The rooms were nice and the surroundings peaceful. The bed and the pillows were very comfortable. The food was superb!!! As was the staff; they made extra sure not to expose my husband to allergens that he would’ve been exposed to in a house made salad dressing. Wow!

There was a piece of rubbish left behind in the room. The jets on the spa were too low down to use them on my back! And the spa could really only fit one person at a time.

Most amazing coffee I have had in the morning with a lovely fresh hearty breakfast. Nicely styled and comfortable rooms. The pub and all furnishings/decor were lovely and really added to the overall atmosphere

Some aspects a little older and need of updates, reception not being available - having to go into the pub, was a septic smell in the evening near the rooms. Shower hand held piece that was difficult to use over bath, unsure of how this would be best rectified as spa bath was great to have

I liked that the food was available on site for breakfast dinner and tea etc. The outlook from the room was pleasant (not a car park) They were very helpful in that we came into the room early so we could dress for the wedding at the nearby winery. At no extra cost. Wish I'd had time to see the donkeys and other animals.

Maybe summer a fan would be good.

Had a great time with my 3 year old who loved the animals and spa bath. Comfy bed and very cosy inside. Lots of space to go for a walk and see the old style farming equipment. Great photo ops

A microwave would've been handy. Pod coffee machine was great but had no way to add hot milk to coffee shot. An exhaust fan for the bathroom would help as there was condensation even with the window open to let out hot air. We would still return though as we had a great time :)

Lovely cottage style Room, pub has a great old english feel to it with fireplace in the dining room. Very convenient place to stay for couples on a romantic getaway. Younger staff absolutely fantastic and manager brilliant.

Food overpriced for what is being served. $39 for main meals, First night's meals, amazing! Next night's terrible. Consistency questionable considering we inquired if it was the same chef cooking both nights

Had our two year old who enjoyed visiting the animals a couple of times. The grounds are very relaxing and enjoyable, especially if you've come from the city. Food was also good. The small spa bath in the room was relaxing and enjoyable too.

Nothing comes to mind really. Everything was good. I guess hotels have become crazy expensive lately and this was a more than double what it cost to stay there previously. That's inflation.

It was nice to feel away from everything. The rooms were nice and clean. Nice atmosphere.

Might need another family room, a better play area for the kids, a microwave or toaster would’ve also been great. These points are just for feedback and not as a complaint. Overall, we were happy with our stay and would definitely be happy to come back again.

Wonderful British waiter Spencer at the restaurant. Attentive, friendly and great service.

Saturday afternoon, senior staff member denied they stocked Oyster Bay wine (even though we had one the night before with dinner). She went to bottle shop & bought back 2 varieties of Marlborough NZ wine then spoke in a condensing manner to other staff members about how to run through till (could have waited till no one was in bar). We watched Sarah Grant singing in the entertainment area then went inside to have dinner. One of my friends went to bar to buy wine to have with dinner & returns with a bottle of Oyster Bay. Just want to say the previous $40 bottle was disgusting, yellow and a total rip off. Thank you for ruining what could have been a pleasant afternoon

The setting, the friendliness of the staff and nothing was a problem

The quality of the food was just OK, I think it would be exceptional with more fresh food, just had the feeling a lot of the components were pre prepared and then heated up . Having said that, everything was edible, just could be better :)

Clean, warm and beautiful surroundings

The only real thing was they had a non slip thing in the shower and the water didn’t go down properly so the bathroom flooded. It was annoying because you couldn’t enjoy your shower and had to put towels down to stop the flooding
