Located within a few minutes of Kokura station and an endless number of izakaya, restaurants, bars, and shops, Rakuten Stay was an obvious choice for a few reasons. For a comparable price to one of the many business hotels in the area, these renovated studio apartments give you twice as much space with two double beds, a full shower room, bath, kitchenette, and sitting area. It's easy to find and the self-check-in couldn't have been easier. There are also a ton of outlets, reading lights, and a much need air conditioner with in-unit controls.

The carpet was in need of some cleaning and our duvet covers were stained.

Value for Money. Very decent size room with 2 double bed and a kitchenette. The toilet and bathroom are very clean. Laundry is on the ground floor, 600yen with 135 mins wash & dryer.

The location is slightly far from the centre but 10 mins walk is definitely acceptable. The self check-in process was a little bit confusing, there are a couple of ipad in the reception for check in. When they asked me to input my booking number, I input the booking number but it didn't work, I managed to get hold of a customer service person on the ipad through video call and they said the booking number is actually my phone number.

Great location. Large room by Japanese standards. Clean. Utensils provided.

Really had to watch cooking emissions- strong warnings re smoke alarms. Tablet check-in a little clunky. Understand both individuals (in a couple) need to scan passports, but hoped we wouldn’t have to each enter itinerary details. This is only minor.

I really like the location, close to alot of shops.

I didn't like that I we were there for two weeks and no clean sheets or towels were provided, we had to ask for them.

Checking in is easy and hussle free. Instructions were provided before arrival. Room is spacious, clean and comfortable. Parking is convenient.

Communication via Booking.com was in Japanese, which requires me to constantly doing screenshot and translating. Pillow is hard.

Very Good location. 5,6 minutes walking from station. Also walkable to shopping street, 小仓城。 lots of restaurants nearby. The room comes with kitchen facility which pretty handy if you like to cook some simple stuff.

Our second experience on a Rakuten stay, and not the last time for sure. Room was spacious and clean, plenty of space for luggage. Nice bathroom and comfortable beds. Well-located close to the Kokura train station.

Space - The room was huge and very easy to move around! Could easily fit a family of 4 with multiple luggage. Location - The place is very close to the train station.

Would be nice if there are instant coffees easy for grabs in the room for a quick drink.

The pillows were not comfortable. There should also be an option for cleaning for long stay customers.
