The hospitality for us was second to none, a family owned and run older hotel. Our rooms although basic had a balcony overlooking Lake Como facing north which are stunning from sunrise to sunset, local bus stops just 50m from the hotel entrance and every half hour, good restuarant on site, breakfast superb. A perfect base with which to explore the region using the lake ferry service from the the dock in old Torno a short walk away.

Rooms get very hot and without aircon, saying that it would not stop us staying again.

Family owned hotel with great welcome and friendly staff taking well care of guests. . Wonderful view on the lake from the dining room and state rooms with a balcony and chairs ! Excellent breafast with good products and home made omelettes on request. Old style hotel and furnitures (years 80’s) but well maintained and Clean. The food at the restaurant was also excellent. Parking available.

Excellent location, 10 minutes from the ships stop, excellent food, perfect views, quiet situation, I had my zoom calls in the garden, from where there are amazing views… I would stay there again. Huge parking, very safe and the staff very helpful.

A/C missing, though at night it is quite fresh and during the day I was away.

A view beyond amazing; waking up to the great scenery of Lake Como is priceless. The hotel was close to the Como town and had parking spots with a nice garden. The breakfast was by far, one of the most rich ones. The two rooms that we stayed in both had balconies facing the lake and it was a delight to spend time on the balcony.

The hotel staff were sweet but only a few of them spoke English well. However they were a bit disorganized, we had to wait an hour for the preparation of our rooms, even though we arrived within the check-in hours. The rooms didn't seem very clean, they weren't dirty or anything, but it felt like the furniture had been through a lot of stuff.

Although it is dated by todays standarts the hotel really makes you feel how everything was in a past time. The views from this hotel are amazing and the staff are exceptional. Food at the restaurant was very tasty and generous, breakfast options are plenty To get to the parking is a bit of a steep drive but for any average driver should be no problem

The bed could have been a little bit more comfortable as it was two single mattreses in one bed but did not pose a problem for us

The family who owns it found out we were going to be leaving early in the morning to catch our flight, which would make us miss the included breakfast. Without us asking, they offered take away bags the night before of breakfast goods and it was so genuine and kind. Very sweet.

There is not air conditioning but honestly it really wasn’t needed. With the fan on and balcony windows open we were totally cool and comfortable.

Having read reviews I wasn’t sure what to expect, so went with an open mind but I have to say we had a wonderful stay. The location and views are breathtaking! We went with friends and our rooms were next to each other, as requested with the most spectacular view down the lake. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant the first night, which was delicious but huge! We booked for the next evening too, as all we wanted was a beautiful lake view and great food and it was brilliant to get both on site. We found all the staff friendly and helpful and will definitely return.

Some reviews describe the hotel as old fashioned, but that’s all part of the charm. It’s family run and not part of a large, glossy chain. The rooms are relatively small and basic, but big enough and spotlessly clean and ours had a very comfortable bed, also air conditioning, tv, hair dryer…but the terrace where we could sit and take in the beauty of the lake views was quite priceless. The only fly in the ointment is getting back up the steep road from the ferry stop, the walk down is ok, but coming back another matter and there are no taxis. Just give yourselves plenty of time!

Given that it was very hot we did miss having air conditioning in the room. The heat at night made sleeping difficult - a small fan was provided but it didn’t really make much difference.

Great location overlooking lake Como, very good continental breakfast and the restaurant had a good choice of Italian cuisine at reasonable prices owner was very helpful in letting me park outside the reception as I have limited walking ability.

Nothing to dislike its an old mid 70's style hotel that as an old charm about it. Fully functional.

WE couldn t have better view on lac Como from the room balcony. Was amazing . Food in restaurant was simple but really very tasty, good portions. Breakfast as well. Lady who served the breakfast was very friendly and the hotel manager as well. Lot of parking spots, you need good driving skills to get in and out :)

A bit of refreshing for decoration would be needed.
