The check in was a great experience as the hotel is family owned and the front desk is run by a family member that made us very welcome and was extraordinarily friendly and helpful. The hotel had been renovated so the rooms and especially the bathrooms are modern, of high quality and comfortable including ACs for climate control. The included breakfast was great and had everything you'd expect in addition to a delicious Birchermüssli. The hotel also has a stunning outdoor eating area. Within a 3 minute walk you're at a public lake swimming area and within 15 at the ascona old town.

The one thing noticeable is somewhat small rooms. The receptionist however was so friendly as to upgrade us to a larger one which was perfect if you're not planning to stay in the room all that much anyways.

The room was very modern with all the amenities one would expect. Comfortable bed, fridge, safe, mini wardrobe area and a small balcony. The breakfast had good options. The hotel is just a short walk to the lake front.

We don't know what it was, but we heard a constant clicking noise throughout the night. Perhaps a device activated by movement on the corridor, that definitely disturbed our sleep. Carpark spaces are available in front of the property, but you still have to pay for them.

Excellent staff and hotel. We were treated so well from start to finish, they were so friendly and accommodating, it made our stay. Breakfast was super and the room was very clean. We really appreciated the welcome drinks and early check in. Highly recommend this family run hotel. Perfect for a weekend overnight stay from Zurich. Many thanks!

Location is a short walk to the main square in Ascona, so further than most hotels in the town (which we knew on booking ☺️), but as a result the area is very quiet and peaceful

The front desk staff was very friendly and welcoming, and the room was clean and comfortable. While the hotel wasn’t anything fancy, it was just right for a short one-night stay.

he air conditioning didn’t cool the room properly, which made it hard to sleep well. Also, the breakfast was quite limited and felt a bit disappointing considering the relatively high price we paid.

This is the one of the best hotel that i ever had. The room is clean and well organized. Most of all, the hostess is very very kind. We arrived over the midnight, but there is no problem concerning check-in. She prepare everything before and let me know how to check-in, we could easily check-in even it was midnight. And also the breakfast was perfect. They prepared homemade jam and bread and etc, it was best breakfast i ever had in switzerland. She also care about my children, during the breakfast she prepare toys for my children. Everything was perfect. I really satisfied with the hotel. If i have another chance, i will definitely go there again.

Nothing at all

The hotel staff was warm and welcoming. The rooms were comfortable and the location was fantastic. The breakfast was good and we loved the decor. A great patio to leisurely enjoy the peace and surrounding beauty. The hotel radiates an amazing energy. I would definitely stay again.

Location and it had parking

We stay at hotels where they charge you for the night stay for one room not per person for one room. Being charged around 200ch each person to stay in one room is not normal for use travellers around the world. And I have stayed at one or two places in Switzerland that charged me for the room both the people.

The place is cosy with an intimate family vibe. The staff is incredibly kind, patient and friendly. The accommodation is a 5 min walk from the lake and 5 min away from the bus station.

Was more expensive than other hotels that are right by the lake side. The room space was also small.

The staff was excellent and very helpful, especially the lady at the front desk who checked me in. She made everything very easy for my brief stay. The room was just as expected and very comfortable. Excellent location, only a short walk to the lake and short walk from the bus (which is free when you book a hotel).

It’s rare nowadays to find a hotel in which care, kindness and attention to details are still all present and important. Our stay has been perfect, from start to finish. Highly recommended.
