This is a stylish and small boutique hotel with comfortable and tastefully furnished rooms all to a high standard. From the moment we arrived we felt welcome and relaxed. All the staff were polite, friendly and so helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. The owners Sara and Andrea , Paola and Palo gave great suggestions for our itinerary and were on hand in reception , we stayed three nights and our room tended to daily and spotlessly clean. The location of the hotel is perfect! 4 mins to the Cathedral, 4 minutes to the lake , ferry stops, ten mins to the main train which was so easy from Milan airport, and minutes to amazing views!!! Set in a small piazza it is tranquil yet a few steps to the livelier main squares! Breakfast was plentiful and we ate two evenings out of three nights in the hotel’s restaurant, the food was fabulous and reasonably priced as were the wines and beers! We loved staying here, thank you to all the team!

It was perfect.

The location of the hotel was excellent- very central and walking distance to everywhere you wanted. The room itself was a good size and comfortable and had reliable air conditioning. It was facing an internal court yard, which was nicely maintained and very pleasant with nice tables and chairs and plants and a relaxed ambience, which meant noise was minimal most of the time. The room had free water and a coffee machine, which gave you a few free coffee pods to use, which was a very welcome addition for me in the mornings.

Although the noise was minimal for the most part, there was some noise in the evenings when I could hear staff and punters from the hotel's pizza restaurant on the ground floor. The room faced an inner court yard, which was fine, although it also meant that if someone was sitting there, they could see right into your room, and house keeping kept the curtains open after they had been there each morning, which wasn't amazing for privacy. This was easily remedied by just closing the curtains when I got into the room.

The rooms were immaculate and comfortable and have air conditioning . The desk folks were friendly and helpful.

The location is very convenient as far as walking around the city and to the sights you’d like to see. It is in the pedestrian zone, so if you’re arriving by car, you must find parking in one of the 3 large parking garages on the perimeter of the pedestrian zone. When we visited, 2 of the garages were full, and you need GPS to find an alternative garage. Parking in Como is stressful . This is not the hotel’s fault of course. It’s just something to be prepared for if you want to visit Como.

It was a really lovely stay! The location is great — tucked away in a cozy courtyard surrounded by beautiful buildings. It’s pretty close to everything you might need, from the lake to the train station. The staff was just amazing. The lady at reception gave us a quick tour and personally walked us to our room, which isn’t something you see very often. The room seemed recently renovated, so everything was super clean and cozy. The bed and pillows were also incredibly comfortable. Breakfast was nice. Some might say it’s a bit “dry,” but from my experience, it’s a fairly typical Italian breakfast — lots of sweet options, fruit, and more. I thought it was good!

We did notice a slight noise from outside, maybe from the AC system. It could be an issue for light sleepers, but it was totally fine for us.

This is a small friendly, family run hotel in a good location in Como for all of the attractions. My wife and I felt that it was like a ‘home from home’, the room was very good, the food was excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful. We stayed for 8 nights and loved it! We ate in the restaurant every night except Wednesday, their night off.

Nothing it was just what we wanted.

I had a great time staying at Albergo Del Duca. The hotel is located 10 mins walk away from Como San Giovanni train station or 5 mins via bus. The room was nice, decent size and clean. I stayed on the first floor and loved the fact that there was a patio with some greenery where you could sit and chill. My room had AC which I really enjoyed. The staff is very kind , welcoming and helpful. The hotel has a restaurant and the food is very nice. I enjoyed having breakfast in the morning it was so peaceful. You can walk everywhere from the hotel which I really enjoyed. The ferry port is only 6 mins walk away from the hotel. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Como city.

I wish I could’ve stayed longer

The location was perfect, right in the centre with numerous restaurants and bars just a few minutes walk away. The hotel was immaculate and breakfast was plentiful and extremely fresh. Bread, cheese, ham, fruit, yoghurts, cereal, cake and croissants. The coffee served was always delicious and hot. The waiter at breakfast, sorry didn’t get his name, but he told us he was originally from the Philippines, was friendly and very meticulous. The layout of breakfast was just perfect.

We would have benefitted from more coffee in the room. Just 2 pods of espresso and 2 de caf per day and one paper cup each. A cappuccino pod would have been a welcome choice, but that might be the way it is generally done in Italian hotels.

Very clean, comfortable and very authentic Italian, run by a family. Also lots of attention to detail, very welcoming atmosphere. Lovely, friendly staff, nothing too much trouble. Beautiful building, situated in a pretty square and in the centre of the Old Town, so everything easy to get to, including the railway station ( except the trains went on strike on our departure day!!)

The only fault I have is that maybe there could have been a little more choice at breakfast. Having said that, breakfast was adequate, nicely laid out and included in the price. Very friendly waiter who made the best Cappuccino in Como! Once again, nothing was too much trouble for him.

Great location in a piazza in the old town, plenty of restaurants, cafes and shops close by. The lake was a few minutes walk away and the San Giovanni train station about a 10 minute walk away. The hotel has been renovated so nice modern room, with free bottled water and coffee machine, modern bathroom with good toiletries. Wifi speed was good and reliable. Nice breakfast catering to different tastes, so pastries, yoghurt, fruit, juices, cheese and meat slices, jams, nutella, bread that can be toasted, cake. Would stay here again.

Central location, 10 min from the train station and 5 min from the ferries. Very clean, comfortable, AC worked very well. Great breakfast, the owners were very welcoming, went out of their way to prepare breakfast before the standard hours, so we can eat before we catch an early train. Very quiet, although it was in a busy street. We loved our 2 nights stay in the junior suite.
