We stayed here for a special occasion. The view from our room (superior suite) was beautiful, and it was an extra luxury to have two balconies. The staff were generally very friendly and welcoming. It is only a short walk along the lake to the centre of Lugano from the hotel. We enjoyed returning from our day out to the staff playing piano in the restaurant. Breakfast was also very nice. We stayed for a long weekend but would have loved to have stayed longer! We would visit this hotel again.

The mini bar fridge was very dirty. On one day it rained heavily- the flimsy roof of the breakfast room was held up with wooden sticks at one end of the room, and after a while started leaking. The staff were busy keeping the floor dry- their work was appreciated, but it wasn’t nice to have people mopping the floor while we were eating breakfast. Of course you can’t change the weather but you can change the roof. We had to ask for the Ticino guest card, which we only knew about because we live in Switzerland. I can imagine many guests miss out on this benefit.

booked the last room available, junior suit and very happy to stay in it with an excellent view on the lake, mountains and on the calm corner where is no any noise and renovation works. very clean hotel. excellent stuff ready to help you any time! very friendly and polite reception stuff! honestly happy indeed to stay there and enjoyed each minute being inside the hotel. breakfast nice , stuff in the restaurant is very polite ready to make you coffee each minute! hotel is in a very comfortable position, bus station is near, walking on foot also is a pleasant deal. along the lake... super!

Good location on the waterfront, check in was pretty efficient, staff were friendly and helped us with directions. Room was clean and tidy with good facilities, and a nice bathroom. Balcony had a nice view and a couple of chairs, although a small table would have been a nice idea. Plenty of restaurants and bars nearby, quite a low key area but had a nice atmosphere about it, with lots of locals out and about until late in the evening. Great connection via the ferries right on the doorstep and a 5 minute walk to the Funicolare Monte San Salvatore and the fantastic views from the top. Lots of lovely walks along the lake with bars and cafe's along the way.

Parking was a bit of a nightmare, but it's an older hotel so there is a car park next door, and it can take time to get your car in and out of the car park.

It’s right on the lake and the views are amazing! Staff were very friendly and attentive.

The bed. We spent extra from our budget to stay in a suite (with incredible view) and so were very disappointed to find the bed was extremely uncomfortable. It was hard and you could feel the springs through the mattress. I ended up sleeping on the sofa bed in the room.

The view from our balcony onto Lake Lugano was amazing! This is a stunning hotel! Beautiful room, spacious & tastefully decorated. Spacious bathroom - with big windows for ventalation Amazing breakfast! Nice pool area. The staff were so kind, friendly & helpful. Nothing was too much to ask. The bus stop just outside of the hotel helped a lot, getting us to the Paradiso train station & back. (We didn't know this at first & arrived at Lugano station, taking bus #2 and had to walk quite a distance with our luggage to get to the hotel) Tip: Travel on to Paradiso station & take bus #1

The main street just outside is exceptionally busy and noisy - but it forms part of the Lugano vibe. The balconies are very close to 1 another. I was on the phone 1 evening, telling my family back in SA about our day and my lady-neighbour actually chirped me for talking too much - yet she and her husband had endless conversations on the balcony till late in the evening. He also smoked and that smell came into our room, so when they were outside we had to keep our doors closed.

A fantastic location on the shores of Lake Lugano, and a classic hotel. Staff was somewhat friendly, parking was appreciated and a little difficult to access but it worked out. We stopped in front of the hotel to drop off our luggage and check-in, then the bellman went with us to show us where to park. Parking is very limited, in a separate secure parking garage. The room was nicely appointed and clean. Two balconies, facing the lake, one very large one. A great location on the lake right near the ferry station. Breakfast was very good. Cappuccinos, lattes and Americano coffee were okay and appreciated. Definitely recommended. Prices for our room very high as we paid extra for the large balcony. Location, views, comfortable and a very good breakfast are appreciated.

Front desk is very busy, even when not really busy. Know what I mean?

The hotel is very nice (despite being branded a Best Western). The staff was great - super helpful and friendly, and the location is pretty amazing (right on the waterfront, less than a block from the ferry, just a few blocks from downtown in one direction, and just a few blocks from the ride to the top of the mountain on the other). While there isn't a lot of parking, we were able to grab a spot right in front of the hotel. The breakfast was tasty and had a bunch of options; not the best we had but a nice one and worth indulging in. We had balconies overlooking the lake and the view was great.

The AC was pretty weak, which wasn't ideal in the middle of a heatwave - even with it on max the rooms were pretty hot. The coffees at the breakfast were from a machine, so not great.

We got a room with an amazing view and the staff were super friendly, I forgot my toothbrush and was able to get one from the reception. The location was perfect for hiking to San Salvatore or to visit the Lido, and we also got the free public transport card

The interior and rooms could be modernised

Excellent location on the lakeshore. Room is well furnished; breakfast is excellent.

Restaurant à bit noisy (some echo) especially if the terrasse cannot be used due to rainy and windy conditions. The portions of the dishes on the menu are a little small.

The location of the hotel is second to none. I can view lake Lugano from the balcony of my room. In addition, the hotel is close to Lugano center and Parco Cianii. The hotel also serves very good breakfast.

Guests of the hotel can park their cars in the parking garage adjacent to the hotel. However, a hotel staff member has to open and close the garage when one wants to park or retrieve one's car.
