Nice mix of very modern and very old style. You can check-in with your smartphone and everything is fully automated. The room was clean and tidy. There is a very cozy garden in the backyard that let's you relax in the hot summer evenings. Very close to the train station.

Some of the automation controls are not super-intuitive, but the personnel is readily available and ready to answer any question. There is not always someone at the hotel though, but you can easily reach them by phone at any time. The bathroom (at least in the room I had) doesn't have much privacy, as the mirror can be turned open.

Amazing hotel owner, attentive to every detail and guest requests, very warm welcome and support throughout the stay! Great location near the railway station. Stylish design and modern appliances.

Some technical challenges with check-in and air conditioning that were fixed quickly.

A really exceptional stay! They had the three most important elements: 1- It was a spotless room and bathroom; there really wasn't a spec of dirt. 2- A very comfortable bed and soft bedding. 3- Such friendly staff and owner! Can't wait to go back!

We were there for two nights, and it was really perfect for it! The only things to keep in mind is space, so if you're travelling for a long time, it may be frustrating not to have a closet to put your clothes in or ample space in the room. But for a few nights, it's perfect. The second thing is you can't do much with the air conditioning, it was slightly too hot for me with the AC on, and I couldn't lower it further, but I had brought a small fan with me, and that helped.

Loved the concrete/rustic style interior, very modern finishing and the attention to detail, everything design wise carefully thought out. Interesting art pieces dotted throughout, nice little space on different levels outside with shade. Loved the room very clean and comfortable, great sleep and the shower was amazing. Easy walk to the funicular to go down into the city, close to the train, handy to pop on free local trains using the tourist pass provided, lovely hosts who were more than helpful.

Property fantastic, the only thing that could be improved is breakfast. Artisan in nature, however, not suiting our personal taste as not much to eat as such especially if vegetarian. More than 1 type of bread would offer variety, addition of boiled eggs and change the croissant which was very oily and far removed from a normal croissant would much improve. Good coffee and orange juice. Kettle available for use downstairs and water dispenser excellent idea with both cold still and sparkling water.

Hotel is good, comfortable, designs and decoration and all. Staff was nice. Took two points on value for money + location. Although location is not bad, you still need to walk to the funicular to go down to the old town; and on value, it was a lot pricier in comparison to another very similar hotel category we were in Ascona, although Lugano is indeed more expensive so not entirely apples to apples. Overall, still a good choice

Nothing major. Garden feels very underused though. You could have some lights there and maek some tea available, would add a lot of value.

The design took advantage of old features in the structure and went modern. I loved the high ceilings and exposed beams and chunky plaster walls combined with exposed pipes and natural-finished wood flooring. It was clean, spare, but also warm. It is conveniently located near the train station, and very quiet. Daniel was a terrific host. So helpful with recommendations and directions. We liked the travel pass, too. Daniel suggested in our short time that we take the train to Paradiso and ride the funicular to Monte San Salvatore for a great panoramic view that doesn't take as much time as Mt. Bre. It was spectacular, and we appreciated the great tip.

The room was very high-tech, and the tech was mostly installed to conserve energy. That was great, but there were some issues at times like the blinds randomly going up and down. As noted, the location was convenient to the train station but when we first arrived we didn't know the right route and ended up taking all our bags up a lot of stairs to come down an alleyway and stumble upon the hotel. Clearer instructions from the train station would be helpful. Also, note that this hotel is not in the lakeside area or Piazza della Riforma, and Lugano is hilly. There is a great funicular from the train station down to the shopping/restaurant area but walking on a hilly terrain is still needed. This isn't a negative -- just a precaution.

Comfortable and very close to rail station. 2-3 minutes walk and no steps if you leave / enter the station from platform 4. Management and staff are very helpful. Electronic check in and keys are easy.

Would have preferred a small fridge in the room, but we knew it didn’t have one and there is a community fridge on the ground floor.

This is a delightfully different hotel very near the train station. It was filled with small artistic pieces - there were more than a half dozen pieces in our room. The architecture of the hotel - recently remodeled - is compelling, reminding me of the Bauhaus school in Germany. There is a comfortable breakfast/work room and a lovely garden area.

The use of technology - e.g. web check-in and a web app to open your room door - could be off-putting to some.

Spotlessly clean. Staff very helpful. Great fun artwork throughout the hotel. Google maps took us on a wild goose chase.whuch was challenging with the luggage. Very close to the station but clear instructions on how to navigate out of the station would have been very helpful..

Getting lost trying to find it on the first day. Totally need your smartphone at all times. If you forget to take it you can't access anything. Keys are via App on phone.

The hotel is fabulous with lots of quirky touches that make it interesting to look at. The staff were friendly and super helpful. Although I was worried about using the app to open doors etc, it was simple and easy to use. The room was clean and comfortable and the shower was fantastic. Just a short walk from train station and funicular it was a great place to stay. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel and would most definitely stay here again.
