We were delighted that we had the same room as we have had on previous visits - it is very private and a great size. The bed was large and very comfortable. The bathroom was clean and perfect for the two of us. We also had access to an outside balcony. Breakfast was great - some delicious stewed apple, boiled eggs - cooked to our liking at our request, delicious jams and wonderful fresh baguettes plus coffee and tea. We ate dinner outside on the terrace as the weather was sunny and warm. Michelin star chef Joel Césari the proprietor had recently moved on and his successor is the renowned chef Laurent Barberot who is continuing to deliver a menu that, in our opinion, will ensure that La Chaumiere retains its status as a Michelin starred restaurant. Excellent wine list that complemented the menu. We were made to feel very welcome and are already looking forward to our next visits in September.

Beautiful little French hotel. Room was exceptional quality (we upgraded to the Superior Room on arrival) as was the hotel generally. Good traditional french breakfast, served (not self service).

Not something we didn't like but we couldn't get a table for dinner. As we were a very late booking and it was the French holidays this was not unexpected, but just be aware that the nearest restaurants are in Dole centre.

The bed and the shower! The bed and the pillows were super comfortable. We slept well. The pool was also very nice, we enjoyed it in the morning before we checked out.

The room smelled a bit damp, and there is no air-conditioning in the room (while it was fresh enough at night, it became warmer closer to the morning).

The location was excellent for our return journey from the Swiss Alps. Onsite parking a plus. The dining experience was tip-top - a restaurant with modern decor and friendly, professional service - but the cherry on the cake was the cuisine - immaculately cooked, well presented and with some really inventive flavours. Chapeau M Le Cuisinier! We hope to return again soon.

The bedroom was rather functional but all the same clean and comfortable. A fridge and tea/coffee making facility would have been nice.

The hotel is quirky, interesting, clean and comfortable. They were very happy to have our little dog and we were in a big room with huge comfortable bed. We had easy access to the garden making our stay perfect.

The location is out of the centre and on a road that is not very attractive. It didn’t mater however as the hotel is lovely.

Restaurant was very good. Great food, excellent Jura wine list and friendly helpful staff. Bed was very large and comfortable and shower room was newly re-fitted in a modern style and worked very well.

Though we had the largest room it was very dark with only one small window concealed by a wall length curtain and slightly inadequate lighting.

The restaurant is fantastic food is wonderful. The choice of wine is super. All the staff are very professional but welcoming and friendly.

My husband and I loved everything.

Everything was good except the lack of a kettle with tea and coffee in the bedroom. This is almost essential for English customers and is usually provided. I would have given an excellent rate otherwise.

Cheerful welcome for both us and two spaniels (one a very excitable 8 month old puppy) They were welcome in the restaurant and had some green spaces to explore. Great continental breakfast. Dinner was a small menu but very tasty. Restaurant was obviously very popular with local trade as well as residents

Room was not very large, but fine for an overnight stay, breaking our journey to the Alps Poor wifi

We had a lovely room and the hotel’s lounge, bar and dining area were all excellent. We had the tasting menu dinner, which was outstanding, if a little expensive!
