The room was a good size, nicely decorated and clean. The bed was king-size and comfortable. The view out the window of the mountains and lake was amazing. Where you park the car (15 minutes hike) from the guest house there is a local restaurant/shop/cafe. The food there is so amazing we didn't want to eat anywhere else. The staff at the guest house were so helpful and if you don't fancy walking they will quickly take you in the shuttle (little panda care) whenever you like. We didn't have to wait at all, they were very responsive. Breakfast was great, with a lovely view of the lake.

The hot tub was amazing and we booked a one hour session every day. I would have liked it to be cleaner though.

This place is unique as it sits up in the hills/Alps looking down on Lake Como. The location is peculiar as it sits up in the hills in the medieval town of Molina, which is a great visit, and neat to walk through. I would recommend renting a car or setting up a car service to get to this location as the bus systems around the lake are not easy to navigate with luggage, per our experience. Once you arrive, the innkeeper will meet you in the town for a short shuttle in his car up the hill to the Essentia guest house. The breakfast in the morning was prepared every morning by the staff, and it was simple but filling enough for the morning. In the evenings, if you choose they will make you dinner from a limited menu that is quite typical of what you would eat in a rural area, as this location depicts. All in all, this was a great experience for us, but I could see it not being everyone's cup of tea.

The bed was a little soft, and the pillows provided were on the low end.

Gorgeous view and very nice hosts. The stay is incredibly unique and provides an amazing view of Lake Como. The hot tub is at a very comfortable temperature and you can lose yourself in a book with the view and the bubbles bubbling away. Internet speed was great too which the kids enjoyed during down time. The drive to the guest house is memorable and the other reviews do not dissapoint! Exhilerating and phenomenal driving skills make it an experience on its own. Make sure you park in the big parking lot and don't try driving up there! You'll understand once you've experienced the drive up from the parking lot. I've added a picture to give you an idea of the ride up!

We had the family suite and the bathroom is reachable by going through one of the rooms - important to realise if someone gets up a lot in the night.

Exceptional stay – truly a hidden gem! This place is absolutely amazing. We've stayed in many hotels and apartments abroad, but nowhere have we felt as good as we did here. The atmosphere is one of a kind. The hotel is located near the top of a hill and offers breathtaking views of Lake Como and the nearby villages. You're surrounded by stunning nature, and every morning you're greeted by the sound of singing birds. The staff are simply wonderful – incredibly kind, helpful, and always ready to assist. They responded immediately to all our questions and happily arranged transport from the nearby parking lot to the guesthouse and back down the hill whenever we needed it. The price is very reasonable, especially considering everything you get. Breakfast is fresh, healthy, delicious, and all-you-can-eat. If you choose to have dinner, you won’t be disappointed – the host prepares everything himself, including great coffee, fresh fruit, and amazing local meats. In the evening, you can unwind in the jacuzzi while enjoying the view of the lake and the twinkling lights of the towns across the shore. A little paradise on Earth. We’ll definitely be back!

The hotel is In a quiet serene location overlooking lake Como, isolated and peaceful. An absolute adventure to get up there in the shuttle! Molina is a stunning and traditional village, a great walk around bar the hills! The hosts that we had (Mateo and unfortunately did not catch the name of the young lady) were fantastic and looked after us the whole stay. The food in the Guest house was fantastic and cooked on site, the hot tub was a highlight overlooking the lake. The room was clean and well kept and had all the emmenities. Very romantic and for a stones throw away from a popular area (Como) it’s incredibly peaceful. We loved it and would stay again. Thank you so much!

This place is absolutely magical. We had the Junior Suite and the view from the window is just stunning. The outside terrace is very cozy, menu super tasty and doesn't kill the bank account. You need at least to try the lasagna and the beef stew, and the local selection of cold cuts. Deliziosa! The shuttle service from free parking area and back is phenomenal experience on its own. And without luggage the distance from parking spot to guesthouse is beautiful and not really that hard to walk - although it is a rather steep Italian mountain village so if you want to do this, remember to bring proper footwear. We spent the longest duration of out honeymoon here during our Germany-Austria-Switzerland-Italy-Liechtenstein trip and it was the best travel decision we made. Should have stayed for longer! An amazing villa high up in the hills above lake Como. Breathtaking location and views. The team that run the place are very friendly and ready to do almost anything you ask. Considering the location, the team manage dinners, breakfasts, they take you down to the village and up to the villa (you would not want to do it in your car!) and they do it all with a smile. Great food, great choice of drinks, relaxing, wonderful location.

Everything was perfect. The view from the room was breathtaking so much so that we couldn't help but get a pizza and have dinner in the room. The location is good if you want to visit Como, Bellagio and the other villages that you can get by ferry. Everything was very clean and well taken care of. The host is very nice and always there to help. The "shuttle" service works well and in the end, it is a memorable experience of the place.

The only small thing is the inconvenience of not having our car near to our room because of the need to use the shuttle.

I had one memorable, amazing night in the Essentia Guest House. It was gorgeous. Tucked up in the mountains, it is part of the fun getting up to the property. Once there, it's a peaceful, family-run oasis overlooking the lake. The hosts are wonderfully friendly and accommodating, and their meal offerings make you feel truly like houseguests rather than travelers. I loved it and wish I could have stayed longer!

For those looking for a home base to branch out from this would not be the best choice, but for a peaceful retreat and an experience to remember this is perfect .

Absolutely beautiful and cozy apartment very high up on the mountains overlooking the lake. Excellent view, great breakfast service in the morning, convenient and reasonably priced additional dinner service. The room had a fire place in it which we were able to use. Very secluded.

This property has a windy and terrifying road to get up to it, it was a fun adrenaline-fuelled adventure but is not for the faint-of-heart. Its position on the mountain meant not a lot of sunlight at winter.
