The location was great. It was by a main road and about 2 minutes walk to Shimizu Station, passing by a mall with a number of local restaurants. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room and bathroom were bigger than we expected. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash bottles were provided in the bathroom, along with toothbrushes. Fresh towels and pajamas were placed outside our room door daily, even if we didn't ask for the room to be made up. Coupons for free water, tea or beer (choose one only) were also given daily along with the towels and pajamas. You exchange these coupons for your preferred drink at the front desk. There was a pants press, microwave, disposable cutlery, toothbrushes and razors in every floor, just outside the elevator. There were designated smoking rooms. Every 3-10PM was happy hour in the lobby and various drinks are available for free consumption by the guests, including local sake varieties, wine, tea, coffee or soda water.

Good location if you intend to visit Miho No Matsubara and/or take the Suruga Bay ferry from Shimizu port to Toi port on the Izu Peninsula - another great photograph opportunity for Mt. Fuji. An excellent business hotel amenities, free drinks (during the evening), and an adequate breakfast selection. The hotel is within 50 m to Shimizu train station with many options for meals. A highly recommended stop-over hotel.

A charge of 1000 Yen for parking and I could understand as space is prime in a 'city' location.

We struck gold with Hotel Quest Shimizu! This incredible hotel offers unbeatable value for its very reasonable price. But what truly made our stay shine was the exceptional service from the front desk superstar, Mr. Takeda-San (武田)! He went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, patiently using Google Translate to communicate with us and even recommending an amazing onsen (hot spring) just a short 15-minute drive away. The parking was a breeze at just ¥1000 per day, and our room was surprisingly spacious by Japan's standards! But the pièce de résistance was the complimentary alcohol available for guests in the lobby - talk about generosity! We can't thank Mr. Takeda-San and the Hotel Quest Shimizu team enough for their warm hospitality. We'll definitely be back again in the future!

Extremely pleased with the stay. Was in the same vicinity in Oct 2023 and stayed at a nearby business hotel. Comparing it with this experience, Hotel Quest Shimizu was definitely way better: Complimentary night drinks were awesome. Room size was spacious. Beds were comfortable. Rooms were well lit. Staff could communicate with perfect English. Parking slots were available. Amenities were great.

One of the rooms were a little musty when we first entered, but the smell went away after switching on the air filter.

I'm so satisfied with the location, it‘s nearby the shimizu station(5 minutes by walking). And it's very close to the しみずこう，the place to enjoy seafood, just 10min by walking. The reception is very nice and full of passion, help me to deposit the luggage. The room is very clean, although it's a bit small but enough to sleep. I love the breakfast, very traditional Japanese food. I recommend this hotel because of its high performance-price ratio.

the hotel truly exceeded all my expectations. It is impeccably clean, and the staff are incredibly friendly and always ready to assist. The bed was comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The ambiance is quiet, providing a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle. The hotel offers a wide range of services, further enhancing the overall experience. It’s rare to find such a wonderful hotel at such a reasonable price.

I liked everything, from the location, comfortable beds, smooth check-in, extra amenities for grooming in the hotel lobby, the nice staff at the reception desk, free drinks to welcome guests checking-in from 3 pm onwards, and the cleanliness. Modern rooms and bathroom facilities are as advertised. I especially liked the modern toilet facility! The room was spacious for a single room compared to other business hotels I stayed in. I only stayed for one night, but I wish I stayed longer. The hotel gave all the information I needed for a smooth check-in and access from the JR station. I didn't have difficulty finding it. I will definitely recommend and use this hotel if I got the chance in the future. The hotel deserves the nice reviews by previous guests.

Very organized and cozy hotel, with nice furniture and decoration. Welcome drinks were also a nice surprise, as well as the amenities.

The shower area was a bit too narrow in comparison to other hotels we stayed in Japan, so the curtain kept getting in the way apart from being a bit too low to comfortably shower if you're over 170cm tall. Also there was no overhead shower so I had to aim carefully not to accidentally spill water over the curtain. The coin laundry was a bit dated too.

the hotel was around the corner from the train station so easy to get to. They provide a free welcome drink and room supplies that you can help yourself to e.g. toothbrush, bath salts, mouthwash. They also provided new towels and pyjamas e very day. I also loved that the window in the room opened so we could get fresh air.
