The rooms are cozy, comfortable and exceptionally clean. The distinguishing feature of the Osteria Ascona is its attentive and cordial staff. You may think that the people who host your room don't matter, but in Ascona (and most anywhere) the people are the difference between a good stay and a memorably wonderful experience. Entering the rooms through a dark and creepy side alley is offputting (though there's ample light once you reach the stairs). A solar light at the corner would help. An available plug by the bed is wanting.

The property was very conviently situated to our interest points in Ascona. Close to a lot of restaurants. The check in procedure was really smooth, picked up the keys from a locked box at the location.

I would say the location is perfect for a night or two, however, the room is quiet small. It was not a big problem for us because we were out all day and only returning to the room to sleep.

Fantastic place for our family to stay. The staff was exceptional and the room was so spacious and comfortable. The air conditioning helped so much in the heat with a small baby. They provided a cot for us and always made sure we had everything we needed. The location is great, not far from the main part of town but far enough so you really don't hear anything. The blinds helped so much with the sound at night and the bright heat during the day. I was really nervous traveling with our baby for the first time from England, but the main woman working at the hotel (and the restaurant!) was so helpful and kind. She works nonstop and really does an incredible job. I highly recommend staying here!

Just note that there are many stairs to the apartment. Not terrible, just heavy to carry luggage and baby stuff. Not a deal breaker for us, but if this is something you struggle with this might not be the place for you.

Great location and only a very short stroll to the main attractions of the village. Very comfortable bed and delicious breakfast.

Someone was smoking in room #3 which creates an uncomfortable, stale smell in the room. Needs to be fully re-painted, curtain replaced, etc.

The price is super fair and the location itself as well as the accomodation is perfect. We had a room for three people with plenty of space and, most importantly, a fantastic view of the lake. Everything was also very clean and cozy. The handover of the keys worked perfectly as well.

Great breakfast with fantastic view and very nice staff. Rooms situated immediately above restaurant with separat entrance. Rooms not very big but with great view, ac, and CLEAN. Management/reception very nice and accommodating. Happy to recommend to anyone looking for a great value staying here.

Location is perfect! The room was very clean with lake view. The staff were very nice and friendly, and took extra step to accommodate and prepare breakfast for me due to my conference time schedule, which made my stay even more enjoyable!

The room is tidy and has windows over the full width. This, in combination with its orientation to the south, means you get to enjoy a beautiful sunrise AND sunset over the lake! Staff is very friendly and helpful, we recommend you book your stay here.

Extremely cute building in such a favourable and calm location, the room was simple but cozy and perfect to just come back to when tired and in need for a nap or to spend the one night.

There’s nothing we particularly did not like, it was just unfortunate that the restaurant there is undergoing renovation and therefore was closed. It will be something to try for the next time.

Comfortable simple room, hearty breakfast, great location next to the promenade, easy to find, wonderful restaurant for dinner. We stayed during a slow period so there was lots of open public parking in front.
