An accommodation with history. Nadia was our host. Her love for this beautiful place is beaming like sun rays and sparkles all around. She makes you feel like home. Just like the milk,oil, coffee, coockies etc did when we arrived. The apartment was more like a little house with two sleeping rooms with beds in which we slept really good. There was airconditioning which helped us survive the heat. A dishwasher which made our daughters extra happy and a washing machine so we went home without cubes of dirty wash. It was nice and quiet and had a big living as well. The swimming pool is big enough for 10 people and probably even more. Although all the apartments were rented, it was quiet. You are in Rome just like that by car and thanks to google you can easily find parking garages near places you want to visit. The metro didn’t go because of maintenance so be sure to check they before buying multi days tickets. In August de Pizzaria, Gelateria, trattoria near Cadtello were closed.

We really liked how quiet it was. After spending a whole day in the centre of Rome, it was really nice to come back to somewhere that was quiet and relaxing. The property was so lovely and the views were incredible, we would definitely stay again. The lady that runs the place is also very lovely and even when we had a problem with our TV, she fixed it asap which we appreciated massively.

We checked in on a Sunday so the check-in process was a little bit difficult and we didn't know who to talk to, but I'm sure if we had checked in during the week then we would not have had a problem.

The room was spacious, bed was comfortable and the views were good. Smart TV so Netflix, etc. Available.

Bathrooms tiny and no water pressure so showers were not easy, Toilet was difficult to flush. Very little in the way of cooking supplies - no alfoil or cling wrap, no stirring spoons. Bags had to be carried down a short bit of road and up a steep slope, no problem for us but would be a huge issue for some. The curtains were nearly impossible to close as they used curtain rings too small. Takes at least one regional train and one metro train to get into Rome so allow an hour travel, buy a 24hr or 48hr ticket or whatever period suits you.

Wow wow wow This place made our stay in Rome. From the beginning we were met at the security gates, given time at reception and given the oldest room in the castle which was very beautiful and spacious. The rooms was decked out with beautiful furniture and decor. The beds were so comfy and luxurious. There was a kitchen which we could cook and a supermarket close by The easy access to Rome was great with only a short work to the station. To spend a busy day in Rome and come back to our castle on the hill made us feel like kings and queens of Rome. We spent an hour wondering the grounds and the olive trees which was relaxing too. This accommodation is a MUST and we recommend this place to anyone who wants luxury and tranquility within Rome. Thanks for the stay it was wonderful

The location is absolutely breathtaking. The view from the hill is second to none. The rooms are sizeable and comfy. And Joseph is simply brilliant - quick to respond to emails / WhatsApp, he arranged some shopping ahead of our arrival and he did everything he could to help us after the check-out.

We were off to Napoli when the trainsystem shut down. So we decided to stay another night in Rome, away from the hustle and bustle, and we are so glad we did ! Stunning grounds, amazing service! Full kitchen, there’s no food on the grounds so we went to the grocery store prior. The air is so fresh, the views are stunning, the pool is very clean. Everything was beautiful, unfortunately we didn’t have very nice weather!

Would’ve loved a private terrace, but there is a lot of gorgeous outdoor space to explore !

The property is amazing! The views are breathtaking, and you can find peace there just by gazing at the gardens, olive trees, or the beautiful sunset from the pool area.

The place was just beyond awesome! Would love to visit it 10 more times. Fits well only if you arrive by car. Stayed in Barone room and it was exceptional. The pool, the garden and all the facilities. The owners are taking care of the place on the highest level of quality. We enjoyed the place for 100% as we stayed for 6 days in total. We even had a room cleaning in the middle. During my travel years I have never seen such a taken-care-of place in Italy.

The only thing that I was missing was a little more kitchen equipment. As it's far away from some nice dining or breakfast places, we were cooking quite a lot. Missed some bowls, forks, spoons and wine glasses. Didn't want to use dishwasher after every small meal, but were forced to because of missing utensils. Asked Joseph for some missing things and he got them in the end so everything was solved.

We flew into Rome Fiumicino airport and caught a train to Settebagni the Castello del Duce is 500m from the station but they came to collect us. We had access to our room earlier than expected. Everything was done to ensure our comfort and enjoyment. The property is surrounded by fabulous countryside and is 15-20 mins outside Rome. We will return.

No tea towel to dry dishes/glasses - our fault as we never asked for them either as we only needed it late in the evening.
