The villa has been in the Corti family for generations, and you can feel it in the old furniture, the peaceful rooms, and the beautiful views. The family is connected to Alfonso Corti, the scientist who discovered the "organ of Corti" in the human ear. His legacy still lives here, and the current owners care deeply about keeping the spirit of the place. This is not a hotel — don’t expect standard hotel services. It’s more personal, quiet, and full of charm. If you love authentic, historic places that feel like a story — this is a very special experience.

A quirky B&B style hotel with its heart back in the days before mass tourism hit Como. The villa is set high on a steep hillside overlooking Como. Accessed by a narrow road with twisty hairpin bends. Fun to drive and easier after you’ve done it a few times. The villa is run by a lovely couple who are renovating it bit by bit. The parts we saw were very authentic in style. We opted for a room with a separate ( private) shower room which was just across the corridor from our room. The view from our bedroom was spectacular…..down the hillside to Como and right out across the lake to the hills. Perfect to gaze out at ( especially as the room had no TV. Who needs a TV anyway, with the whole of Lake Como to take in) There is WiFi but we didn’t use it. When we closed the window and wooden shutters it cut out any noise from the road outside, and it didn’t bother us much with the window open. Breakfast was served around a big dinning table and enough choice for most people including a huge basket of fresh croissants. There’s safe, free on site parking, and although we couldn’t sit outside ( due to torrential rain) there is outdoor seating again with amazing views. Guilua and Guido thanks for being so welcoming.

Very friendly host, went out of his way to make us comfortable and gave us recommendations for dinner while in town. Very passionate about restoring the villa. Everything very clean and lots of beautiful antique furniture. Beautiful view from the room. Great light breakfast in the morning - tea/coffee, biscotti, tasty Italian pastries, fresh fruit. A wonderful, unique experience. I'd stay here again.

Tricky/difficult to access without a car/taxi - if walking, Google maps will tell you to take the N1 bus and walk up Via Cardino, but it's actually faster and flatter to take the N1 to its origin at San Fermo and walk from there, it's longer on the bus but a more comfortable walk. Nearby expressway is a bit loud but not extraordinarily so.

Views! Easy, free parking on premises. Charm and character of the building. Guido was very friendly, easy going and helpful.

You need a car!! A 15 minute drive to the city. Difficult to find car parking in Como. There are no longer any walkways or steps down to Como since the freeway cut off access. Freeway noise prevented you from opening the window. A fridge in common dining area would be good for self catering options.

The view from our room was breathtaking! The villa is exactly what the experience should be when staying at an Italian villa. The garden and the proximity of Como town are what we were looking for. Loooved the fact that there was no TV in the room!

The bathroom was external, however that is reflected in the price. Not such a big issue, it was right in front of the room and it was private.

This place takes to you back in time. Located in a wonderful garden with a beautiful view, you feel like time has frozen when you step inside. The villa has kept its original spirit with the nice decoration and furniture without giving away from cleanliness. Definitely an experience for people who do not look for chain hotels without spirit. We stayed in a room with private bathroom, I would not prefer to share this with other people. As I understood not every room was like this. For us everything went fine.

The wifi signal is only available in the ground floor. Yes, it's a place to disconnect and not work but you should be able to make a whatsapp call in your room. Not as a negative point, indeed the location was perfect for us but you definitely need a car to reach in and out.

The location and views were superb.overlooking Lake Como The garden was lovely to explore . The breakfast was just what we needed with plenty of choice to choose from . The fruit was delicious. The local pizzeria and gelato were one of the best we had visited and we could walk there so we could have a drink :)

If you need Charging ports for mobile phone it had old Italian plugs so maybe having an adapter which would fit this at an extra charge even would be useful . We found a modern plug with air conditioner so used this so we were fine in one room :)

What a beautiful house in a lovely location. Our host was very helpful and informative. A charming man. The bed was huge and very comfortable. Shower was great too.

The private bathroom was across the hall - not a problem as there were no other guests in, but could be embarrassing. I did expect a bit more for breakfast than what was on offer. I’d have gladly paid more for the option.

Friendly host was great. Incredibly wonderful view! Very nice property.

Property needs some TLC...has potential to be exceptional (great flowers and space). Rooms were pretty hot with limited ventilation (though our host kindly tried to help). Can't escape highway noise (maybe a water fountain could mask it some?)

The house is locatedin a beautiful place, on the hill over the city. It is very peaceful with a great view. The villa is very romantic with the od furnitures, our aparment was roomy, comfortable for 4 persons. Everything was very clean, and the cleaning lady came daily to put everything in order. The owner was very kind and helpful and we loved the two cats staying around the house.

My husband missed a little more rich breakfast, but it was for fine for me.
