There is a lot to like when staying here (for 5 days like I did). Dillen is awesome and so friendly. It's close to a lot of things within walking distance, supermarket 3 mins away, service station 1 min away, pizza 2 mins away. Main road is nearby but you don't hear the traffic noise (I tired listening and I couldn't hear it). You are a couple of minutes drive from anything else you might need. The room is modern. It has lots of extra pillows and blankets if you need it. The room is spacious. The shower is awesome, its big and powerful and doesn't have a stupid door that opens and moved the mat when you get out. Kitchen facilities have everything you need. There is a heat pump and when I stayed it was hot weather so it was nice to have it cool me down. Plenty of parking and wide parks, in fact they accommodated a very large racing boat. Wifi is faster than you need, 28Mbps download and 11Mbps upload. The other reviews are great and I can see why

Too close and too easy to go and get junk food from the service station but that is a me thing

I liked how staff at reception were very generous roomm was fairly clean.

The spa bath needs to be cleaned properly, the jets had others pubic hair still in it so we had to run the bath 3x to clean it before using it even then we ended up showering off after using. Also after getting told from locals that the motels are used alott from people smoking P we were very weary due to having a baby with us. So it didn’t help when we arrived police were at the property trying to remove others.

Very friendly and helpful staff at reception. Let me check out an hour later at 11am with no additional cost. Large room. Lovely bathroom and kitchen. Very comfortable king sized bed. Perfectly clean. Parking right outside the door was a bonus. Lots of free parking as well. Best motel I've stayed at. Was going to book it again for a trip later this year but they are already fully booked

The compact well designed layout of space enabled me to move effortlessly in the room. Bed near dinning room table and kitchen sink. The main kitchen supplies available for use (stove, microwave, jug, toaster, mini fridge), was really helpful for my overnight stay.

The only thing I should have stated was if available getting a ground room. I will ensure to ask for that next time I return to Hamilton. I really enjoyed the convenience of being able to shop in my area.

Hotel was beautiful, clean and tidy. Our room had everything we needed, hair dryer, towels, toaster, jug, hot plate, pans, pots. It was definitely worth the money spent whilst we stayed in Hamilton.

The bed was quite small (we are used to King beds) and it was quite very hard. A mattress topper would have made all the difference and comfort.

I had a cancelled flight out of Christchurch with a booking already in place for Arena, they were gracious enough to hold the room for the day I actually arrived and had the room ready and i experienced no issues with the very late check in and being a day late. Staff at Arena are warm and welcoming even with delays, I recommend.

Nothing from my end, being late due to unforeseen circumstances they did all they could.

We booked 2 rooms as we were travelling with kids. They were able to give us 2 rooms next to each other which was perfect. Great sized rooms with a double (or maybe queen bed) and single in each room. The bigger bed felt quite small and was a bit saggy. Maybe because we are used to a king sized bed. Good sized bathroom with shower and spa bath (although we didn't use the bath). We stayed 2 nights and didn't need the cleaner to come in and make the beds or change the towels afterthe first night but no Do Not Disturb sign. I guess we could have told them but didn't expect that to happen for a 2 night stay in a motel.

No facecloths, even when they changed the towels. When you turned the shower on the nozzle moved with the increase in pressure and sprayed out the door.

I wasn't aware that I had to pay a $100 bond up on arrival. It would have been good if I knew this when I booked the room and when I paid for it. I thought this was rude and put me off 🤦🏽‍♀️

Nice, warm, tidy, quiet for being close to town. Not emergency housing. Safe parking both in the complex and on the street. The staff member who checked me in was efficient. Explained the bond situation well and quick check-out dropping the key in the box and receiving my bond refund within hours.

It was raining and no where dry to vape.

Friendly professional staff, super clean and well stocked with all essentials - linens, towels, soap/ shampoo, hairdryer, kitchen utensils. Great space could easily fit three adults. Free parking so close to the room is not always a given, so it's lovely to have as in this place.

Nothing to add here. Will stay again.
