This is an older Place with a lot of character and charm the lady running it (Leanne I think her name is) was so nice and helpful she made our stay enjoyable so much that on our way back from our trip around we stayed there again. The place is nice and clean the rooms are spacious everything was great. I would definitely stay here again and would definitely recommend this place to anyone. It's a very nice place with super friendly and helpful staff.

On our first stay there was only one bedside table so nowhere to put your stuff. minor detail. only one place to put your luggage and nowhere to hang your clothes again minor detail. on our second stay we had a room with 2 bedside tables which made things a bit easier again minor detail.

It is a beautiful property. We booked out the house for a family wedding weekend. It suited so well. Lots of space, and the ability to be self contained with a large kitchen, dining, and fabulous outdoor area. The host was so accommodating. Nothing was too much. I would absolutely recommend.

We absolutely loved Valmai House! It’s a beautiful old Vila that has been renovated but still has all of its beautiful character. The place was warm and the rooms were lovely. We had ensuites on our rooms but it wouldn’t have mattered if we didn’t as the shared bathroom was fine too. We got up to watch the rugby with other guests in the shared lounge and enjoyed it. The owner was lovely and made us feel so welcome.

Location, wanted a quiet place to have a break away from the hustle and bustle of the town, but at the same time close to CBD with Access to food and other facilities.

Just the shower, too small as I am used to slightly bigger one. But not a big deal. ☺️

The room was extremely spacious and comfortable. I had to work throughout the weekend and the host let me have access to the board room style dining room and lounge. The wifi speed was excellent and there were tea and coffee stations in the kitchen

The host was super friendly and helpful despite a very late check in. Spatious rooms, comfortable beds. There was some noise coming from the cars passing nearby, but as soon as we went to bed, this became less and we were certainly not awoken by it.

Beautiful, historical NZ property, immaculately presented. Wonderful owner. The property is beautiful already, however they are further restoring it and the rooms that have been restored are so beautifully and tastefully done - preserving all the original features of the house. Easily the best value and stylish property to stay at when I was researching where to stay in Cambridge. Perfect for an overnight stay after visiting Hobitton - could have easily stayed longer. Thank you!

These are really minor points - but some hooks in the bathroom and reading lights by the beds would be great.

the ensuite shower had a curtain and wetroom type floor and the water goes absolutely everywhere. TBH if I booked again I'd go for the shared bathroom instead.

Rubbish bins needed to be emptied every day since you didn’t have access to there big bins and recycling.As we stayed 4 nights a broom and half broom and shovel would of been good as being winter dirt and leaves would come in.
