A lovely and cozy room with a breathtaking view of the lake and mountains. Everything was clean, neat, and very comfortable. Special thanks to the host — warm and attentive. We arrived early and left our suitcases before check-in, and she later brought them up to the room herself — such a thoughtful gesture. The hairdryer in the bathroom was a small but very appreciated detail. And two pillows per person — a rare treat that I personally value a lot. The hotel is located high up, right next to the funicular, which means we had an absolutely stunning view from our balcony. And upon check-out — a small gift that was unexpected and very touching. Definitely a solid 5 out of 5. Bellissimo!

Our stay at this hotel was truly delightful! From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcome, largely thanks to the wonderful hostess, Chiara. She was so kind and made us feel right at home, even gifting us a lovely bottle of prosecco – a truly thoughtful touch! The location of the hotel is also fantastic, being incredibly close to the cable car, which made exploring the area super convenient. And the view from our room was absolutely amazing. We highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a warm welcome, a great location, and breathtaking views.

Nice family run business with lots of heart❤️When we finally got to the hotel, it literally took our breath away. The view from the balcony is just amazing!! The rooms were a little small, but cosy and very clean.Also,the bedding and towels were superb. This is the place to stay near Como if you want to be away from the crowds, but still have stunning views.

It’s not the end of the world, but it can be a pain when you find yourself in a hotel room without any coat hangers to keep your clothes wrinkle-free.The receptionist Chiara was really helpful and knowledgeable.She gave us lots of information and great recommendations.She promised us to solve this problem,but she didn't.

We liked absolutely everything about Hotel Vista Lago! Amazing hosts, spectacular views and super comfortable rooms, spotlessly cleaned! Hotel Vista Lago was the best accommodation choice we made on our trip to the lake, we highly recommend this property to visitors they are looking for a place to enjoy and relax at the same time! The Breakfast, it was in buffet style, very tasty with a good selection of food! As for the staff, they were so kind and attentive! They couldn't do more to satisfy our requests! They even gave us a bottle of wine as a gift the departure day!!! I thank them a lot! You are just amazing! We are definitely coming back!

Great location, 5 minutes walk from the Funiculare from Como and striking viewes over the lake. Originally booked a mountain view room but the lovely hostess upgraded us to a lake view one. Chiara was also the loveliest host we met all our trip, very friendly and helpful. The room had a small balcony but also a terrace with lounge chairs, which we unfortunately did not get to enjoy, as it got very foggy when we arrived (early October). We also took the pathway to Faro Voltiano, about 20 minutes walk from the Hotel, and enjoyed the misty look of Brunate, even if the viewes were obstructed by the fog.

There was no way to control the room temperature. When we arrived in the evening the room got warm and cozy, but in the morning it was chilly. Not cold by any means, but not as pleasant.

The staff at this hotel were helpful and kind. We were five adults in one family traveling together. We had adjoining rooms with a queen bed in one room and three singles in another room. The rooms were very clean and had good air conditioning. One room had a little balcony. Both rooms had a view over a road and, in the distance, we could see Lake Como. It was charming. We stayed for breakfast and were very pleased with the choices. Finally, one member of our group had some problems walking. There was an elevator that made it possible to avoid stairs.

We traveled by boat from Varenna to Como. We then took the funicular up to the hotel. The walk to the hotel was not long, but it was steep and uphill. This was our favorite hotel for the entire trip, so this is merely an observation and not a complaint.

We were please to stay at the hotel with 2 separate rooms connected together. Nice view, friendly staff, bottle of prosecco as the present, in general it was comfort and thank you for all.

Breakfast is not so rich so it is ok but could be better. Also we want to warn everybody who wants to with funicular as we did (because we didn't find the way for car) - during weekend it could be so crowded by tourists so you will leave couple of hours just to buy tickets. So if you will go like this could be a big trouble to go up and down.

The location is fantastic - it's the perfect place to stay if you want to get out of busy Como and have a more quiet experience of the Lago di Como. You can walk around the old villas of Brunate, visit the panorama points or hike up the hill. The staff of Vista Lago were super kind. I was travelling alone and they made me feel very welcome! I asked if I could stay another night, and this was possible (in another room). My first room had a big terrace and a view of the church, and the second room had a balcony with view of the lake. Both were nice and comfy, and both views were lovely. The whole experience felt quite authentic, yet very safe and comfortable for (solo) tourists.

We have been served by extremely kind and helpful lady. She deserves a raise. Very prompt and professional, by far the best hospitality service we ever encountered. The breakfast has all you need and we appreciated being allowed to serve it directly on our balcony. The quality of the coffee was great!! The view was even better than the photos. Amazing sunset view and wonderful pink sunrise too. Really comfortable bed and pillows. The hotel is in a great location, just minutes away from a bistro bar with lake view(Capolinea) and also from the funicular to Como, which was operating until midnight. We had great parking too, considering the narrow streets of the village.

Chiara was super helpful, she is amazing and super kind and was always making sure we were comfortable and ready to help. Mariana also made our stay amazing, she welcomed us and explained everything thoroughly. Breakfast was generous in quantity and quality. The rooms were comfortable, spacious, clean, and with an amazing view. The town gets extremely silent at night which is always nice.

Unfortunately heating was not working properly and even though they tried to help us fix it we spend a couple of cold nights. Hot water from the shower tends to run out if you shower in the morning.
