I cannot overstate the professionalism, care, and consideration of all the staff working there. Effortlessly adapting to language and cultural needs, they went far beyond expectations to ensure the stay was highly enjoyable for my daughters and me. Thank you, Grazie, Danke, to all those in front of house and behind the scenes who made our stay such a joy.

There were two school groups of teenagers staying for the week as we were there. Sadly, one boy spat in the pool while my children were swimming. Little to no disciplinary action was taken by the teaching staff and the boy insisted I was lying. That put a complete dampner on the stay. On a brighter note, the pother group were a real joy to be around, which I acknowledged with their teaching staff.

+ really friendly staff, spoke lots of different languages, they also gave good travel recommendations :) + it was possible to use the kitchen (18:00-21:00) to prepare dinner or a picknick + good connected by public transport (bus 5 leaves every 10 mins) + good way of communication of the important information in advance and during the stay with material in different languages + absolutely clean and tidy, the room was cleaned up every day + nice rooms (I stayed in a shared room for 6 women and we all were really happy about the wonderful room, that extended over two floors and was really cosy), big lockers, good quality of beds and linen + well equipped with hairdryer etc + nice surroundings, there is also a garden with hens, a swimming pool and a barbecue area + cosy common areas for eating, reading, getting in contact with other people + eco-friendly concept + good start to get in contact with other travellers :)

- breakfast costs 12fr (I considered that quite expensive, but maybe all in all okay for having a well-sorted breakfast in switzerland)

Mike, who welcomed us at the reception, was very friendly. He was very helpful and made sure to greet us with a warm smile. We were able to speak with him in both German and English, and he mentioned he knows two more languages as well. The hotel was very quiet and peaceful, surrounded by nature. The beds were comfortable, and the sheets were clean. Thanks to the free city public transport ticket provided by the hostel, its location on a hill didn’t cause any issues.

The front part of the hairdryer seemed melted. After using it for a short time, there was a burning smell, so we were afraid to continue using it. Additionally, I couldn’t find any bathroom slippers in the room. I was too tired to go down to the reception and ask if they had slippers, but I would have been happier if they were already provided in the room.

Really helpful staff on reception who spoke excellent English. Pool and garden area were lovely especially given that we stayed during the hottest part of the year. Hostel was clean with lots of helpful information displayed about local area. We stayed in the dormitory room as a family of 5 having booked it for exclusive use which worked out well. Easy bus links into town and 3 supermarkets within walking distance.

Rooms have locked air conditioning so got VERY hot at night making it quite uncomfortable. Youth Hostel was supposed to be non-smoking but number of guests smoking in garden area close to communal kitchen wasn’t nice…

Brilliant youth hostel for families with loads of great things to do in their outdoor space, including beach volleyball, bowls, trampoline, play area, and of course the swimming pool! The kitchen facilities were nice, as was the common room and there are a few vending machines. The four-bed family bedrooms are perfectly adequate. Easily accessible by bus from central Lugano. Overall highly recommended for young families in particular.

A great value for money in Switzerland. A nice location with garden and pool. Veraity of room types. The bathrooms were clean and overall the Hostel has a nice, quite and safe vibe.

Could be nice to have access to boiling water thought the day. I've asked the reception and got a cup, but could be nice just to have it available all the time. There is a kitchen at another building but it costs 5CHF. The WiFi reception can be somewhat better. But wasn't too bad.

Staying at this hostel was a truly pleasant experience! Cozy rooms, excellent service, and a comfortable atmosphere. The hostel staff deserves special praise-they are attentive, friendly, and always ready to make guests' stay as enjoyable as possible. The garden is also remarkable: well-maintained, lush, and perfect for relaxation. A wonderful place to unwind and enjoy nature!

- good connection with the center by public transport - friendly stuff, they speak fluently any languages you may want here - very clean bathroom and toilets - you can use the kitchen apart of breakfast time. They still allowed me to have some hot water during breakfast - nice pool

- quite far to go by foot from the center - you have to pay additional 9 CHF, if you're not a member of the youth hostel organization

The pool is amazing and completely worth the detour. It's located a bit outside of the city center but extremely accessible with public transportation, a direct tram line. The hostel has a family vibe. Rooms are clean. Evert bed in the shared room has plugs and small lights to read at night and charge your phone. Clean.

The use of the kitchen was 5 chf a day. But besides that, everything was perfect.

Wonderful place with a swimming-pool and a beautiful garden. Very friendly staff. I was in dormitory, it was clean and comfortable, with storages and airco. Located at 10 min by bus from the center, with frequent buses.

The kitchen could be more welcoming.
