The hotel's greatest strengths were its excellent location and the exceptional hospitality of the staff. Situated in a convenient position to the train station. The staff was always ready to assist with a warm and welcoming attitude. Their professionalism and friendliness truly made a difference

The main criticisms are for the corridors (they need a good renovation) and the sink in the bathroom. While some aspects of the hotel could be improved, the combination of a prime location and outstanding service made for a pleasant stay.

Perfect position very close to train station. Very quiet in the night. Large and comfortable rooms.

Breakfast is poor, mainly with supermarket standard food, nothing special or typical. The hotel is renovated but old, so something doesn’t function sometimes. I sleep here several times and one time didn’t work the safe box, one time the room lamp, sometimes… other things. So, is necessary more attention to details. But overall, I come back every time I take the train.

The reception staff were absolutely excellent. We’d had a nightmare situation with our old car breaking down which then meant a lot of complicated conversations. Our language skills are limited to English but Greta and the woman on the afternoon shift kindly made the phone calls on our behalf and smoothed the path to the car being repaired. They were so very kind and professional and we appreciated them very much. The restaurant staff were charming and food delicious. Lovely spacious room and bathroom. Friendly cleaning staff.

Because of train strike in Italy, I had to break my trip in Chiasso, arriving late and leaving with the first train in the morning (about 5h30). The train station is very close. The personnel were quite friendly. After the trip, entering the hotel was a good sensation "finally home".

For my type of experience (arriving late without dinner, leaving early before breakfast room opens), having the opportunity and comfort of a water boiler and some tee bags in the room would have been great.

Good welcome from the staff member. Clear instructions on parking Room overall clean and very spacious. Would visit again as it's decent value for money. Came Saturday night and Sunday the town is completely shutdown, but parking is free.

Fridge was dirty and needed cleaning. Breakfast is very basic. Coffee not great.

The room had its own large balcony area, which was great for our two little dogs. The bed was comfy and the ensuite great apart from shower door opening inwards, meaning a real squeeze to get in and out.

I enquired about car parking but was informed the underground garage was too low for our land rover with roof tent. I wasn't given any options. I was expecting to park some distance from hotel which I was dredding as the car was full of stuff. As it happened luck was on our side as we arrived about 8 pm a lady pulled out of car parking space opposite hotel. The parking zone is 15mins max, but free from 7pm to 8 am, so we had an early start in morning. One other moan was WiFi which is charged via Swisscom, not what I wanted.

Everything in my room was fine, clean and new. Nothing to complain about. Very good value for what I payed. Minibar well equipped. Kettle and possibly to kale coffee. New clean towels, modern bathroom.

I didn't sleep well on your matters whi h masses me think it wasn't the best quality. I normally don't have problems like this but this one was uncomfortable and hard. No option to have tea although there are kettles and instant coffee in the rooms. Not sure why no tea was there. No toothpaste or toothbrush in the bathroom set.

I enjoyed all facilities, Reception, and breakfast. I broke my nail upon arrival and didn't have a file with me, the nail was so annoying during my travel, but at the hotel room there was a file in, I was so happy ☺️

Usually, I choose to stay with breakfast included, but Booking.com didn't inform me that breakfast you have to pay separately. If I choose the option with breakfast included, please show me hotels only with breakfast included. That was bad as I was badly surprised at the end of my stay.

The room location was perfect and just across the border with access to some very nice cafes and restaurants. The room was very comfortable and cozy with a nice balcony and a view of the city and close to the mountains.

The breakfast was not so good and was not fresh too.

The location is great, a short walk to the train station and nested in the town central business district with coffee shops and small boutiques around it. The price partially reflects this location, but iit s still good value for Switzerland. The hotel restaurant serves traditional German dishes and Swiss classical meals, all at high quality standards.

Having stayed here before, years ago, I sense a lack of interest in keeping up with the new., the decor is dated and a revamping is long overdue. The breakfast was basic, almost frugal, coffee ran out and the service was symbolic to put it kindly.
