Hotel was located a couple blocks from the shore and right next to the old town area. Everyone who we encountered who worked there was so nice and helpful. It's an older hotel but the level of cleanliness was nothing short of amazing. Has a lift.

Parking could be a challenge. We lucked out with the limited on site parking. I believe there are nearby garages they work with to address that. If you leave your window open on a weekend, you're likely to hear late night revelers on the street. Bring your own bottled water as there wasn't any available in the room which would have been nice. Hardly a dealbreaker, however.

I highly recommend this place for solo travelers. The single room was clean and comfortable, and I really liked the blue walls and tiles. The hotel also honored my request for a room on the top floor, which had a small balcony with a view of the rooftops and distant mountains. The location is super convenient—there’s a bus that goes straight from the train station and stops right at the hotel entrance. Right outside, there’s a square with public art, and if you walk a little further, you’ll reach the lakeside, perfect for a relaxing stroll. I arrived on a Sunday when there was a fun lakeside event, with people enjoying music, drinks, and swimming. While the supermarkets were closed, the hotel staff were really helpful and directed me to a nearby gas station shop where I could grab some food and drinks.

Great central location near the lake. Very clean room, friendly staff, daily housekeeping.

It may have been because we stayed over Easter weekend, but we had a room facing towards the lake overlooking the road and several bars and the noise from the bars was exceptionally loud and went on into the early hours (both loud music and people screaming and shouting). It was difficult to get to sleep every night - we needed both the window open and fan on to keep the room cool.

The location is neraby the lugano lake, just 5 minutes walking. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel, so its easy to reach from lugano train station. The bus station to other city is only 10 minutes walking. Love the breakfast. I have dinner in their restaurant twice while staying, and its so good. The waitress help me to choose perfect menu. the staff is nice and caring.

The room is noisy, you can hear someone cough beside your room. I think the wall is super thin

Great location. Very friendly and helpful staff who really helped us get the most out of our stay in Lugano. Manuela in particular has the best recommendations for Lidos to visit and a boat trip on the lake. The hotel also made sure we knew about the firework display for Swiss Day. The breakfast was very reasonable. Beds were comfortable. Everything spotlessly clean. We chose to extend our stay by a night and I would definitely stay there again.

Rooms were functional rather than pretty.

The location. It’s walkable to the lake, the shopping areas, with busses passing in front of the hotel. The rooms were clean and roomy with a balcony that is high-up that you see the whole town and mountains and are beautiful at night. Bathroom is clean. Breakfast in the morning is typical of the area but the fresh coffee is good, shout-out to Claudio, he is a gem and very attentive.

Heated towel rack would be a bonus, otherwise none.

Booking a "modernised" room I was hoping to get a room at the back of the hotel and this worked, resulting in a very quiet room. The restaurant offered great options both in quality and price for dinner. The bus stop right outside the door is excellent for those using public transport. Also because the hotel gifts you the Ticino Card which includes free public transport throughout the Canton and various other tourist perks.

Hotel location is perfect, you can reach parc ciani and lake in a minute. Otel personel are very friendly, they are ready to explain every question.

Reception area decoration is really to bad. There is nearly nothing in reception. Price is high when you compare with room size and room facility. There is no daily free water or tea bag in the room.

(I accidentally confused this hotel with the one where we stayed In Lucerne, so some of my comments on that hotel should have applied here). Both women at the front desk were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant provided gluten-free options for my wife at the buffet breakfast (upon request…the woman who checked us in said that was necessary because if they just put gluten-free items out on the buffet, everyone ate them and left nothing for the people who needed them)! One other plus was that our room was ready early, giving us immediate access to the room. The location was very convenient for walking to shops and restaurants and there was a bus stop right outside the hotel. We also made use of the laundry service which was very prompt and reasonably priced…unlike most hotel laundry services.

Only complaint I have is that reception advised me that key has to be left in reception when ever I go out. Fine with me but I was no happy about night person coming knocking every door close to 10 pm telling about this. It was ridiculous and disturbing.
