Our stay at Hygate Motor Lodge was wonderful and exactly what we required We had to find accommodation at short notice as we came over from Auz for a family funeral, it was a really difficult & expensive time, and the Hygate was so accommodating with our needs We even booked a 2nd night and got a late checkout The family room had 5 beds, which was perfect for us all, 2 toilets & great to have a small kitchen with an oven & fridge The staff was lovely We would definitely book again next time we are over from Auz

The small toilet & bathroom could have been a little cleaner, but rest of the rooms were lovely & clean Really didn't enjoy the shower experience tho, it didn't matter how careful you were as there was no door on the shower the water would go everywhere in the bathroom. However, the pressure and heat were great

Room was exceptionally larger than expected. Beds were warm. Staff were friendly. If we are ever in the area again we would definitely book again!

The shower didnt have a door and is situated next to the toilet so the toilet got drenched in water and the towel rack was on the opposite end of the bathroom compared to the shower so either your towel got wet if you sat it on top of the toilet or you drip all over the bathroom to get your towel.

Convenient central location for our activities.

Room was cold on arrival, knowing what time we were coming the heat pump could have been turned on before we got there. Lack of extra blankets and pillows in the unit and only being available on request during certain hours. Having to pay extra bond on arrival that was refunded on leaving... this was not expected or explained when booking, never had to do this anywhere else before.

It was a beautiful room plenty of space for myself partner and 3 kids very clean comfortable beds best shower and I even cooked breakfast in the morning and had everything there to do it but most of all the price was awesome,

Maybe I didn't read fine print so it may have been my own fault but I didn't realize till I got there I had to pay a bond of $200 which was fine but yea just a heads up to others incase you didn't see it also

The rooms and bathroom were clean. We were happy with our accomodation.

We had problems with the hot water system but they got onto maintenance straight away and it was fixed. It happened 2 days in a row though. They offered us another room just to shower in if the water wasnt fixed so happy with the service provided. It would be good if they had more pillows as one each wasnt enough really.

It was nice and clean and quiet.

Only thing l didn’t like was the shower did not have a shower door so the water splashed on the floor some onto the toilet and it made the floor very slippery so we had to put bigger towels down between toilet and the shower. That was the only downfall was shower had no door no soap otherwise everything was good.

The staff were friendly and welcoming, the room we stayed in was spacious clean and quite modern with a real at home feel, also because we stayed a couple of nights they did a service daily which was amazing would definitely stay here again when we next come to Hamilton :) great place and great value for money will absolutely be coming back.

No negatives whatsoever

Very spacious family unit, everything we needed. Two toilets is helpful for multiple people. It was very quiet and good location, close to amenities.

Only area for improvement would be a non slip mat in shower as floor gets quite slippery after showering. Also the design could be better to avoid the toilet getting wet when someone showers. TV size could be bit bigger given the size of the room and lamps in bedrooms be nice.

I didn't like that the house keeper inspecting on check out assumed 2 towles were missing. She tried to say that they put 4 in the bathroom, however, on our arrival there were two in the bathroom and two on the beds where there were 2 single beds. I had to physically point to them in the room before she believed me. Lucky though because we got our bond back.

Good location. Room was very spacious. Staff very friendly.

Last time I stayed there had a room with carpet. This time had a room with vinyl, which was cold & got dirty really quick ( prefer the carpet).
