This was the second time staying here. Very convenient from Calais (about 40 mins) and nice quiet country location. Grounds were beautiful. Parking was easy. The restaurant was very good and not too expensive. We had a nice room on the ground floor with a comfortable bed and a good sized bathroom. We would definitely stay here again! The area around the hotel looked really interesting and would like to explore next time.
We paid for our stay in the evening before we left (we left at 7.15am) and explained that we would not need breakfast. We were told that staff came in at 6.30am and would give us coffee and a croissant to take with us, so we said that would be great, thanks! However, when we came to check out, there was no-one about, the gates to reception and restaurant area were all locked! Left the keys hanging on the gates! Not a major disaster and we would stay again.

This is a wonderful Chateau and we love to visit and have stayed many times before. A very comfortable room, ( no noise issues at all) excellent bed and bathroom. Slippers and dressing gowns very welcome. The Restaurant and dinner were very good indeed. Service was excellent and the food was delicious. Breakfast was delicious with good choices.
Unfortunately on this visit our room cleanliness wasn’t as good as usual. It had previously had a dog stay in it and the windowsill was covered in dust and dog hair and pieces of dog treats. When mentioned to Reception, they responded very positively and apologetically and said they would contact Housekeeping immediately.

Situated 20 mins from Calais port in a quiet country location. Room was very small but perfectly formed. Luxury bedding and super comfortable bed. Bathroom modern and clean. Restaurant served good food and service was good.
Breakfast was served until 10am but we arrived at 9am to find a lot of things had run out and could not be replaced despite the efforts of our very pleasant waitress ( No croissants left in a French restaurant ! ) Fruit salad appeared to be from a tin and not fresh. No natural yogourt. Cold meats were the remains of the platter. Disappointing in a hotel of this calibre.

It's a pleasant manoir set in its own grounds and within striking distance of the Channel Tunnel. The bed in our room was large, comfortable and with good pillows. The nicely decorated bathroom. The best thing however was dinner. A really fabulous meal. Not cheap but you do get what you pay for. We weren't there long enough to explore the whole building but it is beautifully decorated and is extremely comfortable. The staff were discreet but helpful.
No under cover parking for our two motorcycles especially as the weather was very wet when we arrived and over night. No lift, so you carry your own bags upstairs. No pool or sauna/steam room to relax in after a very long journey. I wish now that I had booked a larger room. Ours was rather small with most of the room taken up by the large bed but okay for an overnight stay. The meal we ate in the restaurant was wonderful but quite expensive (our choice). The property is quite remote so no choice to eat anywhere else without a drive. The booking was for room only, no breakfast included and would have been an extra 16 euros each.

Dinner was excellent. The cuisine is of a very high standard and more than compensated for the slightly limited number of options on the menu. We didn't have breakfast. Our room was one of the smaller sized rooms and less "chateau style" than we had expected but the bed was very comfortable, the bedlinen was high quality. The ensuite was large, with modern fittings and very hot water! Everything in the Chateau was was spotlessly clean. The gardens and grounds were extensive and well maintained. A very enjoyable stay and well worth a visit.
A wider choice on the menu and a slightly more "Chateau " style bedroom.

In a great position, very quiet and peaceful with lovely grounds. The bar area was comfy with soft leather arm chairs and beautiful stone floors and the dining room was full of light from large windows. The food was excellent and good value for the €39 menu. The bed was comfortable and the room nicely decorated if on the small side, low ceiling so rather warm during the night. It was a perfect overnight stay for us after leaving the Eurostar station.

I loved the building at first sight, and it was not a disappointment inside. Though the driveway had a few potholes which would not upset a normal car, but did affect a low car. Dinner was nice. Though I did not like any of the beers i tried. Cost of drinks soon ads up! Bathroom was good, room was not large but acceptable. fascinating hisory though unsure why the tunnels under the lawn are not studied?
No real complaints ( other than the beer) but if i had a plot like that then I would have some colour in the garden, bulbs possibly under the trees.

Dinners were excellent although there is an additional cost for quite a number of items on the menu. The hotel is in a quiet location and the ambience in the restaurant is usually peaceful bit on one night there was a large group staying which was no doubt good for business but not so welcome by the other guests!
Breakfast is buffet service but unless you get there early there is little left. The reception staff were not particularly welcoming.

We have stayed at Chateau De Cocove many times after crossing over to Calais. It is such a beautiful place and so easy to reach from the Shuttle. We are really impressed with the changes made to the rooms and generally to the hotel. The staff were delightful. We look forward to staying again on our return trip.
Where have the chickens gone? We loved seeing them even though the cockerel woke early!!

The location was perfect in that it was close to our arrival point in France. It was easy to find and conveniently reasonably close to the autoroute south.
Only one fairly minor but surprising failing was the design of the bathroom. In order to look modern there were no glass screens around the shower. When in use water sprayed beyond the tray and dare I say it, in common with most French plumbing-designed in the belief that water runs uphill, the result was a very wet floor!
