The hotel is above a restaurant and in the historic center of Berat. 5 minutes walking from the bus stop. The receptionists are so friendly and helpful and they can do laundry service for you if you request it. They also have a dog at reception called Charlie. I liked when the nearby bridge was all lit up at night.

The A/C did not work well and we had to have staff look at it and “fix” it 4 times before it worked. The first room we had was unacceptable as tons of bugs had used it to hatch and mate. Their wings were everywhere on the bed and floor. Thankfully, staff were able to immediately grant us a free room upgrade and the rest of our stay was lovely. Google Maps was not entirely accurate about the location of the restaurant and there is no good signage. Ask around the bridge and the locals will help you find it.

We had a delightful stay at this cute accommodation situated along the river, surrounded by charming restaurants, bars, and cafes. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived until we checked out. Although we were there for just one night, the room was perfect for our family of four. The beds were comfy, and both the room and bathroom were very clean. The staff even assisted us with our heavy suitcases up to the third floor, which we greatly appreciated! Free parking is conveniently provided nearby, and everything in town is within walking distance. The breakfast and coffee included were a lovely treat to start our day. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend it!

This was a lovely place to stay in Berat — full of character with stone walls, timber ceilings, and a really welcoming atmosphere. The location is great for exploring the town, and we especially loved the upstairs terrace where you can have dinner with a beautiful view. The bed was comfortable, breakfast was good, and having free parking (just a short walk down the road) was a big plus.

It was a little tricky to find at first, especially by car — Google Street View hasn’t caught up with the newer developments, so we weren’t sure where to check in or park at first. That said, it's great to see this part of town growing and becoming more tourist-friendly. The room wasn't super soundproof, so we could hear some noise from the hallway, but it wasn’t an issue during our stay as it was generally quiet. Overall, a really nice and memorable stay in Berat with lots of charm.

This was one of the best hotel we stayed in and we have traveled around the world and stayed in many hotels..Beautiful features and a great family run hotel with great staff with a can do attitude and notting was a problem and very polite and helpful. It location is perfect for luggages you dont have to lumber up stoney hills to get to..like watching other families doing with luggages, the town is only 5 min walk. Their must have been hundred food restaurants around but every night we ate at the hotel next to a wooden fire as the boys loved the food, cooked by the mother of the owner, it was home cooked food like our mother cooking at home for us, really felt like home. I will be looking to vist this hotel again next summer and spend some time to visit the mountains as we was here for 3 nights this time. The rooms were so cosy and big perfect for 4 of us.. pictures just says it all.

The stay at Kapllani was excellent.one could probably not beat the location. We were renting a vehicle and access to the public parking (50 meters from the accommodation was convenient and leaving and returning was excellent. The hotel was spotless, it was loaded with character and above all, the staff were excellent. Klea was wonderful and assisted us in finding a winery to visit and a shoe repair as well. Her smile was worth the stay. I’d be remiss in not mentioning Klea’s Dad and Uncle as well as her cousin. We spent an evening exchanging stories and laughs even though we had to rely on Klea’s cousin for translation. We spent 6 great days in Berat and in our exploring, did not find a place that we would have preferred over Kapllani. Breakfasts were good and the traditional Albanian meals were great. Thanks Klea and staff. You made us feel at home in Albania.

Everything was great.

We had three different rooms and each was well equipped, two had a generous size. The bathrooms were modern and easily the best we had of anywhere in Albania. We had drinks on the terrace very late so the staff were highly accommodating. The breakfast was out of this world and included. They have a wide selection of teas. The location is perfect for accessing the Old Town without being in the crowded parts. The hotel also provides free parking 2 minute walk away.

The staff is so nice and helpful. Best team I've met so far on my trips to many different countries and places. We extended from 1 to 3 nights and they allowed us to keep the same room at last minutes notice. The location is just perfect, close to everything you may want to see. Room was great, breakfast too. The highlight of our trip to Albania.

It didn't bother me at all because I don't go to sleep early, but you can expect to hear music and people chatting outside until around 23:00. Then it just goes quiet.

Loved the fact this is a new family run gorgeous boutique hotel. It is located just outside of the main section of Berat old town. It’s the other side of the river near the first footbridge which enables the feel of a lord authentic vibe to prosper as well as being away from all the noise and tourist traffic! Beautiful hotel with lovely bathroom facilities

We loved everything!

Hotel Kapllani is an excellent and good value choice in Berat. The hotel is nicely decorated and has a lovely location right on the river. The balcony for an evening drink or meal is wonderful. However, it was the service that took this property to another level. Not only did Klea's husband give us a ride to the bus station first thing in the morning, but when we discovered that the direct bus to our next location had already left, he sped down the highway to catch up with the bus so that we could catch it outside of town. Amazing customer service that put us in a great mood for the rest of the day!

We changed hotel in the last minute, and we didnt regret it for a second. We arrived to Berat in the evening, in rain and thunderstorms and it was just soooo nice to arrive to this beautiful, cozy, warm place. The owner lady welcomed us with a free room upgrade. Although the restaurant was busy with guests we got a table and enjoyed a very nice dinner. There is also a nice cocktails bar next to the hotel, where we had a drink afterwards on the roofed terrace watching the last drops of the rain. Berat is fantastic city, we woke up the next day to sunshine, the hotel balcony has som incredible views of the city. The breakfast was very tasty, I personally loved the homemade fig jam. We would love to return.
