We stayed here for the last night of our honeymoon after two nights in Bellagio and arrived somewhat bedraggled following a ten minute walk in the rain from the Como ferry station. (It seems that hailing or booking a taxi on the fly in Como is as difficult as we had heard). We were greeted by two staff on reception who were absolutely lovely and got us checked in and on our way to our room in no time. Having dumped our bags, we made our way down to the bar/cafe/breakfast room for a couple of negronis. The lovely woman on reception was just going off shift and spent some time with us in the cafe which was great as we are both learning the language. Our room on the second floor was excellent. Clean, spacious and complete with tea and coffee making facilities. The bed was very comfortable with quite a firm mattress. The shower was fab. The hotel is located approximately 10 minutes on foot from the centre of Como and 5 minutes walk from the Como San Giovanni railway station. Although slightly off the beaten track, there are at least a couple of great places to eat within a couple of minutes walk. We ate at the very popular "Pizzeria in Borgovico" (the menu of which goes way beyond pizza) which was excellent. The "Figli dei Fiori Bistrot" is right next door to the hotel and is, by all accounts, very good too.

The 1 night stay in Como was wonderfull, outstanding, because of the hotel staff and the cosy clean french room that we have. Even though the weather was chill and rainy, our stay was perfect because of the Borgo Antico Hotel . We will have such a beautifull memories about Como again , thanks to the Borgo Antico Hotel. We appreciated both the lady that helped us with the check in and gave us good recomandations , and the gentelman from the chek out, who waited us with a very very good, tasty and varied breakfest at a very early hour, The room and the entire hotel was so clean , we had a very good night in a very comfortable bed. The location was on a quiet street in the city center, close to the tourist attractions. Congratulations to the hotel manager and the staff ! Definetly it is a 4 star hotel and I gave 10 points for the front desk staff.

This was such a cozy, clean, great, affordable option for Como. The room was charming, the solarium lounge in the hotel was absolutely gorgeous and relaxing, the staff was super nice, lobby was inviting, their decor is calming, the breakfast was good, and everything was kept clean. Walk to Main areas in Como was an easy 10-15 minutes and this hotel is in a quiet area conveniently close to the train station. We recommend and would stay here again.

The bed was too stiff and uncomfortable for my husband. I put the spare blankets under the fitted sheet on his side to soften it up a bit..

Very nice ambience, neighborhood and breakfast. The perfect location if you’re arriving by train as the station is right behind it but not noisy. There are four very nice looking restaurants on the block. The one on the left of the hotel, adjacent to the flower shop, was truly memorable.

Liked it all except that the parking was a bit tricky at first. Parking is in an underground garage one block away. Pay attention to directions or you’ll wind up in traffic. Ignore the sign that says Full or its Italian equivalent. Just enter and look for green lights which indicate vacant spots.

The staff were wonderful and very helpful. The room was bigger than expected with a lovely view of the garden and both the bedroom and bathroom were clean and will maintained. The personalised welcome note was a lovely thought. The breakfast was continental however had lots of choices and the coffee was great! It was only 5 minutes walk to the water and 10 minutes to the ferry terminal so great location to walk everywhere.

This hotel was perfect. It was situated perfectly for an easy walk from the train station and an easy walk into the main City center but outside enough so that it was very quiet and comfortable at night, away from the large crowds. We really appreciated the facilities which were new, clean, and had everything we needed including a large bathroom. The elevator was very appreciated by my parents who are senior citizens. The morning breakfast was also good and filling. What we appreciated most though was the staff. The staff was so nice, friendly, and helpful.

Nice clean rooms, nice breakfast, easy check in and check out. Most of the staff were very lovely and friendly and helped me with any queries or issues I came across. The hotel is just a 10 minute walk to the harbour, main square, and ferry terminal and a 5 minute walk to Como San Giovanni station.

warm food options for breakfast could be improved, currently they only have boiled eggs, but it would be great to have other items. One of the staff members (tall, neck tattoos) was extremely rude to me. I had an issue with my room's bathroom door and he was extremely hostile and unhelpful. All the other staff members were lovely but this man made me very uncomfortable.

Amazing staff. Great breakfast and close walk to train station and town center.
