I was very comfortable and happy @ the Hotel Stein-Colonial. The staff were wonderful, nice small poo and garden area. The hotel is old but very charming, and location for me was good. Easy taxi service to and from the hotel, the staff were very good at arranging laundry, ordering of taxis' and very kind and attentive. A good hotel to sit and chill at, and nice guests staying there to meet and chat to.

I would have liked softer and thinner pillows on the bed, the pillows were too puffy and hard for me, they did give me a thinner pillow, it was better but still hard. Despite this, I would stay there again, and bring my own pillow.

Loved the colonial heritage aspect of the property. Great wood paneling in the main rooms, grand staircase entrance, period furniture and other pieces…. And yet, my room had a recently renovated bathroom with good hot water supply, a comfortable bed and every amenity I needed. I slept well on the two nights I was at Hotel Stein Colonial. Breakfast was more than adequate with four different menu options included in the nightly Tarif. The pool was clean, clear and cool. A very satisfying and comfortable stay. One of the best in my three month Sth American travels

Diddly squat

Staff was amazing . Food was delicious. The location is in a safe area . They do have 24 hour security .pool is small & the fitness area not so much . Tread mill did not work . The bike did work . It use to be a home for children like 65 years ago , so no room for a big fitness area . Not a gym at all if you’re a gym rat. I wanted the Columbia feel & it was just that .

That there was no gym. If I come and stay for just 2 days I will stay here . But not any longer because I do need a gym . But that is the only reason . Everything else was great for me!

Very nice location, on walking distance from basically all high quality amenities you wish for, bars restaurants, very good gyms. Its save clean and lovely surroundings including a couple of min walk to the vibrant Rio de Cali, museums and other main areas. They also have a laundry service and good security.

The matrass was too hard! They need to chance those, then the hotel gets a 10!! The doors you have to slam to close as you cannot turn the knob because its a locking mechanism which does not allow you to turn the knob when you leave the room. In general the hotel is very private.

Very beautiful hotel in a peculiar style for the city. Very nice rooms and beds. Very good noise isolation for Colombian standards (considering the squeaky stairs and wooden floors). Pool area, gym area. Very nice staff in a gated property.

There's a nightbird shirping from sunset to sunrise. The windows couldn't close fully, so mosquitoes could enter.

There’s lot to like about this hotel. the location is perfect. Easy to walk into the center of Cali, San Antonio or Granada, it’s perfectly placed in a quiet neighborhood in the middle of these. The place has the feel of an interesting sprawling colonial house, and the pool area is cute and comfortable to spend time in. The place is well-staffed, the breakfast is swift and of good quality, and my room was comfortable. The walls are thick and I was able to sleep well. The shower is hot, and though the room lacked air-conditioning the fan was sufficient for temperature for me. There was a water cooler placed near reception and jugs and glasses to fill up.

The only thing lacking was air conditioning, but that really wasn’t a problem for me.

What a lovely family run place. Old nostalgia meets fantastic customer service. Wonderful breakfast and also a full restaurant. Gorgeous building and very secure. They took beautiful care of me for a week and I always felt like I was coming home.

Breakfast was ok, with fruit, juice, coffee. Should offer more arepas or more bread (1 medium arepa per person) but flexible with people with allergies (gluten free and dairy free drinks upon request) super friendly staff, clean room.

Rooms should offer hair dryer per room (they have 2 for the whole hotel guess, one didn’t work) and more bread/arepas during breakfast. The menu stays “basket of bread” but is not really offered.

I loved the old world charm and decorations for Christmas. I ate most of my meals at the restaurant and found the food to be tasty and an eclectic mix of German Swiss cuisine with a local flair. The owner's son lent me a book to read about the original owner of the hotel. Fascinating story.

The staff and I spoke with gestures and a little English. They did an excellent job of explaining how to find the places I wanted to visit.

An oasis in Cali. The attention we got after our arrival was outstanding, we got a small lunch even it was outside restaurant operation time. There is free coffee and water.

Nothing to do with the hotel, but Cali did not impress us much. Woke up to the sound of breaking glass and following alarm in the morning.
