Superb location, with view of Lake Como. The breakfast was included and offered a wide choice (continental breakfast), with homemade cakes. We also had lunch and dinner at the Baita and we could enjoy the local dishes. The room was comfortable and had a view of the Lake Como from a shared terrace. The staff has been very friendly and welcoming, available for any question we had. We would definitely go back :)

If you do not have experience with hairpin turn, you may want take your time to reach the location.

The restaurant serves delicious food, with a view overlooking Lake Como. The owners are very welcoming and there is free shaded parking. The rooms are perfectly clean and there is a huge, private (for hotel guests) terrace with sunbeds to lie, read a book or enjoy the view. Shared bathroom was very clean. It's quite an exciting narrow, winding drive up to the hotel - my boys loved it (me too, it's very scenic - but I was glad my husband was driving). Food: try the boar, the steak that comes out sizzling on a plate or the chocolate cake - so delicious. Breakfast was also nice. Almost want to give it a 9 for the experience, but it's just a little too dated and the shared bathroom holds me back from rating higher. We stopped here just one night on our way further south for our summer holiday but could have easily stayed a couple of nights longer. I'm trying to upload a photo of the view but it's not working - so you'll just have to trust me, it's amazing :)

I generally don't like shared bathrooms - who does - but this one was fine.

Baita carla ,( Cabin Carla ), rustic , beautiful , on the mountain with wonderful views of como and the alps , with an amazing twisty road up to it , if your looking for a genuine Italian Cabin feel , look no further , yes people could say its out dated , but , its lovely older feel and furniture is what we enjoyed , the family and staff were all extremely polite and very helpful , we had eaten before going up but the food looked lovely , every plate that was taken from a table was empty and it seemed that locals went there to eat aswell , which is always a good sign , it was clean , the shower was amazing , the mattress and pillows are so comfy wish we had stayed another night . Honestly it's difficult to complain , but maybe a few more choices in wine would be great . What's it !

The view is stunning and it is in such a quiet area that it makes for a great place to stay. I'd love to come back in winter. The little walking tracks around the area were lovely.

The staff were very friendly and did their best to manage with a foreigner that doesn't speak Italian. But their English is incredibly limited. We got by, but this was the only accommodation on our multi-week trip that this was an issue. Just a warning for travellers, I don't think everyone needs to speak my language in their own country.

After a harrowing trip up the mountain (a long, steep and narrow road) we arrived at this lovely hotel with the most amazing view. Friendly staff, spotless room and (shared) bathroom, and good food in the restaurant.

Do realize the road up the mountain is challenging. Both our family and two of our neighbours deceided NOT to go down again for a meal or a walk in Cono.

Baita Carla offers a captivating panorama of Como and its neighboring lakes. Our room granted direct access to a rooftop terrace, adorned with chairs and sunbeds, making the view even more splendid. The hotel's restaurant delighted us with delicious local cuisine and an impressive range of pizzas. Breakfast was equally satisfying. The serene surroundings ensured peaceful nights, contributing to a restful sleep. The availability of multiple bathrooms and showers on the floor eliminated any morning rush inconveniences. The tranquility of the area combined with thoughtful amenities made for a relaxing experience. Baita Carla exceeded our expectations, offering not only breathtaking vistas but also a comfortable stay. From the awe-inspiring views to the sumptuous meals and tranquil nights, our time here was truly enjoyable.

We were satisfied with everything.

The staff were understanding and catering. We were quite difficult guests (as we lost the key) but the staff helped us into our room and were unjudging. Also, when walking back to the air bnb, we were offered a ride to avoid the long walk. Couldn’t ask for a better experience.

Quite basic breakfast with poor coffee, cryptic English menu (unless you know local specialties), the drive to/from the hotel is quite tricky (especially at night).

Breakfast was great:) Secluded and beautiful. Very old I think. On weekends you can go there by mini bus, but on weekdays you have to use your feet:) Downwards is easier but upwards is tough.

All is fascinating, especially the view:) and the simplicity and the cleanliness, thank you. However I think that on weekends there are many people and it can become crowded and noisy.

It’s just a great place where multiple trails start. Its not super luxury, but it’s great for what it is. Great huge room terrace, though shared but it’s ~ 100m2. The photo attached is from that terrace.
