The location is AMAZING. It can be a bit of a hike to get to, but it is well worth the trek. The hotel is right next to the lighthouse lookout and there is a walking trail that leads further up the mountain for more breathtaking views. There is even a playground nearby, which was very helpful for my 6 year old. The restaurant has great food.

We did have some issues with water escaping the shower onto the floor, and the hot water and pressure would give out randomly. We could have just been using water at a high-usage time. My only other criticism is that the breakfast menu was fairly limited to eggs and yogurt; however, everything was delicious.

We had an amazing stay. We were warmly welcomed by Magda, probably the friendliest receptionist we have ever met, who gave us a free upgrade of the room and helped us at the Spa. Thanks! The room was cozy and super dark at night which is perfect for sleeping. The lake view was insane. The heated pool and the breakfast were also amazing.

The staff at the restaurant was slow and not attentive, but maybe because they were too busy. The location was not easy to reach by car, but it was indeed worth it.

The view: get a room facing the lake. That alone, more than pays for the stay. It is not called Paradiso by pure chance. The infinity heated pool and the sauna are a most welcome touch after a long trip. And what a trip: to get to the hotel, you take a narrow windy road fit for a bicycle. But, you are in car...and so is the other guy coming down. This is the stuff that forges memories ;-) one does not access Paradise, without a transit through Purgatory. The restaurant and bar, with the aforementioned view, are also noteworthy

The hotel is small and thus not crowded and has a perfect view over Como Lake - from the sun terrace, pool and jacuzzi as well as from half of the rooms and the bistro. The rooms are modern, stylish and impeccably clean. They also serve decent breakfast and great coffee. So if you wish to enjoy Como views comfortably, without the hustle and bustle, that’s a place to go.

There is no air conditioning, but this is an issue only in case of an extreme heatwave (which sadly was our case). It should be fine in normal air conditions as they are in the mountains where it is cooler than down by the lake. Also, if you do not choose the lake view room, you are not likely to open the window at all as it faces the street where the Volta lighthouse visitors park.

My stay at Hotel Paradiso Como was nothing short of magical – the name says it all. Here’s why: 📍 Location & Views The view is simply breathtaking. Peaceful, serene, and never overcrowded. 🍽️ Breakfast with a View Breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented, served on a terrace overlooking the lake. A cappuccino with that view? Heaven. 🛏️ Room & Tranquility The room was simple, clean, and had everything I needed. Most importantly – total peace and quiet. Just nature and birdsong. 🚗 Getting There Yes, the road up is a bit winding and adventurous – but absolutely worth it. Once you’re up there, you’ll never want to leave.

The food at the restaurant was both delicious and well-prepared, adding to the overall experience. Additionally, the hotel's staff were incredibly kind and attentive, ensuring that every need was met with care and professionalism, making the stay even more enjoyable.

The road from Como to the hotel felt like an adventure, with its narrow, winding path that at times barely had enough space for two cars to pass. The room could benefit from air conditioning, as it got quite hot during the night. Although there was a fan, it made a bit of noise, which was less than ideal for a restful sleep. Additionally, the blind on the window didn’t fully block out the light in the morning, which made it a bit difficult to sleep in past sunrise.

My partner and I had the pleasure of spending our baby moon at this charming hotel atop a hill with breathtaking views of Lake Como. The hotel offers stunning views of the lake below, making it the perfect escape for anyone looking for tranquility and natural beauty. Don’t let the fact that it sits on top of the hill deter you! We had no car or vespa, and were thus reliant on bus transfers (the cable car/train thingy was out of order). Transfers up and down the hill were quick and easy and all of it was sorted by the hotel staff. Throughout, the staff was lovely, offering great hospitality. We also enjoyed meals at the hotel’s restaurant. The food was authentic and delicious, and I would recommend everyone to get their signature pistachio pasta. I even brought pistachios back home to try and recreate it! And to anyone thinking about going to Milan - I would recommend a few nights in Lake Como to get the best of both worlds - tranquility and nature in Lake Como, and the pulse of Milan.

The view from here is stunning. We were surprised the pool was open in march, water had 25degrees. It was worth to get in for beautiful pictures. Food at the restaurant was very good. Thank you for all the nice services, all the staff is really nice. We liked our room with the lake view, bed was comfortable. We got a take out breakfast because our flight back was early in the morning. Wish we would come back one day in May when the flowers bloom.

Sauna didn't work for two days we were there because something broke and they couldn't repair it. If you want to use jacuzzi after 20:00 you have to pay. We didn't had a chance to use it much, it was always occupied. I just went in for awhile with other people and it was awkward. My husband didn't want to use it at all. We paid for parking near the hotel 5euro for two nights. Road uphill and downhill with a car was really scary. It's very narrow and vehicles coming from the other side have difficulties to pass each other. It's a really long way going round and round and you wonder when it's going to end at some point.

Very good hotel with amiable and helpful staff, and the view is just amazing!!! Unfortunately the pool was closed because of the weather conditions. But even with the rain the sauna and jacuzzi were functioning , what is great !! Good food in the restaurant. The furniture is great, very high quality wood.

1)why jacuzzi only until 19:30? Make please at least 21:00 2) If you don’t have a car it is not easy to get there , I advise that you order the transfer from the funicular station to the hotel (or you can walk 30 minutes up to the top if you are in good physical shape)

Staying at Hotel Paradiso was an absolute delight! While the journey to the hotel is a bit challenging due to its location high up on a hill, it’s entirely worth it for the breathtaking views and serene atmosphere. I’d definitely recommend renting a car to make the trip more convenient. Despite being a 3-star hotel, it exceeded all our expectations. Every single staff member we met went above and beyond to make us feel at home. They were so helpful, welcoming, and always had a smile on their faces – truly a highlight of our stay! The hotel itself is incredibly cozy, with thoughtful touches like rose petals in the room upon arrival and all the necessary toiletries, including a hairdryer. The cleanliness was impeccable, and the little gift at checkout was such a sweet gesture. A big shoutout to the entire team for their exceptional hospitality!
