This was the base for a longer stay including a planned trip to Milan. The Suite is situated a little way from the main hotel reception so that arrangements for getting keys, and so on, are a little unusual. (Breakfast is served in the main hotel building also: straightforward, absolutely standard continental breakfast: noting to write home about, but nothing to complain about either. Perfectly satisfactory.) There had been an issue with the hotel taking card-payment before we arrived (a computer glitch) while we were en-route by rail through the Alps, but receptionist Ivy was able to deal with the matter most efficiently. Thank you! (It is important to be able to access data and internet while travelling: but that is one's own responsibility!) All the hotel staff were welcoming and helpful. The room, itself, was perfectly comfortable: it even had a little kitchenette! as well as the usual offer. With access vial a lift, the apartment was spick and span and perfectly secure. The old town is on the doorstep and a few yards from the lake and the heavenly church of Santa Maria degli Angeli. (Not to be missed on any account.) As the main railway station is - literally - 10 minutes walk, plus short funicular ride this made the ideal base for all sorts of excursions. We has Swiss Travel Passes for the entire duration of the holiday (it is worth the money), so were in and out of boats and trains all the time, Including a trip to Bellinzona. Milan is a short train-ride from Lugano too.

I was worried beforehand about registration and picking up keys, but it worked beautifully in the end. The room might be a little dark for some, but given the heat and brightness of the day, I found it quite OK.

Great location in Lugano along the strip where a lot of the shops are. Very short walk to the lake and the room was spacious with all the facilities required. Check in and check out was very simple and they even assisted me with getting up to the train station. Overall a good experience.

Due to the city being very tightly built together the adjacent buildings are very close to you and not a lot of natural sunlight comes in during the day.

Great location in the middle of Via Nassa a few steps from the lake. Near shops, restaurants.and the train and buses. Very clean.

You may get some noise from the street which may be an issue with light sleepers. The beds are on the tough side.

It was close to the parking and next to the river. Accessibility to the train and bus was easy and multiple food options.

The security could have been made better by blocking elevator access by a code as this was in middle of shopping district.

The guys at check in and checkout were extremely friendly and spoke good English. The apt is on the Main Street and that was a surprise for me. I was walking everywhere without depending on cabs and so.

Nothing that I could remember…

Location was great - right in the main town and only a block back from the water. Lots of restaurants and a great Coop in close proximity. Great air conditioning. Lots of toiletries provided. Minibar if you wanted it.

The room was a bit dark even with the skylight open. Would probably have been nicer to be in the main hotel but we did have the floor to our room. It seemed to be an overflow accommodation area.

Comfortable and nice hotel stay . The hotel is near to the lake and town centre. Staff is very helpful and friendly.

The rooms are clean and well furnished. The wall / room colour is a bit too dark.

The apartment is in a great location. The check in process was easy and the staff were very helpful.

The apartment has a small kitchen however is lacking basic cooking utensils to make it useable.

Excellent location. The bed was comfortable. The staff was great and they were willing to help with every question we had. Also, I appreciated how friendly they were with the kids.

The elevator is a bit tight but that's not a big issue.
