- Everyone in the hotel is super kind and friendly, always with a smile. - Location is great, literally next to Paradiso train station and next to the lake, with plenty of shops and restaurants. - Rooms are spacious, quite clean and you have everything you might need. - When we asked for an iron, it was immediately brought to us. - Hotel is generally beautiful, modern and looks new. - I loved that they provide Rituals products in the bathroom, especially cause they had my favorite scent.

- The hotel is pet friendly, which is cute, but unfortunately there was quite a strong dog smell in our room when we entered. We had to keep the window open all the time to minimize the smell. - Breakfast was a bit boring for me. I didn't find many healthy options so I basically ate everyday the same omelet. For the price paid per night and for a 4star hotel I would expect something better. - Pool area is nice and you always find space to sit, but because the hotel is surrounded by buildings you got very limited sun. Some more greenery around would be nice as well.

The location is very good. Breakfast was okay — it might suit European tastes better. The room was nice, the bed was very comfortable and clean. It was also very quiet. We stayed on the 7th floor, right next to the elevator, and it was still peaceful. and a nice warm pool.

We arrived just 30 minutes before the official check-in time, and the reception informed us that we’d need to pay extra for early check-in. Honestly, that’s ridiculous. Charging for such a short difference feels unreasonable and not very customer-friendly.

We love the location of this hotel as it’s right next to the funicular for Mont San Salvatore and we love to go up and have dinner as the sun goes down at the restaurant at the top. The pool is delightful- towels provided, breakfast is great, staff lovely, and the room works well for a family - yes it’s a sofa bed for the kids but pulls out into two separate beds rather than one. Total bonus that the hotel provides a Ticino card giving you free travel around Lugano. Paradiso is 4 minutes by train from the main station or an easy bus ride.

I loathe the coffee machines at breakfast. Please bring back fresh coffee options. The room is small for 4 people, so wouldn’t work if you were here for a long time

All the staff were friendly and helpful, from breakfast staff to house keeping, especially the gentleman at reception who gave us recommendations about visiting Morcote. Location was great, arrived by train to Paradiso which is a 5 min walk to the hotel. Its also a short walk to the lake, where we were at one end and could walk lakeside to Lugano to the other side. Also conveniently located next to the funicular to the top of the mountain for 360 panoramic views.

The double bed was actually two singles pushed together which if I pay for a double bed i'd expect a double bed with one mattress. This meant that there was then a ridge between myself and my partner which wasn't particularly comfortable. Also the Ticino card would have been useful if it were given in advance then we could have made use of it on our journey to Lugano.

Location, easy access, parking, kids games, welcoming staff.

Breakfast should have more variety, like some arabic dishes. Also they should write the names and the components of the dishes. For the bathroom, the glass is not covered will so you can see anyone inside it during the shower. Changing the towels on daily base should be shown.

I thought everything was excellent, especially the staff was very kind, friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was a very nice assortment of all kinds of things. The rooms were nice & clean. The dinner offered in the lobby bar/restaurant was great. I was concerned after reading some of the negative reviews about breakfast, staff, etc, but I found everything to be really terrific.

Great location, though a bit of a walk to the city center. Convenient parking available directly under the hotel for 23 CHF per day. Rooms are spacious and nicely appointed. City Pass included with the stay.

Breakfast was quite disappointing; items were not replenished promptly. Pastries were dry. Staff at breakfast was not particularly attentive or accommodating.

We loved our stay at the hotel. Great location, near to the lake, to Mt. San Salvatore, easy access with public transport, many options of restaurants nearby. The staff were very friendly, the breakfast was delicious and with a lot of variety of foods, and the swimming pool was a plus after an enjoyable day.

We don’t have any complaints.

Amazing staff, the hotel is sparkling clean. I am glad I chose Novotel for my short holidays in Lugano. The location is great, in walking distance to lugano center, migros, bus and train station. I will definetely come back.

Maybe some different options on the breakfast on a daily basis, more salad options would be great. But again, it was great.
