The hotel sent me the Ticino ticket ahead of my arrival and as such, I was able to take the furnicular from the train station and use it for public transportation throughout my stay. The next furnicular stop is right next to the hotel. Check-in was efficient and speedy. Steven was friendly, prompt and helpful. The room was clean, cool, quiet with eco friendly facilities. I had the best sleep in ages. The breakfast was a wide spread of hot food, assortment of bread, fruits, deserts. They also offered luggage storage facilities. The hotel is located within the shopping areas and a short walk away from Lake Lugano. Perfect stay.

Perfect stay

This hotel is located in the center of Lugano. Could not have wished for a better location and a train just outside the door step taking you up the hill. This was even included in the price of the hotel. (not a noise train, more like a tram that you couldn't hear but leaving every 10 minutes or so. Super handy!) The hotel itself was magnificent and had the best buffe breakfast we have ever eaten! We travel a fare bit and have been staying at many hotels but this one is one of the best ones. Breakfast was another level! Actually all their meals and cocktails was spot on!! Staff were super friendly and helping. Surrounded by heaps of other restaurants. Highly recommend this hotel!

Absolutely nothing!! We have nothing to complain about.

Very warm and friendly hotel, close to the railway station (just take the funicular down to the town, free with a public transport card, and you are on the hotel’s doorstep). Italian is the main language spoken, but staff all multilingual. Not a lot of space in the room around the bed, but lots of nice touches – a plant to clean the air, a personalized welcome letter on the bed, air conditioning (not usual in hotels we have stayed in) but openable windows as well. Best night's sleep and best breakfast in Switzerland so far! Easy walk everywhere in the town centre and to the lake. Plenty of restaurants nearby but you do need to book popular ones in advance.

Trying to work the shower without flooding the bathroom or scalding myself! Even following the written instructions, I found it really hard to turn the water on and to adjust the temperature.

This is a luxurious (and expensive) hotel in an excellent city centre, but very quiet, location. The location is a traffic-free square just below the railway station. Access to the square is by a frequent and reasonably-priced funicular (no need for a taxi, the hotel is just steps away from the funicular). Lugano is situated on a stunningly beautiful lake, with snow-covered mountains rising above it. The room was large and beautifully furnished in a modern style. The bathroom was larger than most, and all the fittings were top-class. Best of all, our room had a kettle, so we could make tea as we like it, which means made with boiling water.

We didn't like the dinner in the restaurant, which somewhat coloured our opinion of the stay, although the room was perfect. The food was of the fashionable, imaginative kind, while we prefer simple and traditional. The dinner was also extremely expensive.

The breakfast was excellent. Great variety for all tastes. The breakfast room however is a bit cramped though and there is not much privacy to talk between tables. The location of the hotel could not be more practical for travellers relying on public transport. We were served by Valentina at the front desk. She could not have been more helpful- she is a tremendous asset to the hotel.

We were extremely fortunate to have benefited from a snap deal on prices. While the room was extremely comfortable, it offered a view on to a construction site.

Very good location near to train ( ticket included ) and the breakfast very good and tasty &healthy and you can order thr breakfast at room without any extra fees! And there is a plant in the room .and the products in the toilets are without any harm ingredients. Staff are very friendly and when i ask to change the room they accept it easily . And for mini bar they give water and 3 fizzy drinks for free to refill daily.

The family room was quite big for 4 people. The living area fits one sofa bed and one foldable bed. There are sliding door to separate the bedroom and living area totally which was ideal. Bathroom and toilet are large and separated. The food and service in the restaurant was fantastic, we stayed on Christmas Day had lunch and dinner in the restaurant and both were tasty! The breakfast buffet was great and extensive! Very happy with the location too, just at the bottom of the funicular.

The staff were really friendly and spoke good English. The rooms are very well equipped and very modern. The breakfast was perfect with a great variety of dishes. The mixology bar was also great and we tasted their own Gin. There is an robotic underground parking upon charged which we used. The location super central and convenient.

Parking waiting area was really warm even with a fan. Air conditioning would be appreciated!

If anyone wishes to see what excellent hospitality is, they should stay at Luganodante. "We like you" is not a marketing slogan but a way of living and treating the customers with the highest hospitality standards, friendliness, kindness and smile. The staff (reception, breakfast staff, housekeeping, restaurant) goes beyond their way to make you feel good. The hotel is perfectly located, literally 30seconds from the funicular. Rooms are cosy and well equipped (coffee, tea and bar with soft drinks included). Breakfast is breathtaking - the variety is great with plenty of tasty options in place and the best coffee ever. When we go back to Lugano this will be definitely our choice to stay. Upon the check out, each guest receives a bottle of water and you may leave luggage in the storage. Right besides the funicular from Lugano Bahnhof. Short walk to lake Lugano and the city Center with many choices of restaurants. Room is clean and modernly decorated. Breakfast with great variety and I really enjoyed the breakfast. Shops near the hotel is amazing and there are even price down during this period. Staff are very friendly and nicely approachable, even house keeping team. Giving you all sorts of information for travelling around Ticino and Como.
