We really enjoyed our stay at the San Marino Hotel. The room was clean, the bathroom spacious, and we liked the decoration and comfortable beds. The staff were very friendly and always helpful, which made us feel welcome right away. Even though the hotel is not so close to the main attractions, we actually appreciated the quieter location. The food was tasty, and the view from the restaurant made our evenings even more special. We also enjoyed the clean pool, perfect for cooling off after a hot day. Another big plus was the bus stop right next to the hotel, which made using public transportation very convenient. Overall, we were impressed with this hotel and would definitely recommend it.

Wonderful Stay at Hotel San Marino We had a really pleasant stay at Hotel San Marino. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our visit, which made a big difference. The room was clean and comfortable, and everything we needed was easily available. I especially appreciated the breakfast—it was fresh, varied, and definitely worth the 10 euros. A great way to start the day! I would happily stay here again and recommend it to others looking for good value and warm hospitality.

There was no complimentary water provided in the room, which would have been a nice touch. Also, there was a small leak at the bottom of the shower glass, so water tended to spill onto the bathroom floor.

Location was good but you will need your own transport to get around. Free car parking at front of hotel. Breakfast was good with cooked eggs and bacon as well as cereals. Restaurant was good for evening meals overlooking the lake. Hosts were friendly and helpful. Been before and would stay again. Air con was great as it was very hot. Great view of lake from balcony.

A mini bar in the room would have been great. But that’s a little unfair as it wasn’t advertised.

The staff were really welcoming. The pool and outside area was lovely and had magnificent views of the lake. The hotel was a little dated but overall charming. We had a room with a view of the lake and it being on the road didn’t bother us. Our room had both a fan and AC, which was a god send due to the heatwave hitting Italy at the time. The hotel is on a bus route and the stop both ways is outside the hotel.

Most of the dislikes are outside of the hotels control - the mosquitos and the unreliable buses. The nearest largest supermarket that we found is located in Como proper but the bar is reasonably priced for water. The breakfast was a little basic but there was something available for each of our tastes. The restaurant has a limited menu.

It's a family run hotel and we liked the calm, practised efficiency of the staff. Some people would say it's a bit dated but it has a certain charm. The dining facilities make the most of the view with a choice of inside or outside depending on the weather. We ate there each night. A pleasant swimming pool. They don't serve lunches but there is a useful eatery next door.

There is a certain amount of noise from the road immediately outside. It didn't bother us much as there is good double-glazing but one of our party found it difficult to sleep. I guess it's the price (worth paying) you choose for having the lake view. One small thing - we had wedding clothes and paraphernalia and the storage/ hanging space in the room for them was a bit limited.

the location is amazingly convenient and it is certainly the best prioced quad room with a lake view in Como!!!! also it wasnt a sofa bed or a bunk it was 2 enormous double beds and a great sized bayjroom this is quite rare in Italy!!!! a pool is a great bonus also

restaurant is quite average but has a lovely lovely view which makes up for that!

we booked a lake view room and it was AMAZING the view was unbelievable for the price. the staff were friendly yet relaxed. the breakfast was delicious and the view from breakfast was beautiful. I loved the vintage feel of the hotel, there was some previous comments about the bathrooms in the reviews but I found our bathroom to be spacious and up to date

there were no dislikes for me however I love vintage and homey Italian feel for some this may not be the case. lots of stairs to get down to the lake and it is quiet noisey however I live in the city so it felt like home for me

Location is perfect at the lake, walking distance to restaurants, clean rooms, friendly staff.. good beds. Nice ro take a dip in the Pool. Price value is ok. It is a good hotel for a stay over to travel further

the shower was not so good. It was in the bathtub and to low for us, we had to bend down and it had a week stream. Further was the breakfast not very tastfull and not fresh. The bacon was not crisp, the food seemed mostly to come from the supermarket. Old bread instead bread of a bakery. No fresh Juice etc.

Spectacular views, beautiful room, nice pool area. Cute little dog who was hanging around the hotel, our kids loved it.

There was a living worm in our child's toast. She is so traumatised now that she will never eat toast again. The owner was not really sorry about it. At least she didn't charge for the toast which was thrown away.

The staff and the hotel were lovely. The rooms were very spacious and the facilities were fantastic. The hotel was clean and the food was lovely.

It's not that I didn't like it. It's just that I thought it was on the lake side, but it wasn't. I went by the pictures, and although we could see the lake, we weren't right at the side of it. It's quite a drive into Como, and there isn't much around and about the hotel. I'm just glad we had a car.
