The hotel was perfect location, only 30 minute ferry from Como. The ferry stop is right outside the front of the hotel in addition to a bus stop which can also take you around the lake. The hosts were super lovely and extremely helpful when needing advice on bus/ferry times and places to visit. We stayed in a lake view, balcony room which was perfect. Sadly we had bad weather but would definitely recommend!! The room was super clean and nice sized bathroom. Would recommend as a perfect hotel to stay at when visiting Lake Como. If you’re wanting to stay somewhere with restaurants and supermarkets near by, there wasn’t much apart from the restaurant in the hotel.

Hotel staff were very friendly and very helpful. Hotel was in a lovely quiet area on the lake side opposite the boat pick up point for transport round the lake. Hotel was spotlessly clean. A continental breakfast was offered at extra cost and had a lovely selection of choice. The most panoramic lake view in the restaurant!!!!

The only area that we felt could have been improved was the lack of relaxation space outside. We had a small area in the front of the hotel over looking the lake with a small garden. however we had previously seen photos of a lovely roof terrace that we were told was now used for additional bedrooms. This would have been a perfect

We loved the location and the staff. Although breakfast wasn't included in our reservation, we tried their cake and it was delicious. The hotel is in a quiet area, which we really appreciated — there weren't many tourists around. There are plenty of great restaurants, cafes, and bars nearby.

The room was a bit small, but we knew it was one of the last available since we booked last minute. While it wasn’t spotless, the cleanliness was decent overall.

The hotel is beautiful, and it is located just next to the Como lake. Breakfast (not included) was very good and with a great view over the lake.

We are a family with three smaller children (7,5,1 1/2), the street is very narrow with no secure place to walk. And the area is very quiet with no shops where you can buy water or ice cream. No play grounds in walking distance. The shore of lake Como is almost not accessible from the hotel, you have to drive to find a place to swim with children. We got no information about things to do in the area with children - and not very much help when we asked for a place to get pizza for lunch. The guy in the hotel told us “further down the street”, but we didn’t find that place, that serves pizza for lunch. So we wouldn’t recommended the place for people traveling with children. It was not a relaxing area with children.

Hotel Orso Bruno exceeded our high expectations. It's location is brilliant, literally less than fifty metres in front of the small pier that the ferry boats pull into. The views over the lake from the restaurant are breathtaking. The staff are wonderful and could not do enough for us, Antonia even drove us down the lake to catch another ferry when the one that was due into Urio was unexpectedly cancelled due to an engine fault. We ate in their restaurant every night and the food was superb as were the staff, all of whom were very engaging, warm and professional. The hotel was very clean and our room had everything we needed including tea and coffee making facilities in our room which unfortunately many continental hotels do not provide. We would book Hotel Bruno again without hesitation and probably will do!

Stunning location on the water with outstanding views and exceptionally helpful staff. Rooms very good for the money, though not luxurious by any means. Tasty breakfast and very willing to accommodate dietary needs.

We loved the location but it is a very small village with limited facilities which might not suit some. Some essentials were lacking on arrival but were swiftly resolved when bought to their attention - they had simply been missed when preparing the room.

Nothing fancy here, small quaint hotel in a small quiet, pretty village on the left side of lake Como. Room was very spacious and clean. We had a nice sun terrace and views of the lake. The breakfast was very good and the bistro in the evening was also very good. Staff were most helpful. It was a very relaxed stay but nothing fancy. Great bar below hotel with lakeside terrace.

Bathroom could be upgraded but was clean

Orso Bruno is a small establishment so our rooms were on separate floors but easy to get to. This was just a stopover to break up a long drive home (with 2 kids in the car) so it fit the bill. The view of Lake Como was accessible to us (just across the road) and it was beautiful. You could catch a ferry ride from right next door! We weren't able to enjoy their restaurant as it was closed that day. Good parking that could accommodate our large car (with reservation in advance).

The reservations for both rooms were made at the same time. The 4 person room had breakfast included, but our room for 2 did not. We happily paid for it ... there was a good selection. Our grandkids are 10 and 4 and needed to expend some energy after being cooped up in the car; we ended up driving to find a playground.

The view from our room, the ease of check-in & out, the friendly helpful staff, close proximity to ferry point & excellent restaurant. I was not feeling well enough & missed my pre-paid breakfast, but hotel was kind enough to give me a refund.

Not the hotel's fault, but there's hardly a footpath even, for a decent stroll around the hotel, given that the hotel does not have a pool or gym

This was our first stop during a 3-week stay in Italy. Our room was clean and comfortable and had a very nice view of Lake Como. It is situated directly across the street from a ferry stop for convenient travel to other lake towns. The hotel provides a delicious, full breakfast buffet with many choices and will also make you fresh scrambled eggs. The eating area, which is very nice, overlooks the lake and is also a nightly restaurant that had excellent food. The owners, Antonia and Samuel, were on site, friendly, and very attentive. You can tell the pride in their attention to detail. We would definitely recommend this hotel.
