Our stay at Hygate Motor Lodge was wonderful and exactly what we required We had to find accommodation at short notice as we came over from Auz for a family funeral, it was a really difficult & expensive time, and the Hygate was so accommodating with our needs We even booked a 2nd night and got a late checkout The family room had 5 beds, which was perfect for us all, 2 toilets & great to have a small kitchen with an oven & fridge The staff was lovely We would definitely book again next time we are over from Auz

The small toilet & bathroom could have been a little cleaner, but rest of the rooms were lovely & clean Really didn't enjoy the shower experience tho, it didn't matter how careful you were as there was no door on the shower the water would go everywhere in the bathroom. However, the pressure and heat were great

Room was exceptionally larger than expected. Beds were warm. Staff were friendly. If we are ever in the area again we would definitely book again!

The shower didnt have a door and is situated next to the toilet so the toilet got drenched in water and the towel rack was on the opposite end of the bathroom compared to the shower so either your towel got wet if you sat it on top of the toilet or you drip all over the bathroom to get your towel.

The staff were friendly and welcoming, the room we stayed in was spacious clean and quite modern with a real at home feel, also because we stayed a couple of nights they did a service daily which was amazing would definitely stay here again when we next come to Hamilton :) great place and great value for money will absolutely be coming back.

No negatives whatsoever

Very spacious family unit, everything we needed. Two toilets is helpful for multiple people. It was very quiet and good location, close to amenities.

Only area for improvement would be a non slip mat in shower as floor gets quite slippery after showering. Also the design could be better to avoid the toilet getting wet when someone showers. TV size could be bit bigger given the size of the room and lamps in bedrooms be nice.

I didn't like that the house keeper inspecting on check out assumed 2 towles were missing. She tried to say that they put 4 in the bathroom, however, on our arrival there were two in the bathroom and two on the beds where there were 2 single beds. I had to physically point to them in the room before she believed me. Lucky though because we got our bond back.

Good location. Room was very spacious. Staff very friendly.

Last time I stayed there had a room with carpet. This time had a room with vinyl, which was cold & got dirty really quick ( prefer the carpet).

Location is close to shops, spa bath was a win, shower great,room was clean and staff friendly, wifi and smart tv good

Quite noisy but then there was a big event on in Hamilton while we were there so probably due to that also wish there was a seating outdoor area in my room my sister got a little area outside hers which was great for fresh air

Lovely staff, clean and well located, great to have laundry facilities to do washing and loved the kitchenette in the room with everything you need to cook and eat with microwave and cooktop

The rooms are a little dated but no complaints for the price

The tiles in the bathroom are very slippery, even worse when wet, quite dangerous. Easy fix with a rubber floor mat of some kind. The room could benefit from a lamp of some sort aswell, only because the main light is over by the door and once you turn it off your completely in the dark.

Room was a great size - upgraded to a room with spa for free so that was a bonus.

The room only had a one key service. One of has trouble getting in after hours even despite showing the staff their driver’s license id on check in. However respect the security measures they had in place.
