfast buffet was the best I’ve ever had, and the two on-site a la carte restaurants served outstanding food with impeccable service. A special shout-out to Kavi, who took such great care of us during our stay, and to Jeewa for making sure we always had drinks and snacks on an evening. They truly made our experience even more memorable. If you’re considering booking a stay here, don’t hesitate—you won’t be disappointed!

The spa I thought was very expensive for the treatments offered.

Beautiful hotel, it has so much you can do as part of your stay so I was gutted we got their late in the afternoon. You are allocated a personal assistant who is on call with whatever you need which is a lovely touch. The food was delicious, breakfast was great! my friend couldn’t get enough of the crab curry in the Asian restaurant, though the desserts needs changing a bit. The products (cream, soap shampoo etc.) were one of the nicest I’ve used in a 5* hotel. The staff were great! I love the little touches they add when you arrive and Farwell ceremony.

It might have been because of the humidity but the beds were damp, we did ask for them to change the sheets which they did. The Bathroom smelt of sewage in the morning, not sure if it was because of the rain but not great!
