The property was very clean, quiet and conveniently located in the Old City area of Como, within walking distance to restaurants, shops and the harbor and without luggage also walking distance to the train station. Staff is polite and professional. I would have appreciated if a staff member had reached out to us upon arrival to see if we needed any assistance with dinner recommendations and day tours/things to do. The hotel restaurant was nice and I felt it was worth the additional cost of the breakfast option, though the buffet items were not easily accessible, but to order items were a good selection and quality (amazing pancakes). Rooms were nicely decorated, but lacking in storage space. I do feel that given the limited amenities, small room size and non-view location of the property that nightly rates were a bit excessive, but overall a nice property and stay for myself and my adult daughter.

I had an outstanding stay at Avenue Hotel in Como. Everything from the moment I arrived was perfect. The staff were warm, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure my comfort. My room was spotless,making it a peaceful retreat after a day exploring Como. The location is ideal—close to key attractions yet wonderfully quiet. Breakfast was delicious with a great variety of fresh options to start the day right. Every detail, from cleanliness to service, was impeccable. I highly recommend Avenue Hotel to anyone visiting Como. It truly exceeded my expectations, and I look forward to returning!

Great location, very delicious breakfast and good service team. We enjoyed this beautiful hotel 7 days and were very happy with our stay because of very nice atmosphere and super friendly staff. The property was in a perfect location. Just close enough to the main piazza but just far enough to be away from the crowds and noise. The rooms were extremely comfortable and the bathrooms had abundant amenities. There was a great shower too; powerful and hot! While we did not eat in the restaurant, we did thoroughly enjoy the food at breakfast. There were numerous delicious choices and the food was plentiful! We could barely finish! We loved the outdoor restaurant too! That where we had cocktails and an afternoon pizza. Excellent! Lastly, the staff was outstanding. They could not have done more to try to make our stay as enjoyable as possible! They were warm and welcoming in typical Italian style. We’d like to give a big shout out to Valentina! She literally made us feel like family! We highly recommend this property! We will return!!

Perfect location right in the middle of the city. Because of its excellent location access by car is difficult via pedestrian streets. Parking is a 600 yard walk away and costs 25€ per day , we found this a little inconvenient. The hotel is spotlessly clean. The hotel is in an ancient building renovated to the highest standard, the rooms are individual and well designed with every amenity. The window in our room was small so the room was dark. I did check out other rooms and in some they only had ceiling windows. Breakfast is probably the best that I have enjoyed anywhere. A selection of cooked to order and buffet items served by friendly staff either inside or outside on a heated terrace. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. We loved the place and are looking forward to revisiting in the near future.

Lovely small hotel, in a great location..... perfect for our long weekend.The rooms were serviced every day and kept spotlessly clean.They offer private taxi transfers and private lake boat exploration trips, which were very informative. Above all, the staff were amazing. From reception to restaurant and all aspects of the hotel. It was a pleasure to watch them working as a team. A very efficient team, thank you to you all

Really good hotel and an amazing breakfast! We had high expectations for the breakfast but to be honest we where blown away by it. The rooms where located in on street level which isn't optimal (we did a late booking) but it was calm, tidy and of good standard. Overall a really good hotel with excellent service and good location in the city.

The only thing was a little funky smell from the drain but it can originate from the heatwave that time.

The hotel was adorable. We arrived very late at night, even later than expected but they were still waiting for us (a group of 7, 4 separate rooms) and checked us in very efficiently. Although breakfast was not included, they had what we decided was a wonderful buffet breakfast for a very reasonable price of 14 Euro, including as much delicious coffee, prepared exactly as you like, fresh squeezed juice and prosecco. The service was always with a smile and anything that was missing or needed to be refilled, was done so as soon as possible. The weather was nice enough to eat outside and they didn't mind that we rearranged the tables to seat 13 people. They are connected to a restaurant up the street, and offer a discount for lunch and dinner as hotel guests. LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!!! In addition to being on a very quiet street, the hotel is so centrally located. It is within meters of fabulous shopping, a short walk to the Duomo, the Ferry Port, the bus station and one of the train stations, even a walkable distance with suitcases to the more distant train station. Numerous restaurants, bars, coffee shops and most importantly GELATO, a short, safe walk, even at night. Would definitely return. Our room had a semi-private terrace attached, which we used to sit with family in the evening.

Our room could have been a tiny bit larger, with more storage room to unpack our suitcases. The shower needed either a curtain or door to prevent the water from getting the rest of the bathroom floor very wet. It was dried and cleaned each morning, but I am sure there is a way to prevent it.

The hotel is in a very cozy spot and very comfortable inside. Carry small pieces of luggage as you need to walk through small lanes to get there. A small Carrefour is not too far away if you are looking for a store. The cold buffet breakfast has limited items but go for the warm options that you have to order - its absolutely fresh and really delicious. The best part of the hotel has to be their staff (desk/kitchen/housekeeping) who are one of the friendliest I have ever encountered. That goes a long way in brightening one's stay! The one thing that was a bit uncomfortable for my family was the glass door to the bathrooms. I think this can be easily rectified if the hotel can use window films that can be stuck on the glass. Snoring from the neighbouring room was audible through the night but we decided to let it be and didn't inform the staff.

The room (4) appeared large due to a very clever fitout. This enabled the room to be much more functional with everything that you need and a good use of space. The wallpaper designs gave the room a very edgy feel. However not all rooms are as good as this one.

It was very difficult for us (both over 70 Yrs) to access the hotel from the station, especially with heavy suitcases The taxis refused to take passengers who had just arrived and told us they were drop off only. We ended up walking in the intense heat to the hotel. We suggest the hotel could let guests know and perhaps arrange a shuttle service, especially as vehicle access is not available.
