Gorgeous room, wonderful pool, and lovely terrace with a view of the port. Breakfast was nice and the staff were very kind.

Perhaps we should have done a bit more research about getting to the hotel because our transport from the airport struggled to find its way up. The hotel is in a pedestrian area, just a minutes walk from the nearest road. Perhaps little inconvenient for less capable guests, but it wasn’t an issue for us! Just some clearer instructions about getting to the hotel upon booking would be ideal. Again, not a deal breaker whatsoever, just a heads up for anyone who might struggle with carrying luggage to the hotel.

Very beautiful hotel and has an even better garden and courtyard. Every inch of the hotel is beautiful to look at and is very clean. Only issue was everytime the toilet was used, a very unpleasant smell radiated from vents into the bedroom and outside to the hallway and ac in room did nit work properly

Breakfast variety could be improved and ac issue shpuld be fixed along with the sewage/ drain that was causing bad smell. Also a longer shower curtain shpuld be provided to stop so much water falling out when having a shower

The most special place in the gorgeous location of Sidi Bou Said. The staff, especially Ibrahim who made sure all our needs were met especially during breakfast time and went out of his way during our stay. Also giving us a later check out enabled us to reach the airport fresh and stress free. The views are exquisite and each room is tastefully decorated in an individual way with attention to small details. Loved everything about this place! Thank you so much!

A very small thing but the basin in the bathroom was at a very strange angle and quite far back so when using meant water splashed everywhere, but this is a very small thing.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, the guesthouse was beautifully restored and the rooms were comfortable. Loved the central location, right in the middle of the bustling medina and the view from the terrace was stunning. Breakfast was delicious

The air conditioners didn’t work. The shuttered windows overlooking the central courtyard were kept open for ventilation so rooms not sound proof. 2 staircases from the street to your room, so be prepared if you have health issues.

Lovely property with fabulous gardens and a nice pool. Well situated at the top of the town with plenty of restaurants in walking distance The staff were all very friendly and helpful and we had a great week. Highly recommend.

Breakfast was ok but would have preferred more fruit/yogurt options rather than the salads which were more suited to lunch. But that’s just a personal preference!

We had wonderful time at this stunning hotel. The location could not have been better -- right in the middle of Sidi Bou Said with everything in walking distance. We visited during Ramadan, so things were relatively quiet. The hotel staff (and especially Sofien!) and owner were very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was wonderful - a wide range of options. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and were sad to leave! We'll certainly be back again.

I came back to Sidi Bou Said because I wanted to stay at Dar Said. It is an enchanting place with a magnificent location overlooking the bay of Tunis and it feels like being in a luxurious private home where every detail is taken care of fondly and adapted to the place. The furnishings are simply perfect. The gardens are delightful and incredibly peaceful. We will come back!

Apart from the fact that the wifi is practically inexistant (which adds to its charm) nothing!

Dar Said is a very nice boutique hotel situated in a historical building in the very heart of Sidi Bou Said. The interior has a very authentic feeling, the rooms are cosy and equipped with very powerful heating (we visited in Jan), and breakfast offered quality food served by very gentle staff. Outside there's a picturesque garden with tangerine tree and a nice view to the sea. Parking is not as bad as some comments here imply - nothing hard for a decent driver and way more convenient than what you would get in similar places in European old towns. Overall, a very positive experience - that's why we returned to it at the very end of our trip.

The internet had tendency to be occasionally down in the mornings and it doesn't work at all in the bathrooms (which may be a plus ;) ). If your noise-sensitive, beware that this is an old building with old-fashioned wooden doors which don't perfectly isolate sounds coming from the courtyard. Although parking is not as inconvenient as some comments say, keep in mind that it is not administered by the hotel, what means that they don't take responsibility if something happens to your car. In my case, someone broke a rear light in my rental car. It turned out that it was an honest man who left his phone number and everything was fixed without additional costs for me, but you may not necessarily be as lucky as I was.

The room was perfect for our needs. The breakfast was good and there was plenty of choice. The staff were very good and attentive, excellent service. The location in the heart of the village was perfect and the view from the gardens was five star.

The hotel is a traditional building on a hill side so you a bound to come across steps. Just bare this in mind!

Beautiful hotel in a fabulous location. Nice to enjoy the area after all the daytrippers left. Room was spacious and clean. Front desk staff extremely helpful. Massages were lovely and reasonably priced.

Shower was not contained and spread water everywhere. Breakfast was tasty but service was poor, often no one around to clear plates and replenish coffee etc.
