What a perfect stay! I came to celebrate my birthday and couldn’t have chosen a more perfect hotel. The staff were wonderful and kind, and intuitive with anything I could possibly need. The room was spacious and beautiful and I loved the private garden! The whole hotel is stunning and the views from the main garden are spectacular. Both of the property’s restaurants had wonderful service and food, and breakfast each morning was delicious. The town of Morcote is so charming, and I loved being able to explore and spend time by the lake. I would recommend using a car to get to the hotel or into the town in case of low physical fitness or any mobility issues, as the climb is very steep with lots of stairs. This place is so special, I’m going to miss it dearly!

Very nice location, great area for walking around, very private and picturesque

A guy was cutting the grass for the hotel during breakfast. It was very loud and we couldn't enjoy the food and rushed to get it over with. During checkout I complained about it, but the lady who checked us out had zero interest in this. Also we were buying honey from their shop during checkout, so this was a perfect opportunity to make it up to us, by not charging for it. But they did, so instead of being cared for we felt ignored.

Absolutely beautiful hotel. Breakfast was really tasty and served on a terrace with a lake view.

Getting to the hotel without a car is a challenge, google maps doesn’t show the shortcut so we had to call the hotel to explain the way to us. I would suggest the hotel to add some details how to walk to the hotel from the lake. The walk up is very steep and takes ca 25 mins to a person with a good fitness level. However this option should be still explained to guests if they prefer to travel without a car.

The situation of the hotel away from the hussel and bussel of the world, made the stay at the hotel special. The rooms were decorated with a good mix of old world and modern. The garden area was also a good area to relax. The hotel also has a lounge area, which means that you are not resrichted to your room.

The bathroom in our room was very tight.

Our stay was simply marvellous! Morcote is truly beautiful and the Relais is an exquisite little hotel. The design and interior is really well done and it’s even more beautiful than in the pictures. Everybody from the staff was really nice and attentive, especially Alex :) We will definitely be back. Thank you for such a lovely stay!

Design and ambience is a definite 10. Staff is very welcoming and accommodating, especially like the large living room and other areas outside of our room which we used to relax play games and hang out.

There was construction right outside our window that we were not informed of until we arrived very noisy every afternoon

We cannot say enough about how wonderful this place is. The decor and detail are next to none, the staff kind and knowledgeable, and the breakfast was very high quality. We visited Como and would only stay on lake Lugano from here on out. Morcote has a ton of charm and great restaurants, and getting around with public transportation was easy. Highly recommend!!

Loved everything about this magical, small hotel: staff (Andrea and Maria) food, room and public spaces decor, the quiet, the stunning views from our room, and their hotel and farm restaurants. Perfect place.

We loved our stay here, it's such a personal experience and very cozy. The staff are so helpful and welcoming, the rooms and hotel all beautiful.

The Morcote ferry to get to Lugano is actually quite far away by foot.

A beautiful place in the middle of paradise... It couldn´t be better! I celebrated my 60´th birthday while visiing you, and this will be a memory for the rest of my life.
