an old-fashioned hotel but clean, in a very good position in old town

in the reservation it was written that the Ticino Ticket is included, but it is not, so if I calculate that the train cost me an extra 60 euros, I could have chosen another hotel with a better rating...

Really well situated and affordable for a last minute spontaneous trip, we were basically in the middle of Lugano and Como so it was quite easy to get around Ticino especially with the Ticino ticket that you get when staying here!

Breakfast was a little lacklustre but still good enough to skip having to hunt for food elsewhere early in the morning

The room was small, but had all the basic amenities and even a nice balcony. Check in shortly before 10pm was ok and I could have breakfast at 7:30 am (important for an early bird). The breakfast itself is a bit spartan - just coffee, a croissant with jam and a yoghurt. But then again, that gets reflected in the price you pay.

Very Friendly staff. The location was quiete and in a lovely street. The room was clean and the balcony a bonus. The breakfast was very basic but the coffee was divine.

There wasn't anything I didn't like.

The hosts were very friendly, attentive, I felt almost like at home :) Cosy atmosphere, very quiet, breakfast in the little garden, great view from the balcony:)

Very nice and friendly staff, they helped where to find postcards. Top view to the church and Monte Generoso from the room window. Very new furniture. Good breakfast. Close to attractions in the city centre such as USI, cantine, churches. Fast internet.

There is no elevator so after you climb the mountain from the train station you have to climb to your floor for an optimal view. But the staff was kind and helped with luggage.

Maybe some fresh fruit for breakfast also?

It is an old building but very clean. The owner's are nice and very helpful.
