Amazing breakfast options and absolutely gorgeous hotel interiors, including the rooms. Concierge was fantastic and the location and views incredible. The hotel is divine.

The bartender was grouchy and not very friendly, and we were regulars in the bar. One night, when we were the last ones in the bar, he started banging cabinets so we would leave. I have never had that happen in a European 5 star hotel ever.

The Gritti Palace is an iconic hotel, the rooms are superb and the staff are exceptionally helpful. However, as a paying guest, it was disappointing that on three occasions we were not able to enjoy the terrace due to the large amount of non-residents that casually dine and drink at the hotel, this is unacceptable given the limited size of the terrace area. Why stay here and pay such high rates when no priority is given to residents? The hotel needs to address this.

The Gritti Palace is one of the ultimate luxury stays. It's location in a restored 15th century palazzo on the Grand Canal really is unparalleled. The rooms are gorgeously styled, like the rest of the hotel, comfortable and pure luxury. Service throughout the stay, from check-in to check-out was exceptional. Concierge was an excellent help in organising various experiences for us. We also made sure to take part in the Culinary School hosted at the hotel with one of head chefs - a brilliant experience in itself. The bar is beautiful and has a range of excellent and creative cocktails - my favourite is the Wild Fennel Martini! The restaurant was stunning at dinner and at breakfast. Fabulous all round, zero regrets.

Perfect stay - nothing to improve.

A royal magical palace from another age - the hotel is so beautiful, and well preserved. I love that you step in and feel like you are back in time. We got upgraded to a room with the canal view which was magical. The bed was the most comfortable bed of any luxury hotel I have ever stayed at. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the location of the hotel is perfect.

The bedroom was a bit smaller than expected but we did only spend a small amount of time In the room so it was not a problem.

Amazing hotel with so much history, beautiful. Good location, sadly only there for one night. The lady who welcomed us in the main restaurant was extremely helpful, friendly and very accommodating, wish I could have got her name. Thank you to her. Reception staff and concierge were also excellent, thanks to all.

My only criticism is that breakfast was a little chaotic and the service was not great. Also as lovely as the rooms are it was not very practical with the hairdryer and mirror in the bathroom.

Beautiful location on the Grand Canal, there is nothing better than having your breakfast and watching the world go by here. Stunning Venetian decor and overall friendly and attentive staff.

Concierge could have been friendlier...

Worth trying once, just to understand what’s a luxury stay in Venice. You’ll feel like a king. Pro tip: use the room service! Ice cream in the middle of the night is something else..

Expectations were high and concierge couldn’t hep with everything i wanted ( like tickets to opera). Also paying 55eur for a breakfast ( amazing breakfast!) when the room is 1200 is just lame :)

The staff at the Gritti Palace are incredible, accomodating, friendly, polite, they remember you from last time, not like you are just a number & believe me in Venice that is not a common thing!

The vegetarian club sandwich fell a little short of my last one, but given this time we stayed it was the beginning of Carnivale when Venice is drowning with tourists its a little to be expected.

Yes it was good we had a great time however I felt a bit disappointed towards the end they had completely messed up our hotel bill, we were over charged also for breakfast and was promised a promotion deal breakfast for the two mornings we were staying with them, after questioning this is was amended however I would double check your bill if staying with them! Maybe it is best to pay as you go for drinks and dinner because it just seemed very confusing and time consuming towards the end of our stay. However the hotel itself was lovely and the food and drink and rooms were amazing. Just be careful when paying your bill and double check charges.

The confusion with the amount charged towards the end was confusing and over charged us, also got another bill for somebody else’s room!

Superb location on the Grand Canal and just a few minutes walk to San Marco. The hotel is incredibly comfortable and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Service was impeccable. As we were celebrating our wedding anniversary during our stay, to our considerable surprise they delivered a beautiful cake to our room.
