The staff were exceptional. We had an onward issue that needed to be dealt with, and despite the language barrier (our fault), the staff went out of their way to help us and resolve the situation. I only gave a small smile for the location as for our needs we would have preferred to be nearer Poitiers, however in our free time we found the hotel in the perfect location for anyone staying in this actual town.

The decor wasn’t on point, but so what - everything worked well, which is what really matters. Also the chocolate mousse, whilst tasty, wasn’t particularly chocolatey.

Have stayed here a number of time previously but when staying last time noted that restaurant prices had soared and selection and quality declined so now only eat in brasserie.

Great location in a charming village, and the restaurant was very nice. Excellent value for the money.

The bathroom was a little rundown looking, and the breakfast was disappointing overall (although the croissants were good and the baguette excellent).

classic French restaurant with hotel in centre of small town. friendly staff. reasonable priced. very clean.

bed comfort was below average. fairly hard matrassen that were short in length. not suitable for people above 190 cm. the hotel is situated at the corner of a small throughway street. as a result the cars trucks and tractors passing at fairly high speed makes between the walls of the houses an incredible noise especially if you sleep with the windows open. and yes in the summer there are trucks and tractors passing even at 5 in the morning. finally the breakfast buffet was fair at most. all bread is budget bake off and the marmelade etc is budget cash and carry wholesale quality.

Strange layout with door to dark room which was the way to the lift. Also had to go to another hotel for breakfast.

So nice to stay in a hotel that provides food that is of Michelin quality without the benefit of the badge.

We saw no one at Clovis. Room 21 is almost on the main road with heavy traffic throughout the night. Very disturbed sleep.

Annex rooms are dated. Rooms in main hotel may be better
