Excellent location for my medical appointment. The suite was very well appointed with granite countertops and solid wood dining set etc.. every amenity needed to cook and a wide variety of restaurants for takeout and fridge/freezer storage. Openable windows for fresh air

There was a fuel smell coming through ventilation system and this could not be turned off - having access to several openable windows solved that issue- I am ultra sensitive to this smell and get a headache immediately. The blow dryer is very poor- barely any air pressure- bring your own if you want to dry your hair in a reasonable timeframe!

Central location of the hotel and the shopping outlet close by the hotel. The kitchen has all the basics to prepare your meal. General cleanliness of the room cannot also be overlooked on arrival. Despite our late arrival, our revered suit was still waiting.

The cracked window glass at the reception should be changed irrespective of what caused the crack. The elevator has to be maintained. The general ambiance can also be improved to make the hotel more welcoming. A nice air freshener can also be kept at strategic locations to make the air around more refreshing.

We really, really loved this hotel! The suite was massive — huge living space, a giant TV, and a full-sized kitchen that had everything we needed. It was also incredibly clean, which made our stay feel even more comfortable. The location couldn’t be better — it’s in a great area that’s easily walkable to everywhere we wanted to go. Plus, it’s right next to a plaza with a grocery store, food options, and a liquor store, which made everything super convenient. Free parking was a great bonus, too. Honestly, we had a fantastic trip and would definitely stay here again!

Don't be deceived by the exterior appearance of this hotel. It doesn't look impressive from the outside, but the suite I stayed in was excellent and the staff were really helpful. It was the best of two worlds - a spacious self-catering suite with fully equipped kitchen, living/dining room, bedroom, bathroom, laundry, but also, unlike most airbnb-type accommodation, at Canterra Suites there are reception staff who are happy to help with information and arrangements. Shirley and Sharon were both lovely. And you can have room-cleaning service if you want it.

No negatives.

It was the perfect place to stay for a family! We had 2 king beds in 2 separate rooms, plus 2 full baths. The kitchen was just what we needed for breakfasts, fridge, kettle, microwave, toaster and dishwasher. Didn’t use the stove but it had one. It also had laundry which we used twice! Especially after the water park at WEM. It was spacious and clean and comfortable! It was perfect for our concert weekend getaway! Close to groceries, restaurants and the LRT station to Commonwealth Stadium.

The A/C took a long time to cool and was only in the main room, but there were ceiling fans in the bedrooms and portable fans in the closets, which helped. It was a minor quibble, it eventually cooled off to our liking.

Exceptional value for the money! Booked a two bedroom unit with two bathrooms and a full kitchen for the same cost of a standard room at other properties. The staff were all very friendly and helpful! The room was very clean and conformable.

The rooms are recently renovated and the common areas are in good shape but the elevators appear to be from the 1960's and while clean and in good operating condition were incredibly slow. The indoor parking are was cramped and a challenge to navigate due to the large number of columns.

It’s been a long time since I have been this impressed by a boutique-type hotel. Modern, spacious, well-appointed, super friendly staff, very clean. And the location is fabulous, conveniently located near restaurants and shops- I could go on!

I have only one small gripe and that is the elevators. They are old, they shudder and take a long time for the doors to open (once it took just under a minute). If you dislike elevators, it can be a bit disconcerting.

Loved the friendly hotel staff! Loved the very spacious two bedroom suite. Loved the bed ! So comfortable! Loved the location!

It wasn’t a dislike , it was more about having a few more kitchen necessities or just listing what is not supplied. Paper towel, coffee filters, scrub brush, tongs, tin foil I would have brought it with us. There was really nothing that we had to complain about at all.

The room was huge! It was a one bedroom apartment size. Room was quite clean. The location was in downtown, so it was convenient to walk around without vehicle.

There were free outdoor parking with limited indoor parking for $20 per night. The lift felt dated and it made big noises whenever it opened or closed the door. There were not view from the room, but looking at the opposite unit’s windows.

The suite itself is large and clean but has a somewhat dated look and feel. The bed was large and comfortable. The suite included an office with desk that would probably suit someone for a longer term working stay.

The public areas, notably the reception and elevators, are less than inviting and could use some work. We arrived too late to get onsite secured parking and had to park nearby in an unsecured surface lot. Nothing untoward happened but I was uncomfortable with the parking location.
