The location was excellent. Room was comfortable. Everything was clean and staff was friendly and could communicate in English. This village is so quaint. We were happy we spent the night in this area and took advantage of the wine cellar. We enjoyed lunch in the restaurant.

Was difficult to find the parking area which turned out to be quite far. The hotel is located inside the city walls and there is no signage outside the wall. We pulled our luggage up the hill in the rain. For departure, we were able to pull the car closer to the city wall for loading. Not a big deal but the toilet and bidet are oddly shaped, funny.

Beautiful historic hotel, superbly situated on the Plaza Mayor in the centre of lovely Laguardia. Friendly staff, great food. Atmospheric underground bodegas. Fabulous comfortable room. Best of all, we were lucky enough to stay at festival time in June. It was a really joyful lively atmosphere, with people of all ages coming together enjoying the traditions including dancing, processions and fireworks. It felt very much a local festival with not many tourists. Very easy going and good natured and family oriented. It was an incredible experience to be part of it. What a wonderful community!

Room was huge with a large shower, very nicely furnished and finished. The window looked over an internal area of the hotel so was quiet, which helped us sleep SO well! Laguardia is a lovely town, a must for anyone visiting La Rioja. Parking was initially only in designated car parks outside the town (be careful of the line colours and don't park in resident spaces!), so you do have to take your bags into the walled town. Staff very helpful and smart/ friendly. Fabulous g&t before dinner, which was also great. Breakfast was excellent. Don't forget to head down into the caves under the hotel! Close to loads of really good wineries and there is a selection of great places to eat in the town.

I did have to ask a couple of times about the private parking (which the hotel had offered in an email prior to arrival), it turns out they have a large and VERY clean & secure private garage which is a 5 min walk from the hotel, you have to ask at reception for a key/ fob for entry. No ability to charge anything in the bar/ restaurant to the room, you have to pay as you go along, but that's not a really big issue..

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 We recently had the most enchanting experience at the stunning hotel la hospederia de los parajes and restaurant in La Guardia, Spain. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the charm and beauty that surrounded us. The hotel itself was a luxurious oasis, blending modern amenities with traditional Spanish architecture seamlessly. Our room was elegantly decorated, The attention to detail and comfort provided made me feel pampered and at home throughout my stay. The restaurant on-site was a culinary delight! Every meal we had was a gastronomic journey, showcasing the finest ingredients and flavors of the region. The talented chefs truly outdid themselves, and the impeccable service only added to the exceptional dining experience. What truly set this establishment apart was the impeccable hospitality of the staff and the most charming owner Chari. From the warm welcome at check-in to the personalized recommendations for exploring La Guardia, every team member went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable and enjoyable. We cannot recommend this hotel and restaurant highly enough. If you are looking for a luxurious getaway in La Guardia, look no further. This hidden gem is a true five-star experience that will leave you feeling rejuvenated and inspired. We cannot wait to return to this beautiful haven in the heart of Spain. Thank you Chari and his team for looking after us.

Beautiful property right in the centre of the old walled town. Rooms done to a very high standard although some only have internal court yard windows. There is a lovely high class restaurant in the hotel but we did not eat there but did have a lovely breakfast. Many restaurants and bars close by. The parking is outside the town walls about a five to ten minute walk away. You cannot drive to the hotel.

The hotel is situated in an excellent location right in the centre of historic Laguardia in Rioja Alavesa within the pedestrian-only town walls. Free parking is on the outer side but within easy walking distance. The staff were friendly, efficient and approachable. Mar on Reception was very helpful. Andrea, also on Reception, and particularly Diego went over and above to help my husband. He wasn't well and they made huge efforts to phone and organise for him to visit out of hours a doctor who came specially to the town clinic. Diego even took us there in his time off. The hotel itself is traditional in decor and the restaurant quite formal in appearance but the waiting staff were friendly. Breakfast offered good coffee and the usual choice of eggs cooked to order, cold meats, pastries and juice. There is a wine bar for drinks and pintxos in the cellar of the hotel and guests are offered on arrival a token for a free drink and pintxos one evening. There is also a welcoming bar and seating area in the front reception as well as tables outside. With no traffic the area is good for sitting with drinks or a meal enjoying the atmosphere and watching the passers-by. The rooms are large and traditional but the shower area is attractive, modern and clean with great water pressure. We had a room facing the covered inner courtyard which was very quiet and the bed very comfortable.

The dining room was comfortable but a little too formal. For the first evening we had booked to eat dinner but hadn't realised that we could have eaten outside which would have been preferable.

Very well appointed hotel - renovated with all modern conveniences but retained the old charm characteristics. Great secured parking - outside the wall but very short walk. Great staff, one of the best breakfast offered in our weeks of travel. Do take time.to check out their underground cellar.

Nothing!

Astonishingly renovated old town house on the central plaza. All done with lots of taste and a twinkle of humor. Very friendly staff. Great comfortable rooms with a big bathroom and separate luggage corner. Very good and plentiful breakfast. You can stop in front of the city gate and the staff will help you with luggage.

Parking is a bit tricky being a traffic restricted area but can be solved outside the city walls.

This is the best hotel by far in this quaint medieval village. Spacious rooms looking out over the most beautiful square. We are used to good service in beautiful places, but in Los Parajes Staff, food, position and cleanliness are all ten out of ten. We were lucky to book early as it fully booked..

It could become a little noisy over weekends for very early sleepers.

Thé hope Derrida is a very beautiful house, nicely decorated & full of charm. people here are very nice, from the gentleman at the cave bar to the ladies at breakfast. it is ideally situated, very comfortable. The atmosphere inside the building is very unique.

Although we had a very good stay, there are two things we were disappointed about : - The spa is very small but a bit expensive, access is paying for hotel customers - We reserved maybe a month in advance on booking at a certain price. The day we went to the hotel, prices had drowned but we still got to pay full price (and it was a big difference)
