Location, set back but very near the Lake in a great little Square of shops and Hotels. It is also very convenient for the train station with buses. The Breakfast choice was excellent and the staff were respectful. The sheets on the Bed were very very clean and good quality. I used this Hotel upon arrival in Como before going up the Lake for a 10 day stay and again on my return. It was a great stopover that made my journey pleasant and convenient. Thank you to all the Staff

I would have enjoyed tea facilities in the room, but with all those Coffee shops around!

The hotel staff were excellent, arranging a private airport transfer in advance of our stay, which was a great convenience. The hotel is situated near the front in a lively, vibrant square.

The beds were comfortable, though the pillows were quite flat and could benefit from more support. Although it was lovely staying in a popular location, at night, the square remains bustling with diners, and the noise—chatter, clinking plates—can carry on into the early hours. If you're sensitive to background noise while sleeping, you may prefer a quieter hotel location.

The location, the staff, my room and the quality of breakfast. I got a gluten free one especially ordered and it was truly amazing! The air conditioning was divine as it was really hot with a peak of 33 degrees Celcius. I was really happy with my stay, though the actual ground space of the hotel is very minimal (reception and breakfast room) it was definitely enough!

I don't know why but I didn't know breakfast was charged 15 euros because I though it came with my room at the price I paid for, after a reviewer said "free breakfast," which isn't true, it can be an "including breakfast" hotel price which is then pre-paid. This little mix up set me back, but the staff were polite at all times. Thank you!

Location, location, location! I have to admit, I was a bit worried about booking a hotel in Como instead of Varenna or Bellagio, thinking those were the main spots people visit Lake Como for. But at the same time, I wanted to be somewhere central, with easy access to taxis, food, and everything around me. Wow! Not only was I surrounded by amazing shops, but the plaza in front of the hotel was absolutely magical—such a great vibe and energy! There were fantastic restaurants, gelato spots, souvenir shops, and it was just a short walk to the ferry. The hotel itself was beautiful and spotless, with a refrigerator stocked with complimentary still and sparkling water at all times. The staff was top-notch, including the lovely lady who took care of our room—she was so sweet and helpful! If you’re hesitating, just go ahead and book it—you won’t regret it!

You can not beat this location!! I knew other reviews had mentioned it was a great location but I can't stress enough just how conveniently located the hotel is. Since it was just me and for one night, I got a tiny room, and it was all I needed. It's a block from Lake Como and about a million shops and restaurants. After landing very jet lagged from an overnight flight, it was an easy trip from the airport. The hotel arranged the driver for me and he was EXCELLENT. I am so glad I let them handle it. It was such a lovely courtyard area with the shops and restaurants and super convenient to walk right out the door and get dinner and even have some excellent gelato at Martesana and then a cappuccino in the morning. Highly recommend.

It was pretty hot out (80F) and the AC wasn't really putting out air, but I opened the windows and it was fine. Europe has very different AC standards than the US, I know.

Don’t let the three stars fool you, it was a five star experience! We have stayed in Rome, Florence, and Venice before coming to Como but this hotel was the winner thus far! Albergo Firenze is situated in Piazza Alessandro Volta (that Alessandro Volta, there’s even a big status of him), five minutes walk from Lake Como and surrounded by some amazing bars and restaurants. I recommend Krudo- really delicious food, excellent whisky list and very good prices Back to the hotel- it is clean, comfortable beds, big shower and has heating/cooling. Views from the window are incredible. Breakfast is incredible- there is even a staff member to make coffee for you! The food was excellent, plentiful and the restaurant area was peaceful and picturesque. Just like Como We plan to come back to Como next year (hopefully) and will definitely be booking here!

We didn’t stay long enough!

The hotel room was very clean, comfortable, and spacious. The hotel was just a 10-minute walk from Como San Giovanni train station and located very centrally in Como - it was just a short walk to the ferry terminal to catch the ferry to visit the towns around Lake Como. The hotel provided free drinking water too which was a bonus!

The hotel is a little pricier for the Como area, but it's worth it for the convenience to explore Como and the towns around Lake Como via ferry!

Location was very convenient to the ferry and tons of shopping, restaurants etc. our room overlooked the square in the front which was very busy until the early hours of the morning. Bonus for us that it wasn’t that hot so we closed the windows and 95% of the noise was blocked out. I can see though if it’s hot, and the a/c is not available this would be a problem for sleeping. Other than that everything was great. We didn’t have the breakfast so I can’t comment on that.

The hallways and carpet look a bit shabby but the rooms are clean and nice.

Excellent location in a pedestrian plaza zone within walking distance to both train stations & all other attractions. Lovely looking building, nice clean room, perfect for me staying 5 nights (friends had other rooms). There were a variety of rooms, different sizes etc. Very friendly & helpful staff both in reception & in the dining area at breakfast time.

Very minor issues which didn’t spoil the experience: Apparently it could be a little noisy at nighttime with the rooms overlooking the plazza area. My room overlooked courtyard & there was little natural daylight, however I did manage to open the shutter! Plus was out all day so no big deal really.

Everything went well. The room was spacious, the bed comfortable, the hotel offered an array of tv channels in different languages, the TV was new, the room was clean and even if it was an interior-facing room, the view was not bad at all. There was no noise at night and the hotel staff were very kind. The hotel offers an airport taxi. The driver was very kind and we got there in no time.

The only downside but it is as minor as a micron is that the shower sliding doors did not actually shut well and some water came out while taking a shower. This was in room 230.
